Aine

So the first singer is Yeongjoo, who is actually a third generation pansori trained singer!

Oh my god I’ve been waiting for this one

I randomly stumbled upon this MV yesterday & I was so mesmerized by this unique song, I've never heard a mix of traditional Korean music and pop like they did it here. Very intrigued for more. Btw I just saw this video, they performed on a radio show, both songs from their single EP & each member covered a song. Babymonster's Sheesh & Jisoo's Flower & OH MY GOD BOTH WERE ABSOLUTELY CRAZY YOU NEED TO SEE THIS PD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDyWw_eL_qI&list=TLPQMTMwMzIwMjbpNG-KjeKKLA&index=2

Is it just me or would this song have been the perfect OST for When Life Gives You Tangerines? When I listen to it I can see certain scenes right in front of me again, it has that kinda vibe to it.

Sascha

wait, oh my god I actually hear Sunmi in one of the girl's tones when you pointed it out, I totally see where you're coming from there

I'm glad you really got into the details of this one! I was interested to hear your perspective on the traditional elements and visuals. I didn't make the Sunmi connection before, but I immediately heard it when you mentioned it. I've been listening to their songs a lot, so I'm happy you liked it as well. Thanks for the reaction PD! Maybe some live stages after the B-side?

With what you said about traditional Korean music / shows, I think you'd love the drama "Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born" about a Gukgeuk troupe (all-female theater/opera with Pansori songs) in the 50s. It's starring Kim Taeri (which in my biased view alone makes it a must watch) who learned to sing Pansori for 2-3 years for this

I have been obsessed with this song since it came out. Their live stages are beautiful. They have a Live Vocal Dance Practice and an It's Live. Their vocals are absolutely stunning to listen too.

omg yes you reacted to them! they are SO COOL and i loooove that they are entering the music scene through this route, they made it work so well and it has so much potential
