not me casually went to 38:50💀

Every idols reaction to GD and especially Bang Bang Bang was the highlight for me. The meovv girls with their lightsticks were so cute. The whole thing made me so nostalgic I almost cried. Big shoutout to Gyuvin and Gunwook basically having their own fancam freaking out and Matthew being scared they'd damage the floor around them from jumping so hard. That's the energy Bang Bang Bang deserves

and just like when I watched the reaction of the idols, I find myself focusing on the performance and missing the reactions of PD😭 I'll watch the whole thing now🤣

Alison Renaud

I cant believe I woke up at 2am to watch this live! Something made me wake up and I wasn't able to go back to sleep so I just put mama on. Thankfully my friend was awake watching it with me who knows nothing about kpop got to see me loose my mind! I'm so glad he was awake so I could freak the fuck out!! I had NO clue they were gonna do this! I just wanted to watch GD perform and see the winners. But then Taeyang showed up I was like oh that's amazing....then FREAKING DAESUNG SHOWED UP MY BIAS AND I LOST IT! The song is beautiful! Then they went below stage and I was like nah they won't come back.... THEN THEY CAME BACK AND I LOST IT AGAIN! The yellow ocean got me so emo I actually cried. I cant believe they did this in 2024! I remember hearing these songs on the radio at the store I worked in back in like 2012-13 here in Massachusetts that's how big they were. I'm never getting over this no matter how many times I watch it. Also LOVED watching all the idols just have so much fun with them and react the same way we do. Its amazing to think about how half of them are on that stage cause of Big Bang inspiring them to be idols! Big Bang will always be one of the most nostalgic groups ever. I hope this means they will be releasing more for us next year cause IM FREAKING HERE FOR IT! Also one of the best concerts I've ever attended was Alive tour in 2012!

Vintage.Belle

So the Big Bang performance is the only one that Mnet released idol reactions to! I love Seventeen's reaction! It's so so fun! Hoshi and Woozi are just so excited! It's adorable!

Sascha

Yes this was single-handedly the greatest moment in K-Pop of this current and probably the past decade too. Everyone who watched this immediately felt the gravity and history they were witnessing while watching even if you're a new fan and not familiar with Bigbang. Just incredible. Also watching your channel analyse and react to K-Pop throughout the years this felt really special watching you react to this stage.

Sascha

there are multiple behind the scenes videos on GD's YouTube channel where they show the process of planning all of this, it's really wholesome and fun if you're interested to check it out. Taeyang and GD also were on Daesung's YouTube show Zip Daesung were they reminisced a lot of their old times and talked about Bigbang going forward too.

Artemis Delphinia

The main reason Giselle is wearing sunglasses for the MAMA's was because she had an allergic reaction to something that affected her eyes. She wore them while accepting awards with the group and sitting as an audience member. During the MMA's she was also still feeling sick the reaction, but still performed with the rest of the girls flawlessly.

A36

the bigbang revival was so needed lol it’s been a tough year for kpop

Sascha

As a MY/fan of aespa since debut teasers came out, seeing their entire journey leading up to this stage made me really emotional. Hearing the entire MAMA crowd basically scream Supernova on top of their lungs and aespa just having fun murdering this stage with a smirk on their faces was amazing. On top of that they basically swept MAMA and MMA winning awards left and right, it's just beautiful to witness as a fan. Btw Giselle had an allergic reaction the day prior to this performance so she missed the award ceremony on the first day but performed with these glasses on the next day, that's the reason she kept them on for almost the entire performance.

Aya

I HAD THE EXACT SAME REACTION AT NINGNING’S FANCY

Kim Chaewon

Ive rewatched the gd performance so many times it was actually insane!

Taylor

the bigbang performance was so amazing I get goosebumps every time I watch it, you should totally watch the two episodes of zip daesung with all of them, they're really good!

