oh boy, i really thought about giving you a trigger warning before this episode.

chim

they really did a good job in picking the child actors for this episode -- i was bawling when they started crying,

chim

PD ive watched almost all your reactions -- even the ones that are not here anymore and this is the first time ive seen you cry so much in an episode, and i cant say i didnt see it coming. this was so heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time

Yeah this is one of the episodes I was not looking forward to rewatching, idek if I can yet I feel like I’ll be sad for the next week, all I can say is that it was done incredibly well, and would make any person cry—and any time they touch on this in future episodes it’s always a knife right to the heart; there was also part of me as a viewer that kept thinking would they tell a story like this? Would they actually go through with this incredibly dark moment? Hoping they would have a movie moment or it’d be a brush with death that would still be traumatizing — but that’s not this show, this story is capture of life in all aspects no matter how real it gets

Form of Therapy

It was brutal but not for “drama’s sake” as you said this show is just about life and OOF sometimes this absolute moment of despair happens

A36

sending everyone a big hug, this episode is always so haunting

Form of Therapy

Group therapy is what we need “so how did ep 6 of tangerines hurt you”

I'm rewatching this, so as soon as the episode started, i knew what was coming. But I started crying when everyone in the village started looking for the kid, the sense of community was heartwarming, but knowing what was coming made it all the more heartbreaking for some reason. On a lighter topic, i have massive respect for the the actor that plays geum-myeong's bf/ex-bf character. We have seen him before in Imitation where he played the cool-guy role, on this show his character is a bit more cutesy, and then on another show (which i'm hoping you will watch, i voted for it in the poll) his character is the complete opposite. He gave me whiplash.

Form of Therapy

One look give em whiplash Also do you mean WEAK HERO CLASS CUS HELL YEAH

Form of Therapy

Thus far he's giving me "i love to hate him" vibes on Weak Hero Class. His range is CRAZY

Aw damn here we go, this episode will always crush me. So gut-wrenching to watch Aesun and Gwangshik mourn and then the children blaming themselves..ooh boy. I also loved the throwback scenes, especially with Aesun's mom telling her how life goes on, there's so much foreshadowing in earlier episodes leading up to this. Just last episode we had Aesun's grandma telling her how losing a child is always a pain in someone's heart that you can't overcome while losing a parent is something we learn to live with. I just love the storytelling on this show so much, they really know how to portray live and all its aspects in the perfect way.

Wow! I thought this episode would be easier on a second watch! It still made me cry! 😭 But congratulations on making it through episode 6, PD 😂 Also, grown eun-myeong actually appeared in episode 2. The first scene that showed Moon Sori as older Aesun and IU as grown Geum-myeong. 😊

Lord, I have watched some SAD kdramas but this one clears them all. EVERY EPISODE HAS ME BAWLING. On a side note though, I'm really loving the actor for older Gwansik. I've watched him in Doctor Stranger so many times that seeing his role here be completely opposite is so great to see. I also have to say, that as much as I love seeing IU and Park Bo Gum in this drama, I never want to see them together in this kind of story again. The story itself is so heart breaking but pairing it with THOSE TWO! Double trouble
