Quite possibly one of my favorite listening parties of all time. Truly an INCREDIBLE force of nature this album is... watch as my soul is taken to another realm as I discover one of my favorite songs of my LIFEEEEE.

It's hard to put a ranking on this album for me. I like Game Face, Phoenix, Podium, and Crush on You a lot. But the rest of the album gets better on each listen. Heck I like Superpower too! It's hard to choose a fav when you listen to them repeatedly.

Shape of Love was my Crush On You... honestly those 3 songs in a row is already unfair lol, and then Shape of Love closed that out and I consider that the end of the album as well so it was just a perfect journey. Also this album proved me right that O.O only didnt work for me because the 2 songs out together was too jarring. I still cant get into debut O.O but both of these versions are playlist. AOTY AND Blue Valentine is definitely SOTY. Full on NSWER now and I cant wait for the US leg of the tour.

I think you are correct about the O.O being 2 seperate songs from the start, being meshed together. They have been performing these 2 songs for 2 years already, for the first time on their MIXX university concert in august 2023. The pew pew pew part of the superhero version is so cute you need to check a concert clip of Kyujin doing it live, like its ADORABLE. Also NMIXX released two more music videos (they call them track video but its pretty much a MV) for Adore U and Reality Hurts, just leting you know in case you want to watch them. Also I have the VOD for their latest MIXXLab fanconcert in Seoul aswell of their 1st official fanmeet (NSWER Vacation), Im not gonna say to much incase you want to check them out but they perform so of their predebut covers there. If you ever want to check out one of their concert just hit me up.

I fully agree - NMIXX has been a force for a while now but this album was the inflection point. The maturity of vocal tones and delivery, the production, the comfort in their concept and how it's evolved over time - they've arrived and the music show dominance reflects that.

CRUSH ON YOU APPRECIATION!!! It's my favorite song too and not enough people are talking about it! I love how dreamy and poppy it is. This album is definitely my album of the year, and I think it kicks Enhypen's Romance Untold out of first place for my favorite full kpop album as of late. I think they really solidified their sound through the Fe3O4 trilogy and put what they learned into this. What makes an NMIXX song an NMIXX song to me now is how their voices are used like another instrument, and the vocal direction and layering and harmonies throughout just blow me away. I think it's the perfect first full album for them and I couldn't be happier with all the success they're getting for this release! I was so excited for your reaction and it didn't disappoint!

I've been looking forward to this listening party ever since the album came out. It's genuinely one of my favourite albums of all time, and I haven't grown tired of it, even though I've been listening to it nearly daily since it dropped. Fe304: Forward turned me into an NSWER, but this album made NMIXX one of my favourite groups of all time. The quality of their music and its consistency are unmatched in my eyes, and they are all such talented artists; having all of them excel in variety shows is just the icing on the cake for me. I sincerely hope this group has a long and successful career, because they all deserve it so much.

I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS! NMIXX is truly in a league of their own. I am so proud of them and their success so far. I know they started off with a lot of criticism and a lot of people doubted them, but they have been proving themselves over and over. These girls only ever get better and I love to see them finally getting their flowers.

I love how they either had the 2 songs that make o.o and mashed them together for their debut or they built out the two songs around the two mixed halves of the original it’s such an interesting concept and this makes me wonder if they’ll do this with other title tracks in the future

So I just randomly decided to listen to this album with out knowing anything about them. I cant even name a member or what company they're in. Immediately loved it! They're like Stray Kids girl group counter part (didnt even know they're in JYP till after).. Phoenix hit me hard. Podium hit even harder. I like very few girl groups Purple Kiss, Dreamcatcher, Ive. I prefer the less pop and darker stuff. I was definitely not expecting this from them, even though I had never listened to them before. Can an album be my album of the year if I literally know NOTHING about the group?! Its def a contender along with Haechans, TXTs Japanese album Starkissed and Onewes Maze album (which I would love your reactions to both of them). These album listening parties are still one of my favorite things to listen to, thank you for another great reaction!

As soon as I heard this album I was waitingggg for you to post your listening party, I was so glad it was scheduled so early in the month! They did amazing for their first album, and they’re really made a mark. Every single song is a BANGER, nothing bores me, nothing gets skipped, the whole album is a 10/10. I’ve been with them since debut and I was one of the few that’s liked O.O on first listen😅 It’s been so fun to see them grow and they genuinely keep getting better with each comeback. I’m really so proud of them and all the success that’s coming with this comeback! I’m already super excited for what they release next

Jiwoo’s Crush On You verse took me back to her verse on My Gosh, back when she almost became my bias just because of those lines. She has such a unique tone that enhances the loveliness of those two songs.