Mason Toq

being a nevie and waking up to find out soyeon mentioned soojin after 3 years IN A MAMA RAP WAS CRAZY 😭

Jae

in meovv your favourite is gawon (her voice is crazyy), and the 'fierce' girl in the dance break is sooin i was soo drawn to ella in this performance and this comeback in general! her expressions and presence are insanee def recommend the performance vid and studio choom for body - both have elements the other misses (the lighting and atmosphere on performance vid + editing on studio choom esp for the dance break) but both are incredible and really got me into meovv😵‍💫 these girlies are crazyy

Mason Toq
>>157878750

YES!!!! she says "in 2021, you said this right? 'what will you do without soojinnie?'" and with the soojin line the track cuts out.... SUCHHHH an f you to the people who didn't believe in them and publically supporting her close friend 🥹 she rly said "you took soojin from us and we STILL made it big" and shes right!

yuta

When Taeyang and daesung appeared and all you hear is the crowd screaming i got literal chills

Pallavi Bhattacharya

I enjoyed the aespa MAMA performance but they completely killed it on MMA with Supernova+Whiplash+ Armageddon. It was crazy. I honestly loved the MMA performances for many of the artists and I think you might enjoy as well. Would it be possible for you to react to MMA as well?

camila

aespa's performance had me absolutely GAGGED. i was literally speechless. watching mama live was sickening i was up at 5 am partying and crying in my room. also seeing bigbang actually do bang bang bang and fantastic baby as well was CRAZY because we didn't get anything saying it was coming up we just thought they were chanting bigbang because they're a big artist and they were gonna end it there. THEN WE HEARD THE SONG COME IN!!! the live chat was going insane i was going insane like i was SWEATING!!! honestly cause we had no idea i think it added to the shock of it all. i cried at the end of it. this years MAMA was incredible and adds on to the iconic years of MAMA. i loved your reaction i related to you so much watching it.

maya k

pd!! you should check out svt’s artist of the year speech on your own, it was so wonderful

Iz_good29

Just imagine it took 10 YEARS FOR MAMA..a now dull bland award show to become one of the best award show this year just because of BIGBANG..THE LAST PEAK MAMA WAS IN 2014..10 FREAKING YEARS AND IT'S TOTALLY WORTH IT I ALMOST TEARED UP CUZ I DIDN'T WATCH ANY OF THESE MANA LINEUPS

April Awanan

I subscribed because I need to watch your reaction. I've been waiting you will post on YT, but I can't wait anymore lol

sc

loved your reaction so much pd! just wondering but would you be checking out the awards acceptance speech for MAMA 2024 album of the year, song of the year and artist of the year?

April Awanan

By the way, GD mentioned in the behind-the-scenes preparation for MAMA that 'Home Sweet Home' is a Bigbang song.

BaoziBang (Tali)

Have you heard about the Got7 Comeback yet?!

izzy

this mama was really special

izzy

btw BYEON WOOSEOK was playing an idol in Lovely Runner and in the drama he is performing this song infront of his fans and now he did it in real life

izzy

sooo many artists and besides JY park himself, not a single jype artist performing

