How do you spell…

Alex

K-Pop is the correct for me, but I always write Kpop

Dassah

If I’m writing in an academic sense I use the dash but in regular text no dash ( always capitalized tho )

Liv

It feels like the correct APA/MLA format is “K-Pop” but colloquially all the above feels acceptable

Alison Renaud

Kpop popped up in my recommended when I typed K so I guess I use that way the most 🤣

abbie

I guess I'm just weird?? (KPOP)

may grace

Depends entirely on context. For something more formal, K-pop (my own reasoning being that I wouldn't treat "pop" as a proper noun, and if I were writing it out fully, it would be "Korean pop"). If I'm just talking to a friend, I'm not hitting the shift key for anything, it's just kpop. 😂

Sven Lenders

I’m curious how Joseon Pop (J-pop, Jo-Pop) would have sounded.

monodist (모노디스트)

K-pop or kpop. I usually use k-pop more for serious discussions and kpop for more general conversations. No real rhyme or reason to it, the hyphen just makes it look more sophisticated in the moment. Similar to what May Grace mentioned, I prefer not to capitalise ‘pop’, for the same reason but also because aesthetically it bothers me. I don’t know why, it just doesn’t work for me lol. All of them are viable options though!

Mel

For me, kpop in general convo (and it's probably only lowercase because I do generally write in lowercase - making an exception here!) but K-pop in academic or formal contexts. C-pop, J-pop, K-pop etc, it just feels more consistent across the board (I also use 'jpop' when referencing that genre in a more casual context).

Sascha

When I type properly it's K-Pop and when it's just fast and easy it's kpop 😅

Christina M Villa

K-Pop as the K is an adjective and Popular Music is the noun.

itzandybee

insofar as i largely eschew the use of capital letters, it's kpop 99% of the time i write it
