I’m so excited!!! Love these girls so much I hope you’ll watch the show one day hehe

Iman
>>156543147

or better yet you should really watch the show! the performances are so amazing 😅

Iman
>>156543147

i’m not even exaggerating when i say she was that good on the show too! she was rated number one in dance by all the trainees before the show even started!!

Marii

i’m glad i’m not the only one that loved this debut 😭 one thing im glad about (that others have complained about) is just from watching this mv, you’d have no idea who the number 1 pick in the survival show was 😂 hope you watch their mama stage :D

Marii
>>156543067

i second giving iland 2 a try 😂 it’s a great watch, & an even better watch now that you enjoy their presence and their debut song!!

Form of Therapy
>>156543544

I have like 3 candidates in my head. But tbh I think that's pretty dope that they didn't do the classic "THIS IS THE #1 WINNER" and allows their talent to speak for themselves. But I can also see why people would have issue with it as well.

Deniz Ak

Still cant believe i saw them live first row at kcon Germany even before they debuted🥹 if anyone wants to see a first row fancam let me know, it was so cool

Deniz Ak
>>156543067

I mean you can give it a try, if you don't like it maybe you could just watch the performances

Marii
>>156543544

i’m curious 👀 who are your top three? you can describe clothing or their hair 😂 but i also don’t know if you want me to answer you if you ever end up watching it 😂

Nell ♡

please watch the show pd. it will showcase their talents waaay more than their debut and how they improved as artists and people. also the performances were great. all the contestants were really talented

Deniz Ak

Also i think the bsides are gonna blow your mind, in my opinion every bside surpasses the title track on this one

Kim Chaewon

Just wait till u watch their mama stage! Everyone has already said how amazing they were on ILAND2 but something noteworthy too is how great the songs on the show are! Not just the songs selected to cover but specifically produced ones too.

Form of Therapy
>>156543544

No need to spoil but my guess is: Koko, the girl with the brown arm warmers, or the girl with ATHOLI 4 jersey. AM I AT LEAST IN THE BALLPARK

sussan

I know people said that the show was bad but the performances are great! I hope you decide to check it out because you’ll be gagged at how talented they actually are. Also the album has 3 songs that were on the show!

Nell ♡
>>156543865

trust me you'll enjoy it. even if you dont wanna watch the whole thing just the performances itself are really good and speak volumes

Form of Therapy
>>156544410

So I'm curious, what aspect of it is "bad" per say? Because I just watched RTK Ace of Ace Ep 1 and watched MNET totally emotionally traumatize a boy so I think my tolerance is OK--

Marii
>>156543544

…. the best part about this is they aren’t throwing them in your face telling you they were number 1 🥳 good guesses though 😂😭

jessie
>>156543761

That’s so cool!!! I’m so glad they got live performance experience before their debut I haven’t watched the mama stages yet but the clips I’ve seen are insane

bannsutie
>>156544410

id say it's the overdramatization of certain contestants' relationships. also the judges provide some questionable and incosistent feedback. thats just my opinion though. besides that its totally worth watching

Marii
>>156544410

honestly this is probably the least “traumatizing” survival show i think i’ve ever seen? the only thing i will say is it was quite obvious sometimes on who the judges disliked and how mnet attempted to “evil edit” the girls & their friendships with each other.

sussan
>>156544410

yeah people don’t like it because of the editing, but i’m so used to the mnet editing that it doesn’t even faze me anymore. i actually really liked the show because if feels more personal due to the small number of contestants.

Deniz Ak
>>156543761

I was worried nobody would know them but they got such a good crowd, everyone loved them, sometimes even more than groups like the boyz

Kim Chaewon
>>156543959

Yup they were so good they’re majority of the b-sides on this album! Their cover performances were insane too and showcased their potential. just like any debut though, they’ve only briefly shown how talented they are. I think they’ll very quickly become one of your favourites after watching them perform and if u ever watch the show

Kim Chaewon
>>156543959

Let me even drop a very small spoiler so u stop wavering, some performances made me a proud wizone ;) and u know how hard covering izone songs would be

Kim Chaewon
>>156543761

Their kcon stages were insane for a group that hadn’t debuted yet. I was sad that they had technical issues on day 1 but they still did insanely well and my god THEIR MICS WERE ON!

