Update (Patreon)

Hello everyone,

I’m writing this still from the hospital as I have been admitted for several days.

I’m sure this situation is currently frustrating for some, as it is greatly for me, but I didn’t want to publish another update until I had major information.

I’ve been admitted for several days now, to a maddeningly long period, but all this time they’ve been studying and testing me as my “pneumonia wasn’t normal”. Pneumonia usually only affects one lung, for me both my lungs are infected.

Today I’ve received an official diagnosis and it only took so long because the condition is so rare, but I have what’s called Lemierre’s Syndrome.

So basically, along my left jugular it has this bacteria. It’s been letting blood flow through just fine, but it’s been corrupting every bit of my blood with this bacteria sending it straight towards my lungs and my heart and building up.

It’s a life threatening condition but my doctor seems positive about the path going forward. It will apparently be another 2 - 3 days of being admitted in the hospital so they can devise a treatment plan to finally send me home.

I must admit, this is has been emotionally and physically so exhausting and taxing. All I do is lie in bed all day and surprise! That’s not all that fun :l I use watching movies to make the time go fast, and I use listening to music to comfort my soul.

I’m a bit of a mess atm but I wanted to deliver this prompt update to you all. I’ll be doing my best to beat this, but I hope you all take care of yourselves as well.
