Please react to the 5th gen makenz collab on KBS

Sandy Cai

Really bad program directing yes. Ruins the moment 100% of the time to be honest. Yes, couldn't really appreciate the performance. Yes really confusing

camreee

Actually, Ateez performed 3 more songs, guerilla bouncy and empty box, but kbs only broadcast them as fancam, no other group was treated like this, it's very annoying.

MioneTwin (my-oh-nee Twin)

Actually TXT perform 6 songs. The other song is HEAVEN. KBS upload it under "Choreography cam" on KBS Kpop youtube channel. They really make this festival as their own concert. 😊I'm happy to hear the fanchant so loud especially during I'll See You There Tomorrow performance FYI, they actually did their sold out concert at the same venue in September and this KBS Music Bank Global was held like 2weeks after their encore concert in Japan

Pooge

if i’m remembering correctly, this was TXT’s last performance before a long break so i like to think they did thursdays child to end on a super high note!

Ellwoodzz

Newjeans reaction finally lets goo!!! Missed your reaction of them so much :D Also yeah newjeans is huge in japan, the golden disc awards + festival have been like their own concert in terms of a ocean of binky bong light sticks in the crowd.

Ericaboo12p

TXT did so well ! Yeonjun's live vocals were fantastic.

Marii

as other people mentioned, they left out a lot of songs from other artists, some of them you can’t even find anywhere. also during the ment time, you can also tell that they put in some crowd sounds as well, so i can only assume it was like that during performances too. idk what’s up w all that 😂

No, this is right one , what I mean is that Ateez performed 3 songs as an extra for this video at this festival, but the kbs channel did not share these performances, maybe it didn't even shoot them, the 3 performances were only broadcast as fancam, not originally.

They had a few performances since this one (GDA being the last one) but they do seem to have been choosing some fun upbeat songs to end on. I hope they enjoy their break 💗

Sven Lenders

To me it is crazy that Ricky hits the high note in En Garde, I thought that guy auditioned to be a rapper

lin

txt's vocals never disappoint 🔥 it's so easy to get infected by their energy on stage especially during thursday's child and i'll see you there tomorrow!!! so fun

Sven Lenders

PD, this is one of the last times you will see Hyunjin like that

Sven Lenders

I swear i thought the girl with the "kiss me" sign at Stray Kids' Walkin on Water was Sullyoon

Nat
>>160565705

I think the same happened with Newjeans they didn’t air all of the songs they performed and released them as fancams

Wiktor

ITZY just felt on a different level. I can’t pin point it. But these stages felt like… ITZY is about to climb to the top of this PEAK of ITZY. They’re so close. Seeing these stages… they’re ready to have their BIG moment again. I have a feeling

camreee
>>160565705

Yes, I saw some comments, not all the performances were shared in other artists, I thought it was just for ateez, this is very bad. I wish they would show the same care to all artists.

Tema

The camerawork is even more confusing when you learn it wasn’t streamed live so they didn’t need to add weird audience shots to the uploads 🙃 My main problem with this show is that because they had two days of filming, they cut some of the performances for the stream to condense it into one show which honestly made the live awkward to watch with all the cuts. To me it would have just made more sense to have the Japan festivals just be their own show Besides that I think TXT did an amazing job closing out night 1. In my opinion, they turned it into their own concert and it made an exciting end of year performance ☺️ I love that they chose to end with really high energy and fun songs Also I love seeing Yeonjun getting to perform GGUM! So proud of him!

Yeva

omg la sserafims performance, especially the remixes, left me absolutely speechless too!! it was so fun to get so surprised!

Marta

And another round of timestamps if anyone is looking for something particular: 0:00:13 - RIIZE 0:09:22 - ZB1 0:21:42 - NEWJEANS 0:33:51 - TEN, XIAOJUN, YANGYANG, SHOTARO, SOHEE, EUNSEOK (Tempo cover) 0:36:26 - JONGHO & SIEUN (When It Snows cover) 0:39:46 - SUNG HANBIN & XHANJUN & SHINYU (Perfume cover) 0:42:37 - LE SSERAFIM 0:49:06 - NMIXX 0:55:02 - ITZY 1:09:58 - ATEEZ 1:18:03 - TXT 1:36:08 - STRAY KIDS

i think having TXT and then Stray Kids closing the show was such an amazing back to back experience!! First soft, pretty, smooth, and fun stage, and then aggressive and electronic one that blew up the stage. very contrasting and both so freaking good!!

