Hinari is so cute, she always attends Katseye's events when they're in Japan. Theres a really cute/funny clip of her hugging Megan who's bawling her eyes out while Sophia is just being a goof behind them until she realises Megan's crying lmao. I hate to see Adela go too, she deserved much better. But she is still really close with Megan, Lara and Emily and they hang out together even after Katseye's debut. I'm happy she got to sign with Capitol Records and go solo though

This episode almost made me question why they decided to release this docu because while it was intriguing to the point that a lot of non-fans were watching, the girls are receiving hate on the other end. Everytime I watch this episode I just keep on thinking that this happened a long time ago and the girls made up already.

Hey PD just so you know Adela debuted as a soloist and she released her first EP literally last month, it is really really good so I hope you react to it or at least listen to the songs, I think you'll really like them! She also has MVs for a couple of the songs in her album

I believe I read/heard somewhere that Adela was promised she’s be a vocalist on the show, more so than being a dancer, so the fact that she was eliminated before people ever even heard her voice makes it even sadder. Also, I could be wrong, but I disagree with Mitra that Adela’s low fan voting meant that the fans saw her as a soloist. From how it seems, people were just really cruel, particularly regarding Adela’s appearances. Plus, she’s from a small country and she didn’t really get to shine in the mission. I think maybe things could’ve been different if she’d been in one of the vocal teams, which was in their control. To then go on and say that the fans just see her as a soloist is so wack to me like just say that you wasted her time when you were never really going to put her in the group

ALSO, it frustrates me how everyone seems to be held to different standards. Some people seem to get more passes than others. Some are criticized for seeming like soloists while some who aren’t the best team players continue on. It makes me frustrated as a viewer and for the girls, since none of this is their fault. Genuinely, I love all the girls and this show did not make me dislike any of them, and I wish some people would give them more grace for how they were pitted against each other

Keeping the fact that this was going to be a survival show from the girls always rubbed me the wrong way. I agree with your point that revealing it and then immediately thrusting them into the spotlight was not the way to go and that there should have been some type of grace period for the girls to adjust and mentally come to terms with the fact that the execs aren't going to be the only ones they need to impress in order to get into this group. I think it's important to keep in mind that these girls signed up for training and development, not a survival program. They're two different things which require different expectations and mentality and I fully believe that had some of these girls known that it was going to be a survival show, they would have left or potentially never have signed up in the first place. Karlee also talked about how she had asked, before the reveal, if this was going to be a survival program and they straight up lied to her face and said no which is kinda nuts and would feel like a punch in the gut to know that they are so ok with just lying to you. Adela getting eliminated was heartbreaking. While i never voted while dream academy was airing, clips and content would always show up on my fyp and I just remember people being so mean about her visuals online and I truly believe that's why she didn't get the votes needed to move forward. People are vain and I hate that Adela's hard work was flushed away because she didn't fit other people's beauty standard which is insane cuz she's so gorgeous

This was the point that the show started rubbing me the wrong way a little. It was released after katseye debuted and the way it was all edited, it honestly felt like they were trying to punish Manon and they low-key succeeded because that girl still can't catch a break.

Megan was also in my top contestants at this point - I'm kind of surprised by people saying she didn't stand out. She proved herself proficient in both singing, dancing, and stage presence from episode 2. She didn't have a big storyline, but her talents were certainly showcased enough for viewers to have an opinion on her skillset

goddamn this episode was devastating i really wanted to see so much more from Adela i didnt think i would cry watching this doc and end up so invested in some of these girls that i didnt even know before man... truly think it was unfair for her to go home so soon and seeing how ppl were bring mean to these Young girls im so glad i didnt watch the show when it was coming out bc from this ep i feel like it would have rub me in such a wrong way

what you said about representation is so true like it doesnt surprise me that Samara and Sophia for exemplar got top votes because we brazilians and i know filipinos too are insane about supporting their own people/country lol and as a whole as you said its so common to see americans/white ppl in the media that you want to support when you see ppl from your country that is different from that in these things which is also why i think the us members didnt get a lot of votes either because to me at least It feels like americans dont really care about other americans lmao unlike other nationalities which are less represented

From what I've seen the Slavics are always portrayed in very Soviet colours and themes that are largely not present in most of the countries. Slavic characters mainly exists in action movies, typically as villains, if it's an attractive woman - sex worker, if she's attractive and smart - a spy, men are often the villains, or occasionally, hackers (this comment is not from a slav but from slavic adjacent country (and honestly most of US would consider us slavic anyway))

So basically the way Russians were portrayed in Stranger Things but with the thought in mind that: “We know they are not all Russians, but they might be something close to that” It makes sense, I guess. Like… I can comment on that more and point out which things (and why) are correct or wrong to assume, but I guess anyone could do this if their country is easily associated with another one similar to theirs… Thank you!

You should definitely check what Adéla does. She has an EP and mutliple MVs, her songs lyrics are very raw and sincere. She puts all her soul in what she does, it's amazing to see her artistry

To add to stereotype convo: I, as a Pole, am always mistaken as Russian. That I sound russian, is my country also using cyrillic alphabet, what do I think about Putin etc. Occasionally, that 'my people' go to UK or Germany to work on construction sites or clean toilets 🫥 oh and that we looove to drink vodka or beer and we're probably crazy or always 'friendly' and everything in here is 'cheap' if you're looking from 'western' perspective

I think maybe I’m taking this attitude thing the wrong way because they only ever show us these girls being friendly and nice, so when I hear them bring up attitudes I’m like 🤨. For example they had Missy say in her work experience with Manon she wouldn’t put her in the group then they cut to Manon just having a conversation with 0 bad behavior. They even say earlier in the doc Dani needs to work on her attitude but they only ever show her being a really good dancer who needs to work on facial expressions or being introverted reading a book, listening to music, laying down or she’s just having fun with the girls. So it’s confusing like who are these girls giving attitude to?

Oh and also hybe x geffen i really don’t want to hear about Manon being late or breaking rules or having a bad attitude because you allowed it. So obviously you didn’t care that much. And im one of the people that agree she was doing the wrong thing but they just rewarded her for the behavior and kept her around so idk what all the complaining is for when they had all the power. They set a standard and then made the exception and they’re mad at her for taking the hint. Side note I really dislike that she was just missing rehearsal, I completely understand why she made it into the group and even knowing what I know now I’d still vote for her, and clearly there is so much more to the story that they are leaving out.

its so sad how this doc painted the girls so weirdly. even while I agree with the whole Manon situation that ensues, it doesn't actually help the group formed by this show..at all. katseye gets SO much hate and clearly even from the pre debut fans (who bullied Adela and manyyy others) they took this documentary to create MORE issues. I can't even watch it without a heavy heart </33.. I honestly just despise their company strategies. either putting down Manon or the other girls.. instead of actually taking responsibility.
