This song is what I needed so much!! These past few days I have been in a weird state of mind because of what happened with Liam Payne (me being big One Direction fan). And this song… this song completely changed my mood and I have not listened any other song since its release!! Like… APT. is on replay all the day 😅😅 I love how simple it is and how it is focused on two of them only. The whole Grease-like vibe fits them so much!! Also… prior to this release Bruno was joking in his post that Rosé tried to kiss him while working on this song and then she replied as if she was embarrassed, so it all perfectly leans to this concept and music video 😅😅 Regarding comparing BLACKPINK’s solos… It has always been between Jennie and Rosé for me. And now after their YG departure, Rosé takes the first place all the way with this song! I mean, Mantra by Jennie has grown on me a lot and she mentioned in a video she would be releasing an album too, therefore I get why Mantra serves just as an “intro/teaser song”. But APT.?? I am speechless and teary eyed. And this is only a pre-release for the upcoming (December) full length album!! I cannot imagine how anything can surpass this, but even if it didn’t… this song alone most likely will keep the first place for me. This might be the best Kpop x Western artist collab, but also one of the best collabs at all!! Also… considering how Bruno Mars is popular in Korea (pretty much every idol/celebrity of Korea went to his concert there), I fucking hope he comes there again and performs this with Rosé. Koreans are already known for knowing the lyrics top to bottom and singing them with the artist pretty much the whole concert, but doing that for THIS SONG 🥹🥹🙀🙀 Just imagine “the whole nation” there singing: “아파트 아파트…“

She is actually signed to Atlantic, and she is mostly recording the music with them. Bruno is also signed to them, that's how this collab happened I guess. She said she pitched to label for a collab with Bruno, they reached out to him. Bruno asked rosé to pitch in 3 songs to him. Once he learned that APatu means Korean drinking game,he wanted to do the collab on this song. That's a fun cute detail regarding this collab. So she said she teached this apartment game to her Western team one day in the studio and everyone was so hyped to play and chant along to that apartment , so that's how she wrote this song. She said her new album is just about herself, it's an album with 12 songs that's so rare in kpop in general so I'm very excited

You're right PD there is something really special about this song and I would say it's personality. Rosé said herself that her album consists of so much of her own personality that it will really show and tell how Rosé aside from her life as an idol actually is. She said if you listen to the album you'll see her more like her family and friends do & I think APT was a great start to that. It's a song that just bursts with personality, charisma and chemistry (with Bruno, who also helped Rosé to produce the song).
