This is a continuation of live stage reactions; I accidentally hit stop on the recording. I recommend checking out the M COUNTDOWN + Music Core reaction first!

100% agree that this song is just amazing! I love that you have now compared 2 of the BND members to members of Bigbang! 🤣 Now you have to watch their variety show with Daesung it's amazing! Although sad that Jaehyun, the Bigbang STAN, had to miss out

I agree that Taesan has a rawness when he does live performances that is not trained, is just there, was also how he caught my eyes when I saw their first live performance. Love the song.

Well KOZ producers team including ZICO produced YENA-NEMONEMO so that's why you can hear some of the influences here too!

I think Taesan’s assertiveness about how he wants to be portrayed and how comfortable he is with himself is shown in every stage he’s in. I think that’s also why he’s so free in stage, the same with most of boynextdoor but greatly on taesan. They have that confidence so they are more free on stage now

They don't have set positions if I'm not wrong so they often change up their vocal/rap distribution to give us "unexpected" combinations and I think that's something that really sets them apart and give them more variety These guys are just so talented and I don't know, I saw someone say that bonedo's music is kitsch in the best way possible and I totally see it, especially knowing of the guys' musical inspirations

You finally mentioned GD!!! This is how I felt after watching about 10 stages Taesan performed in 2023. It's even more obvious in his "Violin" stage in 2024 fan meeting. He does have a special character and pronunciation when performing. This is why I look forward to his solo album the most and believe Boynextdoor will be huge in the future. I really hope he can release his self-composed songs soon. My favorite: https://on.soundcloud.com/B6eJmT2KR4mEnffT9

Boynextdoor is highly influenced and inspired by Bigbang I guess because Bigbang's stage presence and styles are their dream and "ideal type" and they monitored/learnt a lot from them when they were trainees. That's why we can feel their spirits like freedom and passion through their live performance. I think this is also why people often compliment them as a "2nd-gen Kpop group." I wish PD will react to that Zip Daesung episode next month.

Yea I'd have to agree, they really are going to be something fresh and different as the years go on and 5th gen groups gain more attention bcz BND definitely deserve it.

It would be nice if you also dive into their radio live performances because the vocals is just really insane Recently they performed I LOVE YOU on SBS Radio https://youtu.be/_yax1hQbWM0?si=1QxUhdtpFmfVaB6L *pls do note that they change the japanese lyric to "I want you" bcs of sbs censorship

its so wild PD! when i saw the mv and listened to the song for the first time, i was like "ah its not quite for me, but i still love the boys" and then i watched these stages and now i absolutely love this song LOL!!!! similar thing only ever happened to me with bts, when the style/genre of the music wasn't my cup of tea, but the artists, their energy and their insane performance literally forced me to like it (in the best way possible ofc hehe)

steet

I'm not even a boynextdoor fan but I loooooveee watching their live stages bc they just bring so much energy and fun and I love love love that they're always singing live :D