Kim Chaewon
>>156543959

Ok its not just me, i scrolled through the comments of their mama performance and there are many others also saying that the successor to izone has finally arrived! They didnt even debut yet when they performed there which is crazier

ft.wonwooo

many people didn’t like this song but i’m not them and i’m happy that pd also love it!!! this debut song is amazing fr!!🤍

bannsutie
>>156544410

it was especially heartbreaking to see my fav contestants go. during the finale i was literally balling my eyes out

Andie

At first I found the song a bit underwhelming. The chorus sounds so bland to me and it's not the kind of style I usually like, but the hook's been playing in my had for two days so I guess I was wrong hehe. I'm excited to see the live stages. Oh and if you ever change your mind on watching the show, I'm here waiting to watch it with you.

Kuro Kurt

I am still mad at your patreons for not voting for i Land 2

sussan
>>156544410

i’m pretty sure everyone bawled their eyes out. literally everyone from the finally would’ve been great for the group but i can firmly say that the perfect 7 were chosen.

Neeko

They're an incredible group PD! Please check out the show because it actually was very entertaining to watch! Or at least the live stages :) even if its on your own time.

Gekjin

The biggest problem with the show for me was that in part 2 it became very obvious who the producers favourites were, which was a little frustrating if it wasn't your own favourite. My top pick in particular got shafted. But on the whole I enjoyed the show, especially part 1. Also, it's rumoured that H1ghr music are forming a group from the eliminated contestants, so if you watch the show you'd essentially be killing two birds with one stone.

Deniz Ak
>>156543761

I agree! So happy that they were singing this good live. You could see their nervousness go away after the first song, the crowd gave them so much energy and they were just having fun performing

AL

I knew you'd get it, a lot kpop fans say they're tired of empty choruses so this song is very love it or hate it and I personally love it. In terms of the show I fear people might be overselling how "bad" it is, it's just the usual mnet issues. Also people mostly complain about part 2 where all the mnet issues feel worse because there's only 12 contestants and 4 long episodes.

Lexy S

Hi, glad that you checked their debut ! And I was part of the people that voted a big "YES" for the poll for Iland 2. I was very curious to see your reaction to this show and some stuff that happened x) So not really happy with people who voted no T_T I think their performance on MAMA is better than the MV. Tbh the song is good, like it's not one of my favorite song ever but it's a good debut song for me. I'm just really worried about the fact that Teddy is producing for them, I don't know if it will be like this for all their albums for their entire career or just for a specific number of albums/amount of time. But I'm bothered by the way Teddy is trying too hard to push his own idendity on all the groups he's producing for. Koko is so amazing, and I really love her, so I really really hope that they won't just try to make a copy of Lisa out of her. I don't want her to have the same rap, with the same type of flow on every song, please. The MV is nothing extraordinary, but I'm not surprised either. WakeOne MVs are always pretty, and that's it. So, hard to expect some more complex storytelling or just more creativity for them. Their MAMA performance is amazing on another hand, and really showcase their star power, and their skills on stage. Also, all the b-sides are great, so really happy for the girls and their debut ! I really hope the best for them in the future.

Amiracle

i know the poll said no but you should consider watching the show i really enjoyed it

anejelly

I’m lateeee. I just wanna say that I have high hopes for this group in the future comebacks because it is rare for me to see a group where I think everyone is just so equally talented and really stands out so much. but i’m also ngl that I’m in pain knowing that I have to settle to seeing Saebi (blonde hair) for like 5-10 secs in mv and having little lines in their song. I do hope it gets better next comeback because that girl for me is so Xiaoting coded. She is so center material and her stage presence is just way too good. Love the group tho and despite some comments stating dissapointment on their debut I actually like the songs lol.

Aine

I don't think it's so much that some people "hate" the song but find it underwhelming (mostly the chorus), for how very anticipated and hyped people were for this group's debut. But I do like the song! And while I think it's just fine, I do agree with the opinion that chorus not giving a strong enough impact, ESPECIALLY for a debut title track! To me, it feels like the chorus should be part of their intro track (if they had one) - and because the song is so short, you need every part to HIT the mark. I think the one new bside, Time Bomb, was much better in that regard.

Aine

Also, I know the poll to watch this show lost but consider the fact that 39% voted yes out of a total 779 voters, which means at least 300 people still wanted it! A pretty sizeable crowd imo!

