for context, i think the roughest part about Jeemin not debuting on RUNEXT with Illit and why it keeps getting brought up is that she was Rank 1 in Hybe going into the show and did well there so it was a huge upset. Her, Yunah and Minju were very close and rank 1/2/3 respectively. They had a performance together that went quite viral. It's pretty common for contestants to have been on other survival shows but i think Jeemin with Illit keeps getting mentioned because she was a big favourite to not only debut but win and also because its Illit. If you remember in ep1 when Monika said she had the talent but was just unlucky, that's what she was referring to.

Something to look out for, there have been a couple of articles that say that Yui, Juwon, Um Jiwon and Chaeeun will be debuting as a 4 member group under H1GHR Music (Jay Parks company) sometime soon, though it's not been officially announced. As a big fan of Juwon and Yui on the show it's exciting, and I'm especially interested to see how much Chaeeun has improved over the last year.

i actually think lingling was SO much better than jungeun in this performance and, if it was solely based off of that performance, i would have picked her to go on to part 2. however, it's undeniable that jungeun has been more impactful and stable throughout the show so, realistically, she deserves part 2 more than lingling. also! great news from the past week, lingling is debuting at the end of may in lean branding's new 6 member girl group! so def looking forward to that and the H1GHR music girl group newy which features juwon, chaeeun, um jiwon and yui (also debuting sometime in 2025 but rumoured to be having their first performance in May at Kcon Japan!!).

I agree picking jungeun, but I will say In this performance and the previous ‘rain on me’ one I found lingling’s parts so memorable I genuinely kept thinking about it for long afterwards, she delivered her emotions so deliciously I truly believed it. She didn’t waste a second of her solo parts she fully embodied it using her whole body and face so you’re never ‘waiting’ for the impact. So satisfying to see jiyoon’s first performance back in iland and showing her growth. Although fuko was incredible yui just kept giving more and more each stage, and they didn’t even show any feedback for her…😢

These I-Land 2 reactions make me think PD would like Monica to debut in izna... 😅😅 Also, I think LeeJung is actually 리정 1:57:00 - Oh, right... when I said there are just 4 contestants, who have never been in Ground, I did not count this, because they were not in Ground per se, they were just put on hold, but technically they are labeled here as Grounders... I guess I can say it out loud now. Those 3 members are Choi Jungeun, Jeon Saebi, Mai and I counted Koko as well.

Interesting! Hmm… but I feel like she mentioned somewhere her surname is in the old (North Korean) form, therefore 리. Maybe I am wrong or it used to be 리, but she changed it to 이 and just kept the stage name the old way to make it different and also to make it easy for people, who already know her by that form
