Also the festival works with these thropies, the gaviota, ia seagull is the symbol of the city, and this is only given to the artist if people chant it!, otherwise its not given to the artist, there are two versions, silver and gold

As someone who just watched nmixx live 3 days ago, kyujin just bias wrecked the shit out of me. What a monster performer, she’s reminding me of jihyo and that’s just crazy

As a Latina, I will say Haewon's Spanish is fluent, and her pronunciation is clear but she does have a slight foreign accent when she speaks. Overall, NMIXX really killed these performances, and I hope to see more of them at more festivals!

I think the Spanish version of Sonar exists for a while now, pretty sure they performed it last year as well when they performing in Spanish speaking countries. (this version is even available on Spotify & Apple Music, so it might've been there since the OG release even)

I know these things are always very debatable but I never considered NMIXX 5th gen, same with Le Sserafim. Like everyone that debuted before 2024 isn't 5th gen to me.

I think your perception of Lily not having found her stage persona yet, is because she's just the same person on stage than off stage, which is kind of a weirdo (in the best way possible) but anything but stoic and solid like you described. Like of course she's a pro and all but i dont think you'll ever see Lily truly be stoic and solid on stage because she has too much weird energy inside her for that. For example just on one of their last tour stops she suddenly blurted out "twinkle twinkle little star" during their See That performance and you could see all the other members crack up laughing.

No, you’re right. 5th gen started with ZEROBASEONE in 2023 and NMIXX is 2022 so they’re a bridge between late 4th gen.

Alsoo, the crowd is known as the monster, so this festival has music performances but also comedians, and sometimes the monster doesnt like them and they booo and they literallly get taken off the stage!! , so this festival is all about the crowd! Also nmix came out super late, around 150 AM, normally for other acts, considering the time its empty, BUT FOR NMIXX IT WAS FULL!

Another chilean here!! From what i can remember it hasnt really happened with singers, or at least its been only a few times. Theres also a comedian perfoming each night and they take the brunt of the crowds "disapproval, so to speak. Many comedians have ended the night with no trophies

I know you didnt mean it this way, but saying certain members "hard carry" the group puts a rather negative connotation on the rest of the group, seeming to say they need to be carried and otherwise would not be good. I understand what you're trying to say and honestly cant seem to find a better way to put it myself either but "hard carry" just doesn't quite sit right with me.

i went to this festival and just want to add as i just started this video that they went up to perform at like 2am but we gave it all so they felt our love that late lmaooo all kpop fans that are from this city and Chile in general came to watch mostly to support a kpop artist in this show for the first time, there was a mix of nmixx stans and kpop fans in the crowd it was very beautiful to see all the different lightsticks supporting the girls, adding to a comment i saw, the gaviota award to music artist is almost always awarded to (at least the silver one) them unless they fuck up very badly or have attitude problems (maroon 5 will always be hated by chileans since their performance in 2020 but thats a whole different story lmao) but in the past it was more difficult because if el monstruo (the public at the festival is called the monster) attending didnt chant they just dont give the golden one, its mostly awarded to the artist for their trajectory as an artist, their amazing performance given at the festival and so they can sing more after they give them

Mind you, I saw Katseye live last month and they didn't even conjugate verbs in Spanish. They kept going like "to scream!" "to shout!" and they have a Spanish speaker in the group....... so imagine MY surprise when my Latin sister in Christ Haewon started speaking fluently

I wanted to get tickets for them so bad when I saw they were coming to LA, but I already have plans for something else at the same time that night 😭 so I’m so jealous. I hope they come back here soon though

I'm pretty sure the US concerts will have a live band (as they did in Canada) which of course takes it to a whole other level. I feel like Haewon speaks Spanish better than she speaks English! The camera direction was so frustrating! Every time there was a big moment on stage they switched to a camera a mile away at the back of the stadium! WTF! Other than that the show was amazing and they seemed to enjoy it as much as we did. Lily could absolutely go solo. I don't expect her to ever have that "diva" aura - she's a goofy country girl after all, but when she performs solo she has a different energy. SHe's defintely maturing though and we occasionally see signs of her more grown up side but Lily will always be Lily and thats what makes her 1 of a kind. I agree though, she's fundamentally focused on her singing more than anything and it shows! Sullyoon's dancing really stood out to me - I think it's her growing confidence and her combination of strength and elegance thats stunning to watch.

pd you absolutely have to do a review of their concert now!! their performances are already insane in video form but seeing them live in london was beyond my expectations. they somehow sound even better live, you can really feel their energy and the live band elevates the songs so much. the concert intro especially gave me CHILLS i hope they tour with the band again. i hope you enjoy the LA show!

As someone who used to be able to speak Spanish and through either songs or media in general I have been hearing Spanish my whole life I can say you can hear Haewon did not grew up in a Spanish speaking country. But she is definitely so fluent that she does not have to think and translate in her mind. I remember, when they debuted, they mentioned they studied Spanish and she was already the best of them. I would compare her level of Spanish to English speaking idols, who either lived abroad or went to study there. Like RM for example or… well Jennie went to New Zealand very early on, so she is in my opinion hard to recognize that she is not English speaking native. Maybe Jaehyun of NCT, although Haewon is better at Spanish than him in English 🤔🤔