WiseSmellyLegs

There are behind the scenes/preparation videos for this stage, where they had a discussion about joining him for this stage and G-Dragon said it out loud Home Sweet Home was originally meant to be a BIGBANG song. Then... In the episode of Zip DaeSung I sent you because of TaeYang mentioning SEVENTEEEN as the group he noticed really early on and knew they would make it big, they (BIGBANG) pretty much said/hinted there would be a BIGBANG comeback. They talked about their favorite BIGBANG songs. G-Dragon said Still Life, DaeSung said Last Dance and TaeYang said: "I wanted to say Still Life as well, but my answer is THE NEXT ONE" and that was not meant to be Home Sweet Home, because that had been recorded already for sure and G-Dragon also said: "I guess, I should start to work on that..." Plus in general they talked there about staying as they are not becoming even smaller group, so I would say all of this is one big build-up for their 20th anniversary in 2026. Which reminds me to mention a thing about T.O.P! Besides the obvious color choice G-Dragon made for the clothes he wore for the stage (pink being favorite color of T.O.P plus it looking similar to T.O.P's iconic drip from MAMA 2012) and leaving the Bang Bang Bang echo in the whole stadium without interrupting it with their voices/covering it on their own, I think G-Dragon made one big reference to T.O.P in Home Sweet Home too! I mean, this whole comeback and both Power and Home Sweet Home are full of references to the past times, his and their career. But besides all of this... G-Dragon shared on his instastory a picture of a moon (T.O.P's location in Still Life) with Home Sweet Home set for the part of: "We alike dead or alive, your life? Still life. It's so nice, I missed you a lot. You're welcome back home, wherever you are." Although I do not remember if this whole part was in the story, but regardless it seems to be a reference to T.O.P, but definitely the: "You're welcome back home, wherever you are" was in the story, which can't be more obvious, I would say... They are giving T.O.P time to think about whether he wants to come back with them with the full-on BIGBANG comeback. Which... I fully understand his decision of not wanting to be connected with anything K-Pop related after the weed scandal and him being cancelled, which led to him trying to overdose himself, but... I have hard time believing he does not miss these times with them at all... Plus... sure the music will be phenomal even if G-Dragon is the only rapper there (or if they make huge throwback to YG Family times before BIGBANG debuted in which TaeYang (back then TaekWon) used to rap as well, that would be nice too), but G-Dragon and T.O.P and their "opposite voices"/rap tones are the blueprint for pretty much EVERY K-Pop group until now. It is not just about rapping. I have hard time imagining a BIGBANG song without TaeYang and DaeSung singing there... like these four members have always been what made BIGBANG BIGBANG... For the end just a small thing regarding Seo Taiji and Boys. Technically by Wikipedia etc, they are considered K-Pop, but they formed themselves on their own, they did not go through any training system and in general the concept of labels and whole K-Pop realm started after they disbanded. I view them as someone, who changed the Korean music scene top to bottom and served as an inspiration for K-Pop to be created later on, but I would not call them K-Pop, just because they were a popular act of Korea... Plus obviously someone/something influencing something else to happen/to be created, does not mean it became the thing as well (both in music and pretty much anything).

Bella

i cried so hard when BIGBANG performed, like thats my boys!! theres some great behind the scenes video for the performance you should check them out :)

A36

idk if im remembering wrong but i don’t think aespa were the final performers? i thought seventeen closed mama? im not sure why theyre last on the playlist but they ate either way lol

alyce

ningning is the MAKNAE💜

WiseSmellyLegs

12:10 - The MEOVV member you like is Gawon and the second one is Narin The third one you noticed because of the dance break is their main dancer Sooin, I personally like her a lot, because... well... there are MAMA reaction videos of idols watching and enjoying the BIGBANG stage and she was hyped the most of them and my mind went: "Hell yeah, girl! I feel you!!" The rest of members are Ella (she is mixed, she is easy to remember) and then a Japanese member Anna. This performance really sold MEOVV to me. I started to like them because of Toxic and Body, but when it comes to Meow, it is a similar case to Batter Up by Baemon, I just don't listen to that song from my own will. But this performance slightly chaged the perspective to that + I finally do not see Narin being cocky with her attitude, but truly bad-ass!

Miranda

Not only MAMA do a hard reset only for Bigbang, they also post 4K videos of other idols reacting to BIGBANG stages only for them!

Allo

ningning: “fancyyy” every member of the audience: completely utterly gagged till the end of time

Allo

i reckon the only thing i would say about aespa’s supernova performance here was there was a missed opportunity to change every light to red for the dance break like in the MV.. i was sooo expecting something like that and was ready to drop to my knees in awe. but they ate regardless 😌

Miranda

Are you going to watch the mama/home sweet home behind episodes on GD’s channel? Or Zip daesung Bigbang episodes? The behind is legit, same director as the Kwon jiyong movie director

Miranda

Omg I love Good man and Cafe. Cafe is my favorite!

Ivy Jaggers
>>157903664

This song became a huge hit and was covered by Lee Seung Gi and Yonghwa from CNBlue. A lot of other people like Hong Gi and Kim Tae Rae covered it. It was a popular ost and the drama is so good!