They were not 2 songs originally. They had 2 teams each create half the song. It was always one song, they wanted there to be a mixed element to it. They split the song into 2 parts as a creative way to re-introduce it to and people who originally didn't like the way 0.0 sounded came around once they transformed it into 2 parts.

And I so resonate with your sentiment about NMIXX entering their pro era (honestly, I think they came out of the gate swinging from day one) I became a fan during BREAK era, and it’s the first time I’ve seriously adored a Kpop group. The thing that drew me in most was their professionalism and sincerity. I can’t think of any other artists who could sell me DASH, Run for Roses, BOOM, and Passionfruit in the same EP with that much earnestness and sincerity. They sing and perform straight from the heart, like each song is their spiritual child they poured effort and passion into raising. And from that point on, they just keep getting better. I’m so proud to be their fan, and I’m so, so excited for everything their future holds.

Crush On You is your favorite?? Haha what a nice surprise!! NMIXX has leaned into Latin influences for a while now with O.O, Sonar, their Mexe collab, and even on this album with RICO and PODIUM but I definitely pick Crush On You as my favorite use of that influence, because the way they implement it is so NMIXX in the best possible way And Jiwoo absolutely gets her flowers - she’s incredible in every way. She’s got the voice, the flow, the sauce, everything, and I don’t think this is even the best we’re going to see from her

This was truly an incredible reaction to an incredible album wow… I want to cry at all the Nmixx love here my heart feels really full💙🩵 some of my favourite moments were: “I’ll try not to be hyperbolic…(5 seconds later)…this song (crush on you) is everything to me”🤣 And 55:40 when you were absolutely losing your mind but still had to keep dancing hahahaha I actually love how long they waited to do a full album it feels so right and like the best payoff for all their progress. I’ve been hooked on them since debut and loveddd o.o straight away but always alwayssss dreamt about the “other halves” of each song so this was a dream come true for me lol. I see in the comments that they’ve been performing the full parts live for a while but I’m so glad I never heard it until now because I got so excited for it! I wonder if they will do this for the other songs… If you’ll be doing more bonus I seriously recommend the acapella highlight videos (for all albums!!) and recording behinds 🫶 I started my day with this reaction and I’m gonna have such a great day now😁

Thank you PD, I really enjoyed this listening party!! Definitely bias speaking here since they’re my favorite music artists, but I love this album with all my heart, and it’s so moving to see their music hit you so close and near to your heart! At first, I wanted them to include 2 O.Os in the NMIXX version ( with the English version and the acapella version) because I thought ending with Shape of Love was a more satisfying narrative thread for the album. But now, I love its inclusion. It feels like they’re affirming their identity and their DNA - all the success and hiccups they’ve gone through to reach this point of both commercial and critical success with this album and through the past year. It honestly brings tears to my eyes.

This is easily my kpop AOTY. Maybe not even just kpop, but in general. Until now, I've never been much of an NMIXX fan (I really liked their previous comeback, though), but this is truly a phenomenal album. It's different, it's ambitious, and it sounds like something even Western music critics (aka kpop haters) would rate highly - not that their opinion matters, but still; you get the point. My top 3 songs are PODIUM, SPINNIN' ON IT, and O.O Pt.1 (Baila)

Before watching I'll guess your favorite song: I'm sure it's not Spinnin' On It or Blue Valentine because you would have said that in your initial reactions I'm sure, Reality Hurts is the most loved song generally, so that's possible. My favorite other than Blue Valentine is Phoenix, definitely, and we often have similar taste. But I think if I have to guess I'll say Reality Hurts just because that song is so unique that it could stand out enough to warrant being one of your favorite songs of your life. Nothing matches Blue Valentine to me though

A new NSWER has arrived! So happy and excited to see you falling in love with them. This album and this whole era have been incredible for them. Seeing what their debut was like and now seeing the reception to this album makes me so happy. Literally topping all the music charts for over a week now, winning every music show, breaking records, it was truly NMIXX's year. I still don't think they fully believe it yet. After listening so many times, I think I've settled on ADORE U as my favorite, but the second half gauntlet is crazy. Crush on You and Shape of Love aren't far behind. This whole album is just hard to rank for me. I think what really defines NMIXX's style is just their voices. They just have a range of unique vocal tones that I just love and their directed well.
