This album is awesome , I can't wait to see your reaction to it. Try to watch the live versions of some of the songs plz. The b sides are so good. There is a unit song which is a ballad. That is probably their best song to me period.

disbandment is likely to be sometime around gunwook's birthday in January :( they're doing the whole media play thing with the same "omg will they or wont they extend???!!1" deal as always but im doubtful just because they have so many yuehua members and all signs point to that company REALLLLLY wanting their guys back. i hope they can extend just a little :(((

Well, here’s my coping 🤣: (Sorry PD, it’s so long) Regardless if they renew or not, I really don’t know what to feel yet, because I obviously want them to stay together but 1) Wakeone is an ass company. 2) Their original companies are no better. It’s highly likely Yuehua wants their members back of course. Though I also know that they are probably still in the long talks & discussions because IMO, temporary groups and times have changed. It’s why Kep1er was able to have 7/9 members extend. IMO, besides IVE (and WOODZ) there’s not a follow up act from the produce groups who have been able to maintain or surpass the relevancy/success they had in their temporary groups. Sure they are still around (Somi, Chungha, AB6IX, Cravity, Eunbi, Yena, etc.) but still, far from their status when they were in their mnet group. IVE is an anomaly not only because of their awesome musical direction (you can say the same for others) and having wonyoung & yujin, but also because of time and luck in my opinion. They really appeared during the time of girl groups supremacy in Korea. Le Sserafim is a special case because SouMu was never the girls’ original company during Produce/Izone. I am obviously happy that many of them found their niche after their temporary groups (acting, new groups, etc.) but IMAGINE if Wanna One actually became a permanent group. Just how big they would be?! I know the whole premise of mnet survival shows is to temporarily promote these members before their og companies redebut them but honestly, it has become such a huge gamble. Most companies of the Kep1er members probably realized this (they are the 5th group from the mnet franchise anyways) and decided that keeping them in Kep1er is the better move financially. They can get their pay shares that way, instead of investing and redebuting them, which costs a lot and might not even pay back well. Like I feel so sad and worried for Mashiro & Yeseo now. If I were these companies, I’d keep both ZB1 and EVNNE as they are. If I was YueHua, maybe I could offer to co-manage with Wakeone, idk. They have beef but who knows. And both are known to be horrible but HEY.. Kep1er is Wakeone-Klap now, and there’s still arguments on how their management is still bad. IDK really. That’s another issue. All in all, I just hope the members get the best end results. Hanbin did say that they are discussing while also considering what the GP and fans want. Kep1er’s Yujin mentioned before that she really fought for better terms during the discussions for extension, so I want to assume that at least for YueHua members, Hao is involved considering he has tons of solo projects. He can very much argue for better terms according to what he wants. ZB1’s bond is so so strong and I’m saying this a someone who has quite literally followed every produce/planet group. I really want to see them more, they are such a STRONG group.

To add: I really don’t trust Yuehua at all to pull off a new career for their members. Everglow was such a huge fumble 😭 Yiren revealed that they did not get paid at all in the whole of six years, which is pretty surprising, because they were on a huge run in their first two years. Just by looking at their spotify streams, you’d think they got paid, but apparently nope!

i know we’re all sad and stressed about the future of this group, but can we all take a moment to look at their mcountdown stage and think… “wtf are half of these outfits?” haha, they’re definitely not bad by kpop live stage standards, but like, why??

it’s insane how many groups just don’t get paid. imagine working your ass off for years, living your life according to super strict rules or expectations, risking your health constantly, and then not even getting a paycheck

I hate to say this: at this point I trust WAKEONE to keep ZB1 then for Yuehua to manage their original members in a new group. I used to have high hopes for Yuehua as a company cus their musical taste was impeccable but the EVERGLOW fumble truly truly has to be studied. Like up till Pirate their musicality and visual style was SO ambitious. As for money… yeah. The problem is that trainee debt. But also idols are ALWAYS accruing more debt. Labels pay for rent, every van ride, every meal, every lesson and practice time—and frankly there’s only one way to make that money back—touring. It’s the same for US artists. Album sales mostly go back to the label to cover costs and it’s through touring and merch investments that idols finally make bank or even make enough to finally pay off their debt. It’s pretty nice to not be paid for six years if everything in your life is provided for you, but that’s also a long time. Personally I think COVID fucking HURT Yuehua cus they couldn’t capitalize on EVERGLOW’s rising popularity and tour esp globally.

I'm so hoping for Jiwoong to be able to continue being an idol after all the crap he had to get through in his previous "groups",before he did acting. He's really good and loves to be on stage.

In my opinion, the most possible option is, they renew the contract but not all of them like Kepler. Yuehua will definitely bring Hao back to china. Hao's solo career is very very successful in china and a money hungry company like Yuehua will definitely bring Hao back and maybe let him pursue an acting career instead of a singing career (sadly we all know how much Hao wants to be a kpop idol) as for Ricky, i'm not sure if Yuehua will bring him back to china because Ricky's solo career in china is also going well but not as successful as Hao's. in my opinion, Yuehua hasn't paid much attention to Ricky since boys planet until now they might let Ricky renew his contract. for Gyuvin and Yujin, I think Yuehua will let them renew their contracts. Although Yuehua's ig account currently has some photos of the trainees posted but I don't think they will let Gyuvin and Yujin join that group. Yuehua might see letting Gyuvin and Yujin renew their contracts with ZB1 as the most profitable option for them. The most likely paths for them to renew their contracts would be for 8 out of 9 (excluding Hao) or 7 out of 9 (excluding Hao and Ricky)

i've only ever 'stanned' a few groups : VICTON, ITZY, X1, ZB1 & AHOF. They will forever hold a special place in my heart. I literally CAN NOT! see ZB1 elsewhere apart from ZB1.. the thought that HAO and HANBIN could potentially NOT be 24/7 in front of my screen for the next 20 years... i cannot FATHOM this timeline.

mannn i wish they could continue being a group... they are arguably the most cohesive group to come out of the produce/planet survival show series and i can't believe 2.5 years is going to end??? i swear it was just yesterday when i was losing my shit praying for gunwook when he wasn't announced for p08 to p06 and losing even more of my marbles when gunwook p05 and ricky p04 happened

Besides breaking up ZB1, I REALLY REALLY DON'T WANT EVNNE TO DISBAND. What did Yuehua do to deserve so many amazing trainees? 😭 Both groups have such perfect chemistry and their own defined identities, it's actually stressing me the fuck out to imagine Evnne broken up.
