San's voice is really special and I appreciate how all of the Ateez members get to do these cover/highlight videos to showcase their vocals (but kind of also their own artistic perspectives) more! KQ is doing a really good job in my opinion giving every members the opportunity to release something for their birthdays or as special videos! San did in fact release another cover for his birthday last year! It's Breathe by Lee Hi (https://youtu.be/6wyM0yuK5dM?si=NGBb9JvMjrnt4vst) and on the topic of underappreciated vocals... Yunho did a cover of a Japanese song それがあなたの幸せとしても - Even If That is Your Happiness for his birthday (https://youtu.be/jm4BRlR5Vds?si=w8efLycETXik4jC9) and filmed the video for it in Japan... I think that cover is truly a masterpiece that's even not appreciated enough within the fandom! It's his first cover and he really prepared a lot for it, especially considering the deeper meaning of the song... One member with 'hidden' vocals is Yeosang! There's already a reaction to his cover last year, but for this birthday again he released a cover with such a special video for the song To My Youth by Bol4 (https://youtu.be/uHGxKVspmOo?si=i_aTVODuYTBdaE4X) again... just beautifully made and directed! a last suggestion (I could keep going) is Mingi! It's not a cover but a song he wrote himself and released through the "Desire Project" (his aim to release more songs like that showcasing himself) called Tunnel (https://youtu.be/25Ju6DqTJ-g?si=Wfzjxyk6nnmnDcSx)... Again showcasing beautifully what he is capable of also more vocally! Thank you for the reaction!

oh pd I feel the same way about sans voice, in fact, i've never cried listening to covers until I discovered all of sans, I dont know what it is abt his voice but the way he delivers everything seems so raw and real

I remember your first reaction to “Twilight” and during the first high part in the prechorus you were like- “who Is That????” and it was San all along! he’s had a beautiful tone since the beginning 🥲

San's voice in these slower covers really shows what he's capable of. I feel like a lot of people write off his vocals due to his intense performance, but I feel like these songs are a better glimpse into who San truly is as a person. He's so soft and empathetic but it's side you only get to see occasionally if you watch all of their content. I highly highly recommend listening to San's cover of Breathe, it's absolutely gorgeous

Thank you for reacting to this! I feel like people think San is first an agressive go-all-out type of performer than a singer, but he has a beautiful voice and it needs to be appreciated. I think you'd really like his cover for 'Breathe' because it really showcases his vocals from high to low and in between. <3

I’m so happy you finally reacted to this!! And you’re right, San as the Lead Vocalist of Ateez doesn’t get appreciated enough mostly because he rarely has projects where he can showcase his vocals. Imagine having his first solo song cover after 5 years?? Speaking of that you gotta react to his song cover of Lee Hi’s Breathe!! I cried😭 His voice is also my favorite, there is just something in the way he sings that speaks to the audience. I really wish he gets more opportunities to show off his vocal abilities like letting him appear on shows like King of Masked Singer.
