you should really check out the manga from where the anime left off bc we don’t know if they’ll ever animate it🥹 it shows more of the phantom troupe, and instead of gon being the main character, it basically shifts back to focusing on kurapika again. it introduces a lot of new characters, nen, and whatever is beyond their world (as ging had mentioned). it’s insane. also i’ve been here since you started episode 1. it’s my favorite anime as well, so i really appreciate you watching it. thank you!!!!!!

Sitting in McDonald’s in Palm Springs right now and even though I did not have time to watch this episode with you, I know what is there, so I skipped to your comment at the end. It may sound harsh now, but I’ll say yes… if you had had the kid, you would have ended up being somewhat like Ging. As someone, who has been on my own through metal struggles and as someone, who has been following you here for a while, I dare to say that your past-self of that time would have ended up being similar to Ging. I mean, not to the level that you would hire serial killers to play a game with your kid to give them a lesson. (You were not this level of psycho), but there are many aspects of your old persona and Ging, which match way too much

45:00 - I also like adventures and journeys but I doubt anything can ever beat Shingeki no Kyojin for me, but I will say… this show had arcs, which made Shingeki no Kyojin run for its money

Omg we’re finally at the end, the first time I watched it was probably a decade ago?? WILD, I appreciated being able to view the story through an adult lens and be more receptive to the nuances and the world building vs being a kid super focused on the action (and super locked into Kurapika’s arc although that hasn’t changed much haha), but especially the beauty of Komugi and Mereum’s arc to becoming human I could actually fully process this time around bc I don’t think I was satisfied with that trajectory back then or at least not fully appreciating the writing

I've been here on and off since the day you started hxh ep 1 (even before that for kpop content) and remember thinking I couldn't wait for you to finish the Chimera Ant arc lol This anime is my all-time favorite too for the reasons you've mentioned. It encapsulates everything. It feels alive. I first watched this while it aired during 2011-2014 and always appreciated it more whenever I rewatched as I got older. Thank you for deciding to watch hxh, it's been a great journey. Hope we get the Dark Continent arc anime someday!
