The amount of CARE into the inkigayo stage 😭 inkigayo respects them so much wow — inkigayo also gives them the best treatment for GOLD too!!

As much as I think Imaginary Friend is a masterpiece, with Gold being a title track I don’t think the flow would match if this was a pre release vs a follow up song/second title track to GOLD 🤔 I think we would get a Bet On Me situation where Cake was the title track but Bet On Me set the wrong vibe for the comeback and peoples reaction are dampened, I think if you have a bombastic title track (I am a gold defender trust I do think it’s the perfect comeback song for the album and for Lia bc it’s so energetic and celebratory) then you have to have the energy forward song first and then a cooler song after bc people get thrown off or they want more of the haunting vibe and then REALLY dislike a happy/fierce energy like they wouldn’t as readily accept a headbanging rock out energy up song bc energy is down here and subtle (tldr: a very un-nuanced simplified breakdown— for fans happy song-> sad song is easier to accept vs. sad song-> now BE HAPPY AND BOMBASTIC bc it feels “forced” when the audience was just melancholic)

Honestly this is probably my fav itzy song and performance right now (though they’ve never really missed for me, title track and b-sides). I tear up every time and there’s just something so dark but comforting in how they deliver the lyrics/performance. Also glad to hear I’m not the only one tearing up lol

10000% agree on the "proud of Lia" part. There been plenty of moments since her return that made me feel really really proud of her, but this stage alongside her breaking breaking down in tears while thanking MIDZY for waiting for her return during the ending bit of their fanmeeting outdid everything. I'm not somebody to get emotional really but damn that shit hit back to back

i am 100% in agreement with you on everything. the camera work, the emotional impact, the release schedule, everything. The styling and outfits for their stages have been awesome as well, the aesthetic is so so so good and their visuals and charisma is just chef's kiss. really looking foward to their final 2 stages on music core and another INKIGAYOOO

I agree on the camera work for sure, but I don’t think imaginary friend should’ve been a prerelease only bc it would’ve made the album fall flat for me. I needed it’s hard hitting emotional track after gold🥲 If imaginary friend came out first, I would’ve been let down by gold and the rest of the album in comparison (bc I did love the entire album!!)

i dont remember when it was the last time that a music show stage actually gave me goosebumps and made me shiver because it was so beautiful, but Itzy & Inkigayo did it with this one. Just incredible.
