K-POP is eating at the GRAMMYs this year (Patreon)

In Grammy Award news, there are THREE K-Pop nominations this year.

HUNTRIX’s GOLDEN and ROSÉ’s APT. are both up for best pop duo/group performance of the year.

Even crazier is that KATSEYE is nominated for best new artist 😱

Both GOLDEN and APT were insanely viral and infectious tracks… I have no idea how the heck they’re going to choose… What would be your pick between the two?

And how good are KATSEYE’s chances are nabbing that best new artist win? 🤔

My ideal situation would be Golden for song written for visual media, APT for pop duo and hopefully katesye for new artist (which is a long shot considering the year other nominees had) , I actually want olivia dean / lola young to win Apt making into roty and soty, golden to soty is actually huge and insane

I would love for Katseye to win. They did have a great year but the competition is very strong. Olivia Dean, Alex Warren, and Sombr are the frontrunner in my opinion. From what I've seen a lot of the public is rooting fro Olivia Dean. If we are talking about impact Katseye has a lot of chance (Lolla, gnarly and gabriella both went viral) but music in general i'm not so sure (I love their music btw but the public are definitely 50/50 on them)

I’m voting for Golden, I just love Ejae’s story, as well as the rest of the members! As for Katseye, I also LOVE them but I’m honestly hoping Olivia Dean wins. But I hope they win in their other category!

Golden means more to me lyrically so i would probbaly want it to win, but noone can deny the virality of APT either. Also, i think katseye has a really good chance of winning cus there past three comebacks have all had a large reception!

if im being honest i don’t really see golden, APT or gabriela winning over defying gravity… i think APT has a good chance at winning record of the year. Grammys love Bruno mars too. I’d say it’s between KATSEYE, Alex warren and Lola young

You could argue for each of these three, that they're only "K-Pop related" but not K-Pop, depending on your exact definition of K-Pop. That doesn't make them bad of course... For me personally Rose's APT is still the most K-Pop out of these three and Katseye the least. In my own "K-Pop Toplists" I don't include Katseye or XG for example and I wouldn't consider Golden for them as well. If I remember correctly Katseye and XG don't even want to be called K-Pop... they're global groups. As for who should win between Golden and APT? Not sure. I like both of them. As a Blackpink fan I would love to choose APT (it was Top 3 SotY 2024 for me), but Golden's success and impact this year was just so insanely monumental. Hard to argue against Golden. Wish all three of these nominations luck and success!

I don't see Katseye as K-Pop only "K-Pop related" and if I remember correctly they also don't want to be called "K-Pop", they're a "Global Group". That doesn't make Katseye bad of course neither is me saying this in any way toxic. Still wish them all the best and of course you can define K-Pop differently for yourself and include them.

Lmao I know it’s a constant debate, but at the end of the day they’re produced by hybe and they promote their releases in Korean music shows…. No other “American pop” artists are doing stages on music bank 😭😭
