There's something about how upbeat it is, how playful and full of joy - that it activates my parasocialism HARD 😅 I tear up thinking about found family, about the long journey all of them had (but esp Woongki, Steven, Shuaibo, and Han) to make their dreams come true.

In an interview El Capitxn said that he watched other survival shows wherein you could see the rawness of the trainees but once they debut they immediately became polished. Since he had a chance to become the main producer of AHOF, he said while they may be the debuted lineup, he doesn’t want them to be perceived as a perfect idol instead he wanted to showcase their youth. As youth symbolizes mistakes, imperfection, and learnings, he showcased it through AHOF songs. I guess this what makes AHOF relatable even after UL. Their songs were about their continuous journey plus all the members still has that rawness which makes you root for them until they’ve become a star/a hall of famer. Bonus point is that their individual personalities and team chemistry are 100% plus their variety shows are something to watch for.

I think they're more likely than most survival show groups, most of the members were individual trainees or from very small companies (who probably wouldn't mind selling off their contracts). JL is the question mark, bc he is from an active PPOP group and I'm not 100% sure if his company will be willing to fully let him go.

Ahof’s A&R team/El Capitxn’s vision make me eat my words about survival show groups/temporary groups. (To me temporary groups from survival shows give vibes like: “We are colleagues, who agreed on working together and this company will provide us some music”) But being aware of this aspect AND USING THIS WAY to benefit from that and actually build their identity on that, that is such a point of view changing attitude, which I appreciate!

I think part of what makes AHOF/Universe League different is that the team work aspect was BAKED into the show, whereas most other shows it's very much every individual out for themselves. If you think about it - JL, Steven, Shuaibo, and Daisuke have NEVER been apart the entire show, they were never stolen or traded. And same for Jeongwoo and Han, until the very last trade. So most members had SIGNIFICANT time together as teammates, working together rather than against each other. Which is part of why AHOF feels like such found family.

OMG im losing my mind Never Lose you DOES sound like a freaking GOT7 song! I cant unhear it now TT It can quite literally come from the Call My Name album alongside Thursday or Flight log: Turbulence alongside the likes of Let Me AAAAA Also, yea the lyrics are so beautiful in this album. JL Han-ie and Woongki are such powerhouses.. i really hope more people get to know them because oof. Them being together in ONE group is cheating honestly.

So true, I will always prefer having an epic bridge third chorus change and outro like that’s the ultimate song formation for me and between title tracks it’s honestly so subjective but Pinocchio hits a bit harder, I like the edge it has of true sorrow in the melody, and talk about that Park Han BRIDGE, and you throw in a modulation for the third chorus change?? Okay this is my first time listening to them and I like them! The music kinda reminds me of Nine.i, but I can also see where its like 3rd Gen coded. Ill have to check them out more. Its listening parties like these where you give a lot of interpretation and translations that make me want to check out the group more, especially if I've never listened to them before. I dont usually watch the survival shows but get into the group after the fact.

May we request for you to do a reaction on their performance once they released the official YT broadcast vid of it? They did an amazing performance, swear!!! Since AHOF’s sound leans heavily into something emotional, nostalgic, and dreamy, line distribution really matters. Park Han, JL, and Woongki have voices that naturally carry that kind of storytelling and depth, so giving them more lines helps deliver the full emotional weight of the songs. On top of that, their voices are so distinct and easy to tell apart, which makes it easier for listeners to recognize and remember what defines an AHOF track.