Liv

The good part about GDs performance is that it was too hype for me to cry but it was close 😂 you can’t not bop to bang bang bang

Lavine Lee

im curious why pd didnt react to g idle last comeback, no listening party for gidle "2" album and also no listening party for yuqi's album, has pd mentioned why in other posts, or pd just didnt like any of them cuz i know if pd really dont like a song, they will not upload the reaction.

HanaCARAT💎

PDs gotta watch my lively runner kdrama starring byeon wooseok. That was an epic drama.

WiseSmellyLegs

Giselle was not feeling good that day and the day before, so she wore glasses all the time (even for the acceptance moments), to prevent her getting even bigger headache from all those lights there

Form of Therapy
>>157955554

Was the last comeback Klaxon? I just did not like Klaxon. It's not for me. If there was anything after then I just missed it!

Form of Therapy
>>157941179

Good Man is one my most pivotal moments in listening to BIGBANG music. I constantly suggested this to people. Went soooo under heard and I was adamant about TOP writing more songs for BB after that. And Cafe is also SOOOO underrated T_T

Miranda
>>157941179

Cafe is like really popular among fans but a good man is super underated. Also I really love all the intros in their albums, still alive and standup

Taylor

bigbangs stage was amazing! you should watch the two episodes of zip daesung with all of them, it's just so nice to see them together

Miranda

You know, recently after watching MAMA, Zip daesung, Youquiz and the Behind on GD’s channel, I talked to my other vip friend and be like, am I allowed to be this happy? It feels so surreal

Jewi
>>157920736

yeah I think so too, aespa was the next performer after GD/bigbang. I didn't watch MAMA live, but i saw it on their reaction video.

Lavine Lee
>>157955554

It’s cool tho, but u also missed the super lady full length album and yuqi’s solo album, these were before klaxon, just a reminder if u missed it, no pressure, I’m okay even if u don’t check it out

Jesse

This…was such a pleasure watching. I liked hearing you open up about your past listening to big bang. I also got into kpop around the fantastic baby era and it was kinda cathartic watching this performance of them after all the years off and the controversies. Truly trailblazers in the music industry scene

Anastasia Symeonidou

Like others said, I loved watching your reaction to GD and BB and I loved hearing all your thoughts about them. I also don't have rl friends who like BB so I was very happy to watch someone who shared the same happiness and excitement as me about their comeback and performance :D I got into kpop because of girl groups, but at heart I'm not a pop music listener, I'm mostly a metal fan. What draws me in kpop is the visuals and choreography more than the music, and I was so pleasantly surprised when I discovered Big Bang around 2012. They were the first group I liked because of their music as well (like, a lot) and since then there have only been like 2-3 more groups that I like their music like that. They're just SO so so good. Sidenote: since 2ne1 are also back, I will DIE if I see GD and CL on stage together again.

Anastasia Symeonidou
>>157920736

For some reason I thought it was SVT>BB>Aespa (that's how it was on the playlist I found and I know that Aespa was right after Big Bang because they're embarrassed in the reaction clips lol). But I checked and you're right, it was GD/BB>Aespa>Seventeen! It makes more sense too, they got 2 Daesangs.

CadenceLo
>>157955554

PD did react to Wife, Super Lady and Revenge ! It is part of a video called « First look » I think, episode 2. If you search for « gidle super lady » I think you might be able to find it ?

Lavine Lee
>>157955554

Ya ive already watched that reaction and waiting for the album listening until now

Anastasia Symeonidou
>>158264356

Block B mainly, I'd say, so happy they're active again! I think Zico is an incredible musician. Then BTS up until around Mic Drop (I still think their music is great, it's just not my thing anymore). Lastly, Stray Kids, although lately they're also straying off (pun not intended) from the noise-EDM sound I love so much. IDK if I'm using the genres correctly, I hope what I mean is clear at least.

Estefanía Betanzos

don't you like G-IDLE anymore? I can see there's not much material of them

Vivian

Could you react to GD and Tae's Paris (Gala des Pièces Jaunes 2025) performance please? if you thought MAMA was a blast you haven't seen paris yet. They went all out on that one!
