It’s going to take a minute for me to digest that but I give him props for just going wild with it. It’s so out of his wheel house but there is something that feels authentic despite it coming from left field. Like TOP I’m happy to see him not just give the fans more of what they know and instead try new things. Also both of them gave us songs that reflect an older mentality, they’ve matured as musicians and as people. We all know what TOP went through and the stress that manifested into an anxiety disorder for GD, but it bears reminding fans that there is a true struggle of being the most normal and together of the current BB members. Daesung has been stable and has his thing but Taeyang didn’t branch out to new ventures, he just kept putting out music unlike the others never refusing, battling or transforming his identity as a Kpop idol. He did collaborated with Lisa and Jimin clearly stating his intention to keep on the same grind, something none of the other members did. If there is a message I get from this song it’s about the choices we make in the rush of life, both the easy and the difficult ones. They shape the form our life takes and we can only move forward. Though the sound is very different, the message is fitting. This is the shape his life has taken for better or worse and he’s not going to quit anytime soon.

I know you did not record a listening party for Down to Earth (the previous EP), but did you listen to it on your own? You always mention Shoong and sometimes Vibe, but nothing else from the EP or the EP itself
