This show seriously makes me cry a different kind of tear every episode. I didn’t even know I could get emotional over so many things, both happy and sad, until I watched it. Loving your reviews PD💕

I always tell myself and others that I want to be a better human, and I think watching this show is giving me so many concrete ideas on how to do that, how to show up for my family--especially my daughter and granddaughter, how to be part of a community. I'm taking away so much more than I expected from the show and by listening to your thoughts afterward as I reflect. Thank you!

SAME! Being a better human was always such a personal desire but I feel I’ve struggled not knowing how to. Then this show feels like a gentle guide

Wow, your point on withholding information from your family in a way to protect them is so eye opening but heartbreaking. My mother was hospitalized during covid for almost 2 weeks and even though my siblings and I knew it was bad, she made it out well and recovered almost fully. But it was only a few years after that, that my parents told us it was a lot worse than they let on at the time. It was heartbreaking to think that my parents shouldered that information alone even after dealing with that situation but we recognize it's simply because they wanted to protect us. The storyline being so incredibly well written around the families relationships is what really has me floored for this show since it makes me think and reflect on my own family relationships. Particularly relating to Geum Myeong being away from home as I recently relocated to Scotland for work and I've left all of my family and friends back home, It's an emotional time lmao
