BLOCKED on YouTube so once again a Patreon exclusive. What did you think of Jisoo x Zayn's collab?

Hi dont really know where to suggest/ give a heads up, so sorry if this isnt the place, but Sunghoons cover has been released finally! "Odoriko" I really reccomend it 🥹

Horizon

I didn't have high expectations going in, as I thought it would be more of a money grab collab to capitalise on the BP hype, but it surprised me. Jisoo and Zayn's voices actually meshed so well together, making for a really easy listen.

Mikkie

I really like this song but really did not like the video lol

Every time a BLACKPINK member is having a comeback, you can bet it will be a patreon exclusive 😅😅 I guess Teddy really cemented in them to be always something special

WiseSmellyLegs

10:20 - (“Some Google Pixel whatever”) That gave me vibes of: “Tell me you are an iPhone user, without telling you are an iPhone user” 😅😅

I am thinking who else of One Direction and BLACKPINK would be a great match for a collab. Liam Payne & Lisa would have been WILD!! Then I would love to see Harry Styles with Rosé or also Jennie. I am not sure about Niall… in a way I can imagine him somehow being on a song with anyone. Louis would be a fantastic option for a dance track with Jisoo!!

Sascha

I really liked the song, it has a nice and chill rnb vibe and the two of them sound very good together imo. The MV was kinda meh, but I liked your interpretation of the space theme

Form of Therapy

EXACTLY. As I mention in the video, these could be such money grab collabs but BLACKPINK collabs are FIRE

Jungwon's was I believe at the start of the year. "Monster" by Justin Beiber and Shawn Mendes. I think it was before Jay's cover released.

Liv

Loved that it was an actual duet, always prefer more interaction, I think their voices also match up great I think they both do melancholic vibes well; the advertisement took me out, bc of how shoehorned it was but also why would you decide to put it right as we’re getting into the feels of the third chorus, it slows the momentum to halt

Lilac Lavender

THE VOCALS ARE EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED. As a casual Blackpink listener, this the first time im hearing Jisoo singing in a lower register and really showcasing her husky tone and its GORGEOUS IM IN LOVE. She sounds too good.

I liked the song so much that I didn't notice the Google sponsor LOL. I'd love to see them perform this live. Re: the MV A lot of people, including myself (to some extent), thought that they weren't in the same location until they saw the behind-the-scenes photos. My guess is it's because of the lighting? Jisoo looks more brightly lit, even when Zayn's head is on her shoulder. (Also I'm sabotaging this comment to remind you about BADVILLAIN's 'Thriller'.)

I suddenly remembered when Niall suddenly commented in one if Rosé’s IG lives. He was saying Hi (like three times) but Rosé didn’t see it. People in the live kept on telling Rosé but she didn’t see I suppose.

This gives a retro-futuristic vibe, which I absolutely adore. This was shot at the TWA Hotel at the JFK Airport. Many people thought they were green-screened into each other’s scenes but then Jisoo released some photos and vids of the MV shoot, which show them together and candidly interacting. Zayn’s fans said that his daughter is a huge Blackpink fan that’s why he was seen in one of Blackpink’s concert this tour. And they are also surprised since Zayn is a hermit as they claim—he shooting an amV with Jisoo is a huge deal. When he collaborates, he usually records his parts then mail it to the other artist and at times they don’t even meet. But here, Zayn shot an MV. Fans said the only person Zayn met during a collab was Taylor Swift.

I rlly liked this song, and I’ve missed hearing Zayn’a voice! 🥲❤️ Still waiting for your reaction to Momoland’s new comeback!🥹

my past directioner soul taking over as soon as I heard Zayn's voice (꜆꜄°ㅁ°)꜆꜄꜆

i think the song is nice, especially writing. it's cute, simple but also kinda wise and meaningful... as for the music it feels a little overproduced, busy but also bland especially by the last third that was how i was feeling... i like the 1st chorus, the part when they took away everything and left us with mostly just acoustic guitar... i would prefer much stripped production with maybe more retro futuristic sounds if they went with this mv and definitely with way more space for their voices. and i do think that this song deserves way better mv... the concept is fine but the execution imo lacks focus and direction, the song's message is quite simple and so should be the mv... there is too much unnecessary bs for my taste... some scenes feel like they are there just because that what usually is in mvs and they have these stupid fluid cgi in zero gravity as a eye candy i guess?! but we have jisoo and zayn? so why do u need that? especially if it doesn't look that good or interesting... and the fact that there are other people at the end and in many scenese they just walk around... idk a lot of it feels like they just didn't know what to do with it... like i have said with a little more focus and direction and intimacy this could be a great mv.

Loved the song, honestly such a smooth R&B that I could listen to for hourrrssssss. Another KPop and Western collab that I think really worked was Tzuyu and Corbyn Besson's Blink. You should definitely check it out.

I didn't know that it was an all English collab because I try to avoid spoilers so it took me by surprise. Their voices together were beautiful and got to showcase Jisoo's lower register. I didn't notice the android robot until I saw reactions so that and the phone didn't take me out of the video. It does make sense I think in the concept of the video though. They are traveling in space from what I assume is another planet and if the concept is that they've woken up early they wouldn't know what part of space they were in so she would have had to find out what planet they were heading for. It made sense to me that there weren't many intimate scenes between the two of them. They've had bad relationships in the past and they are hesitant to start a new romance which is why in some scenes they are just walking around each other because they are afraid of getting close. Then when they realize that those past experiences don't have to effect this new relationship and that's when we get scenes of them actually touching. Also, Jisoo has a larger fanbase within South Korea than in America so they might have done it that way so they don't offend the Korean fans. If you pay attention to when his arm is around her in one scene he isn't really touching her. As for the part where there are other people there is a fan theory going around that they are supposed to be other artists she is going to work with. That's where there are five ID's at the beginning. Also, fans have said that there were hints in the Earthquake MV that hinted at this collab. Especially the 10:10 timestamp on her phone.

PD, I think you haven't seen Jisoo's "Your love" special video.
