Irena

Thank you SO MUCH I love following along with your shinee journey💗

jiminycricket

Oh we’re gonna dibidibidis (you need to watch a compilation of Minho rapping this) The Shinee world is first song in the reg album and last in the repack.

Irena

it's so fun to revisit their old discography and see how much they've grown and which elements they retained

WiseSmellyLegs

20:00 - Me this whole time thinking: “Does he not remember he found out Love Should Go On is THAT SONG in literally the previous listening party??”

A.R.R

In some of the rap parts (like in Love Should Go On) it’s Key rapping not just Minho but sometimes their tones sound similar lol so it's understandable 😅 Otherwise great reaction! Seeing you go on this journey is so exciting and glad you’re enjoying it!! Those lovely Shinee harmonies and layers throughout this whole album (and their music in general) are such a treat on the ears really makes it feel so good to listen to and it’s only gonna get better with each album!! Y Si Fuera Ella is such an amazing ballad seriously, so beautiful. It’s crazy Jonghyun was only 18 when he sang it like wowooowww. Romantic is still one of the classic fav ballads cause it’s soooo soo nice. Four Seasons is also one of my personal favorites, the melody is just so comforting and nostalgic to me.

Agnès

the fact that you chose Forever or Never as one of your top songs just proves your TASTE,, it's such a forgotten SHINee song but it's one of my absolute faves... So glad you enjoyed the album!!! Their early releases are just pure GOLD!! So excited to see what's coming next!!

Sarah

Yes pleeeeease !!! This is why I fell in love with them since their debut day: the sound was something else. My personal faves are: Romantic, Loves way, Love should go on and the shinee world but it's basically the entire album ahahaha SHINee did their thing, are and left no crumbs 💎

Laura Tillman

Thanks for starting this journey!

Clary

The most shocking thing is that they were soooo young, when they debuted in 2008 Taemin was 14, Minho and key were 16 and Jonghyun and Onew were 18. It’s still mind blowing to me. And this is just the beginning!! Bless whoever in sm decided to put those five boys together to debut because they probably created the best boyband of all time. I really really can’t wait for you to discover the next album, thank you pd as always 🫶🏻

juls

Ive been soo excited for this listening party, thank you PD! I have to say The SHINee World Album is my absolute fav out of their whole discography and I think that’s pretty impressive considering it was their first studio album :) My favorite tracks are Romantic, Love’s Way and Best place! I didn’t discover SHINee until 2018, but man when I first listened to the album, I absolutely fell in love with the r&b nostalgia :’) Alsoo I highly recommend you check out Jonghyun’s live performance of Y Si Fuera Ella. Actually, I don’t remember if you’ve seen during a livestream request, but this one goes down in the history books of shinee performances https://youtu.be/BDb02isPFc0?si=vbgc5ffSc7oCN8DO

EnzioAkira

YES PLEEEEASE!! This performance is simply stunning, it's one of my favorite solo performances by any artist and if you haven't seen it yet PD, I'd highly highly recommend you watch it. And if there's not enough time for a reaction please watch it on your own, it's simply just that great.

Shawol-OT5

Thank you for your reaction. Even though I have only been a SHINee fan since 2020 I have to said that as amazing as they are on their albums, they really shine when they sing live, that’s when they excel and leave us wanting more every single time. I am glad that you looked up “Y si fuera Ella” and discovered that the song is originally a Spanish song. Jonghyun’s lyrics are totally different that Alejandro Sanz version and Alejandro himself complimented Jonghyun’s twice on social media for his performance. Please react to Jonghyun’s performance 🙏. He was only 18 years old when this song was released, what an amazing singer! Here is Alejandro Sanz original song https://youtu.be/MeD4hCBKpFo?si=vYle8AV4JVEBH6r1.. you can see that Jonghyun put his heart and soul and created a timeless masterpiece.

Okay, this comment is me comment before I forgot what I wanna tell you so I just comment when I didn't finish watching your reaction yet (just around when replay start), I have some fun fact for the reason you didn't recognize Love should go on at first when the song start, but you know what? actually the song is different in melody from their mini-album LOL. if you put the song from mini-album and from this one side by side you will know the different from the start, Love sould go on in this one is sound more electronic (maybe it's because of the "plugged by DJ oneshot"?) and the rap part in the song that you said it's from Minho, actually some parts are from Key. he's the rapper too, you know? lol PS. I want to know too why they put every songs in here except Real....

Fluffy_Chick

I come back again after finish watching LOL. I know you would love Hyeya!! of course you are not done with Jjong's solo just yet! you know, he still have some songs that include in his physical albums only too. you really need to search for it if you're interest. this album have too many of my fav songs (A.MI.GO. just because of the name lol), it's really an R&B classic album. some trivia about some songs (except Love should go on that's I already told you): in Romantic, if you watch the live version, when Taemin sings his belting part, Jjong always support him in their early time (around 2008-2009) before he really can sing it alone. it's really one of a song that show Taemin's improvement in his singing. did you know that The SHINee World's rap part is really a fandom inside joke lol. PS. I saw a comment suggest you to watch Jjong's Y si fuera Ella solo stage. but if you're already plan to react to SHINee World concert too, I'd like to recommend you to keep it and watch the full concert instead. because that stage is from their concert and it'd be a freaking peak first experience if you watch it for the first time.👍👍👍

Oro The Nymph

Hee!! I'm soooo behind on your SHINee and Midnight reviews! Looking forward to catching up, and getting some relief from the world of holiday retail.

K-Lawyer

YESSS I love to hear it. SHINee has so much soul and it’s had me in a choke hold since I found them in 2017. They changed my life! I so appreciate when people take the time to deep dive into them and have the same experience. So enjoying taking this ride with you!

Agusttina Sol

I'm SO here for the SHINee World journey 😭❤️✨

Anne Tran

Please watch their concerts or my favorite album 2009, Year of Us it’s breathtaking

Callista

You are not the only one not vibing with Amigo. In almost every shawol poll for title tracks it lands last place. But their music is just sooooo good. I'm also not the most fan of ballads, but SHINee ballads are always good. Perfect singing and good production. And there are so many. You're in for a treat in the coming albums. My mind I'd always when I think about how young they were 2008 and how good from the start. Monster rookies was their nickname at the time. Very fitting

Lawol

SHINee made me a ballad (including R&B ballads) believer, theirs really hit different. Also, I guess I'm in the minority but I love Amigo lol.

Amanda Bourbonais

This was really "contemporary RnB" era Shinee. Graze, In My Room, Romantic, and Forever or Never were standouts for me. Actually there are a lot of forgotten gems here that I can't believe aren't considered Shinee classics or even Kpop classics in general. And then there's Y Si Fuera Ella, which just shows Jjong's supremacy since he was 17, like I can't imagine any rookie attempting anything like this today, much less live, which he did. The combination of vocal range, breath control, dynamics, and emotion is astounding. And it's FIVE minutes. Incredible. In general he carries this album, but I was surprised by how much Key stood out to me too! Poor Taemin has so few lines haha. Would love to see you check out live performances of some of these songs from their concerts in the future!