Aine
>>156544410

@PD - you have to remember, your tolerance for Mnet emotional trauma is different from the rest of us 😅 so that colors our opinions about the show in general. Same thing happened with Queendom Puzzle - which was in retrospect, not that bad of a show overall. (Plus it gave us the total banger original song that was Bad Blood! I'll never get over how good that song was)

Renee Alvarado

Gonna go on a bit of a tangent so sorry in advance: I just wanna say please check out I-land2!! I originally didn’t want to watch it 1)because I disagree with cjenm as a whole company and how they treated Enhypen after they sold their shares, (that’s a whole separate issue) and 2) I didn’t want to see any more survival shows due to my emotional heart. BUT… once I saw Jeemin (I’ve been rooting for her since runext) was going to be on the show, I HAD to make sure she debuted and watched to support her. Then of course I ended up loving all the girls in the show and was really happy with the lineup which is now IZNA. And I will continue to support all the girls because they’re all so talented, and like you said Charismatic. I’m so proud of them! I guess I have a soft spot for iland groups as Enhypen are my ult ! And now izna I will stay and support ! Also again thank you for the reaction! I really hope you do check iland2 out :)

Bennime

I was really hoping they wouldnt debut with a hiphop song, im sick and tired of listening to teddys music. Im glad that I didnt hate it as much as i thought i would. Its an ok debut, i kinda love the chorus while at the same time thinking that there is something missing in it, its really weird. Since I loved all the songs from Iland 2 so much (which are now on the album as bsides) I cant help but feel a little disappointed. Anyways I agree with everyone else PLEASE watch ILand2 it was so much fun and had some great performances.

FroggyMuds

I would personally really recommend you watch iland 2. I rlly loved it

Kelly

u should watch iland 2

RoNNieTP

As someone who recommends you in the voting poll about only watching the shows’ performance because of it’s very time consuming. I still think the same but it’s up to you to decide. Or maybe when you are more familiar with the group or the members and decide to follow them more then you can pick up the show to start the journey like what you do with Triple S right now.

camelag

Subscribed to your patreon just for this, please watch I-Land 2! I watched A LOT of survival shows, and i really don't get why people are saying its bad, when i thought is one of the fairest ones in terms of everything! It became my favorite survival show by FAR and i really got attached to these girls, please give it a chance. Their MAMA performance of IZNA and TIMEBOMB is even better than the mv in my opinion!

aurora

i rly enjoyed iland2 it had some rly good moments

>>156576574

why does it matter if they watch the whole thing or not? if you aren’t interested don’t watch. I don’t get why yall are telling them to not watch it fully.

Jesse

OMGGGG PLEASE REACT TO ILAND 2 ITS WORTH IT I PROMISE

Jesse

I swear saebi is wonyoung’s daughter…anyone else see it???

valeria castillo

Iland 2 very good, the performances were amazing

>>156576574

I only suggest the choice for PD, it’s up to him to decide what he wants to do. Don’t really know why you feel work up by my comment out of all people when I didn’t force anything at all. If he wants to watch the full show then it’s great. Btw, in that poll, I vote Yes but it’s sadly lost so majority of people here didn’t want him to watch the show at all at that time. But I feel like as time passed by, the reception got better overall.

WiseSmellyLegs

It was announced that Teddy/The Black Label would take care of their music for their whole career. But… regarding any other Teddy’s/The Black Label involvement to the group or I-Land 2, well… it was pretty much like: “The Black Label people were just actors in the show with script what to say and who to choose, because Mnet/WakeOne made a deal with The Black Label, so they were sent them to represent The Black Label, but WakeOne decided, who will be in the group and how the group will look like” Which applies to editing and screentime of contestants, so fans would vote for those, who Mnet/WakeOne wanted… (Only Koko, the first rapper, might have been a slight change in their initial line up, because she got really popular among the viewers) I guess this is the case for many survival show and I personally like different type of contestants (mainly those, who has something “new” they can bring to the table), when it comes to creating a group, but that is obviously just my personal thing… The only “big problem” I have is that they chose Sarang (the second rapper) to be a rapper rather than choosing a contestant, who was into rap on her own. Small spoiler to the show: In the very last episode they told Sarang to have a rap part, despite her being into dancing and singing only the whole time, she managed to be “good enough”, so they decided to make her the “assigned rapper”. Which is the thing I wanted to say with all of this. If The Black Label was actually involved in the creation of this group at least a bit, the line up would have been different (in my eyes most likely stronger, rather than just “fans’ favorite ones)

>>156564161

This exactly how I feel!!! I was torn but had to support Jeemin and then I ended up loving all of the girls!! Enhypen is my ult too!!

Renee Alvarado
>>156564161

you have amazing music taste!! Glad I could share this experience with someone else too! 🥹

Neeko

I would definitely love to watch I-Land 2 along with you if you do decide to do it!
