PD, Epikase just released a video with Taeyang and it’s really funny (cuz it’s EPIK High) and they talked about Coachella as well!!

I was there! The crowd had so much positive energy! Their set was at like 11:30 pm but you never could have been able to tell. We were lit!

You know the shit is THAT GOOD if our Pro Dude says he wants TROT songs to be performed completely

7:55 - My brain did the same (T.O.P’s Fantastic Baby rap part) 😅😅 By the way… technically A Fool of Tears could be considered their full group debut. People say LaLaLa is their debut, but they just performed with that as with an unreleased song during their debut time at YG concerts. It was released on their second single album, while the first single album had We Belong Together as its title track. The tricky thing is… We Belong Together has only G-Dragon, T.O.P and Park Bom on the vocals. The rest of the group is involved in the MV, but only on the remix version, which they also performed at YG concerts back then, had all members singing, but for some reason the remix never made it to be released… And so one may say We Belong Together should not be considered as their full group debut as LaLaLa, which makes sense but to that I say: “Well, then A Fool of Tears is the the only song on the debut single album having all members rapping or singing, so…” Before Still Life (which was originally being composed as a song for his own comeback) was released it was TaeYang’s the most favorite BIGBANG song. So along with the remix version of We Belong Together, I view this as their debut song. Them “skipping” Tonight was unfortunate, but you can tell they did their best to make the most of the one 1 and give them time to switch outfits and moments to breath, so I understand this decision. Power Latino Remix: I BEGGING EVERYBODY ON THIS PLANET OF EARTH, please take your own powerbanks to festivals and such and DO NOT BOTHER others with your stupidity (this remix and the whole “stage” was one of the most unexpected things to happen there and I missed most of it because of that fucking guy standing behind me…)

In the weekend 1 stage they performed Bad Boy instead of Bae Bae. I do not know if you have a preference between these two, but somehow Bae Bae gives me more sense to be performed at festival

59:56 - The world tour starts in August and their anniversary is on the 18/19th of August and YG booked venues in Korea for the 20something of August, therefore I can imagine the album being released on their anniversary and the tour starting literally a few days after that

WiseSmellyLegs

1:03:33 - When G-Dragon looked to the side, when T.O.P’s part of Still Life started, EVERYBODY LOOKED there as well as if T.O.P was supposed to be there…

BIGBANG is still under YG Ent. I doubt they will ever let their rights go, which is the only tricky part, because although I believe they will let them have comebacks and release albums as the members want, it is always an aspect, which makes things complicated schedule-wise. Till this day I am not sure what could Galaxy Corpo. promise to G-Dragon that he would not get from The Black Label as TaeYang has full creative freedom. By that I mean to say if The Black Label had rights for BIGBANG (and G-Dragon was there as well, it would have made things way more easier). DaeSung’s has his own label D-Lable, which is a sub-label of RND, which I am not if they have anyone else, it seems like they wanted to sign him and he asked for his own sub-label to be able to agree on the contract with them. So for DaeSung it might be the easiest to make it possible to match plans related to BIGBANG, despite being under different label.

T.O.P might eventually perform with BIGBANG again in the next decade or so… I doubt he ever comes back per se (I mean… maybe for their 50th anniversary when they are in their 70s, sure… 😅😅). I have a weird question and this might be the best place to ask that. I agree G-Dragon on his own is not the same thing as BIGBANG, despite the group being pretty much G-Dragon’s group in many regards. But after Another Dimension (now I mean from the composing skill level and vision T.O.P has), I started to wonder… Can you all imagine BIGBANG being T.O.P, TaeYang and DaeSung? And I do not mean as if G-Dragon never happened and T.O.P was in charge their whole career, no… I doubt they would have reached the fame and success they did with G-Dragon. But as if T.O.P’s weed scandal never happened but G-Dragon was found guilty in the scandal pre-Übermensch and so the only way for BIGBANG to comeback together after Burning Sun would be T.O.P being in charge of the production and them being this alternative trio. Obviously the sound and everything would not have been the same. But nobody really knows what the next album is going to sound like + they have reached the point of being able to release anything, so T.O.P could do whatever he would have wanted to. I know this question sounds crazy, but at the same time I was thinking the same about T.O.P being absent from BIGBANG and yet it seems they found a way to go around that

WiseSmellyLegs

I am not sure if this ever happened before, but isn’t it crazy to come back from a hiatus/disbandment through Coachella? Like as far as I know artists performing there are either active or even if they didn’t release anything in recent years, they did not stop their career per se. But this was basically a re-debut/restart stage and you could feel them going over 100%. I would have imagined I would ever be saying this about BIGBANG, but besides them as BIGBANG we know, they had this energy of what Stray Kids and Ateez had most of their career/mainly in Kingdom. Like trying to prove they are not done yet and are still able to participate in the game

1:20:33 -- Yes, they uploaded on GD's channel some Coachella behind the scenes. He was as always hands on. He was also the one who suggested the "annyeonghaseyo Daesung imnida" on screen during Daesung's solo song intro.
