fun fact: the song JL and Han were supposed to sing was Rewrite the Stars, they even practiced it before switching to the Little Prince. Based on the song choices, my theory is the PD's wanted to portray this doomed friendship/connection between their two most talented players, because at this point in the program, they and the audience didn't know they could debut together. tbh the pd's cooked because this stage is the most viewed video in Universe League, even viewed more than official team performances. (And I think this helped greatly in Han's global voting) :)

xie yuxin - the guy on rhythm who won the random play dance that you noticed - is from topclass entertainment, which is actually the same agency as jiang fan!! the both of them were actually on boys 2 planet too, but yuxin was eliminated in the massive elim before the shows merged :( their company has a decent number of trainees but no actual groups/active artists. additional fact: kep1er's xiaoting was also originally under topclass entertainment (her contract with them ended in jan 2025). also about who picked the trot song for zenzen + anyul + dongyun + mac: anyul has been on television shows singing for years prior to universe league, including a show called burning trotman when he was 12. so anyul has experience doing trot. that's why the subs kept making references to him being the original trot prince, teaching the others how to do trot, etc lol. it was probably his idea. i STILL go back to that trot stage sometimes haha what a perfect time to get this episode though!! universe league's field day episode is really one of the best hehe. it was so fun!! so many surprises... i still wanna know how doyoon beat everyone at the thigh wrestling...

Actually Changsub meets them even outside the shooting days to check on their practices. Some Groove trainees also shared after the show that Changsub talks to them a lot, and when they have difficulties, they go to him for advice. I don't want to spoil anything for those watching in real time with you so I'll save lots of the Groove behind stories after the show. But yeah Groove really was a family and the trainees really sees Changsub as their father figure.

and thus with this episode, the famous duo "Haneulz" was born JL and Han's duo name is called 하늘즈 by the fandom because of course, 박 [한] + 재이[엘] [그 ‘을’ 소리랑 비슷한 느낌?] = 하늘즈 Also because when theyre together, especially when they sing, you're transported to the sky and see the gates of heaven becuase their voices are too good lol

This episode and specifically the JL & Park Han duet went very viral in SEA countries and Korea picked up the show after this episode! This was a huge turning point for the show and a few trainees. After this episode the Team Rhythm, Groove and Beat fans became MUCH more strategic and aggressive with voting and “vote BLOCKING of certain trainees, to keep their fave team on top”.
