ps-118 is both a solo song and a rap line song. jurin got a feature with rhapsody, an incredible female hip hop artist. jurin’s first verse is the same in both but the rest are completely unique and it would definitely be awesome to see you check it out! ps118 with rhapsody, rock the boat and 4 seasons also all have their own mvs now!

also yeah the timing of this was really sad. i’ve been so excited for your reaction to this and it unfortunately comes right off the heels of some of the worse news xg have ever had. i really hope the girls are okay and hope they can come back even stronger after what happened

I really like this album & I agree with pretty much everything you said at the end about the team effort & cohesiveness in all their productions. That being said the news about Simon & Chancellor being caught with cocaine & cannabis in Japan is horrible for XG's future. They most likely just lost their USP that you described in your review.

They wont... thats the worst possible response to the situation cause they did no wrong...a hiatus makes appear they were complicit. Simon and Chancellor on the other hand will definitely have to take a step back but since the album is freshly realeased they have time to promote it before needing to go back to the studio so their is time to plan around this...

Their music is just so feel good regardless of genre fr! My favorites are probably Ain't No Good and Take My Breath. I also really like ORB cause I love rock and love when groups do it too lol (also someone pointed out that ORB is BRO backwards so thats another bro pun lol!)

You have no idea how this works in Japan. They absolutely will. There is more than a 50/50 chance the rest of the tour stops are "Postponed" canceled. AVEX is in danger. XgalX is permanently tainted for sponsors, since XgaX = simon without him it's not the same. The XG brand is built on Simon. In the coming days and weeks you will come to understand. Like it or not in the Japanese marketplace, they are guilty by association and they will be on hiatus. 100% sure thing. They will not be promoting this album, they will not be on any shows or doing any interviews in Japan. They have been put on silent and are not even engaging on fan platforms or SNS. Their devices were likely seized along with most of the staff when the police arrested Simon.

Form of Therapy

This is absolutely not doomposting and a legitimate concern. Simon‘s vision AND personal involvement and producing 1000% influenced this group. Many cite him as “the soul” of XG. This is pretty career ending. And the concern is 100% valid because of how it‘ll effect XG’s sound, vision, and even quality control in someone elses’s hands.

Yeah the police got a tip so they searched their hotel room after a concert and found bags of cocaine & cannabis. Both got arrested on the spot.

hey PD, i really hope that even if it pretty much seems like the end of XG as we know it - you will continue to support them as they’ve decided and released a statement saying they are not complicit and will continue to move forward with sincerity in their music. i also believe that simon was the the soul of XG but he taught the members and the XGALX team to be able to stick to their foundation and identity. they still have so many creative people behind them and the members themselves have started having input on their music. i was so excited for this listening party that i even put it on my gcalendar lol so it’s sad that it came to this. i’m still happy to hear that you consider yourself a true XG fan, and i hope that doesn’t change because of what happened. love you and thanks for the XG content as always! :)

I think youre blowing this WAY out of proportion. Idk if you live in Japan, but Ive seen many people who do, comment on this and they have a much different reaction. I am WELL aware of how things are in Japan but so far its ONLY in investigation stages. IF they can make charges stick then I could see some speedbumps, but XG is not involved and xgalx can be absorbed by AVEX necessary, as they are a subsidiary. This is an issue of individuals not the company. I dont think you understand how business works. There may be some disruptions but save the talks of cancelling tour dates until the investigation is over. Also unless there is undeniable proof its going to be hard to make charges stick and even if they do its a first offense. Simon and Chancellor will have to step away but XG will continue. Hiatus only serves to harm XG themselves and gove the appearance of involvement. They need to maintain distance, which they have been, and continue business as usual as best as they can.

The news was horrible. However, the members are talented, intelligent and amazing adults. Simon and Chancellor trained and wrote for them and did well. But XG will keep going.. Strong support for them!!

At this point, there's some kind of global girl group curse. There's always some cray cray drama that threatens the group before they reach contract renewal. I'm devastated. I thought XG was safe. And what a STUPID move it was on Simon, Chancellor, etc's part. Do your drugs in America like a normal person. I was trying to make a jokey joke but tbh my heart hurts. 😭

When I first heard it I scoured Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande's discographies because I swore I heard it somewhere before but there was nothing. They do that 2010s R&B sound too well!

Ever since the news came out, - Cocona went to 2026 Milan Fashion Week as a Gucci Ambassador - Jurin did a Numero Tokyo commercial for Chanel's Denim Makeup series - XG posted a scheduled Rock the Boat Short on their official Youtube channel - XGALX released an official statement of The Core Tour proceeding as scheduled Seems they're moving forward which is a good sign🤞