Upshot

As others already said for different artists (TXT, ATEEZ etc), NewJeans has some more songs too that KBS for some reason only uploaded as a fancam (Cookie+Ditto)

izzy

it's crazy how many STAYs were attending

BlueLightKitten_

PD, I wonder if you might be interested in checking out the debut of XLOV, "I'mma Be." It's a four-member group consisting of three former Boys Planet contestants: Wumuti, Kuan Jui, and Haru. Wumuti contributed to the lyrics of the song and the concept is very gender-neutral, fluid, and unique!

Melissa O

Did he ever react to Music Bank Madrid? Because… Heeseung

Candice Blair

KBS cut stuff because Lia also cried as well after performing Imaginary Friends. Itzy stage was real emotionally.

pr37

I did not know camera work could be this badddddddddddddd but still very enjoyable to watch with you :)

I don't think I've ever gone through so much frustration while watching stages before liiiike I dont need to see the audience every 2 seconds

Tobi

LE SSERAFIM absolutely slaying these festivals once again. Super excited for the other stages

Tobi

this ITZY set list is so PEAK (+Wannabe & sugar-holic)

Tobi

i lowkey dig the audience shots... i am more annoyed by the super far zoomed out shots during key points

Mel Foster

Hi, so some songs weren't put into the broadcast. This is probably due to it being on two days and having to condense it into one broadcast. They also cut any Japanese songs that were performed in the venue.

jessie

Nmixx feels like a group built for these end of year stages, I wish they got more stage production and dance break cool shit going on, but they were so amazing still I was so excited they got a stage this year

jessie

Omg every fan they cut to during itzy bawling their eyes was me too😭😭 they are so special Why did they cut to wides so often though you couldn’t even see the girls at all 😩

Marii

“would’ve loved to see more songs from le sserafim” isn’t it crazy that they literally performed 6 songs there 😭 yet only uploaded 2 😭

jessie

The cuts to the audience made me burst out laughing many times, and it was touching to see my own emotions reflected on their faces. But it was far too frequent, especially on top of the useless wide shots where the artist is smaller than ants. Although I got something out of the audience shots, every time I wonder what amazing view I’m missing of the artist

Allo

hey does anyone know if any of the cut stages are anywhere online? even if not official cams? from what i can see on here most of the fans didnt record anything so i assume that filming was not allowed during kbs :(

mini !
>>160645780

omg SIX I thought it was only Unforgiven and Jewelry that got cut, I had no idea there were more :(

Marii
>>160645780

Unforgiven, Jewelry, Star Signs, & Eve, Psyche & The Bluebeard's wife 🥲🥲

Marii
>>160645780

trust me PD, they did this to a lot of groups, but to cut 4/6 is crazy 😭😭

WiseSmellyLegs

It was interesting TWS performed Seo Taiji and Boys’ Last Festival, because TWS’ Last Festival is their reinterpretation/remake of the same song

Melissa O
>>160617240

This is a fancam. The twitter link I added is the actual KBS performance video. They must have screen recorded it live. In my opinion way better than the fan cams because you can hear him, but that’s just my opinion. I don’t know why they never posted the recordings. If because it was a rescheduled even or what.

Diana

There were some moments where I appreciated the switch, like during TWS's Last Festival, they cut to a guy in the audience belting the same ad-lib I was, so that was nice. Made me feel like I was there. I enjoyed watching people's reactions to parts I was excited about. But I agree that in some moment, it was just jarring, and I wanted to see more of the actual stage. Overall it was an epic show, I actually liked it far more than the Gayo. Add Enhypen to this lineup and it would've been *chef's kiss* perfection. But as you said, can't get the best of both worlds xD

veryferal

Watching this with you for the first time and that nmixx stage kinda of surprised me (and didn't surprise me all at the same time). Those girls have got "it" - whatever it is. I hope have a long career ahead of them because they've got everything you need for a successful group; I think it all hangs on the music, which has always been great IMO but isn't necessarily always to everyone's tastes. I say this as a pretty low key nmixx fan but seeing this just really reinforces that they deserve acclaim.

alyssa

tubatu is very loved in japan! they often have long sets when they go there (:

Brennan

Stray Kids really made KBC Music Bank their concert with the amount of STAYS and singing "Stray KIds"
