After watching them perform Kiss & Tell last year I really hoped they would do a bright song but a bit more elevated than let's say Cake. And I'm really happy they did it, I love it! Also I'm living this year for all the dance songs we're getting, finally my kind of trend!

I can’t believe this nearly ended up being their b-side… Chaeryeong and Yuna. Need a big thank you for getting it out the b-side ghetto. 😭 I NEEEDED this “older” sounding dance pop. It’s felt the MOST “kpop” kpop song in a GOOD minute. Defo my fave comeback of theirs. ITZY B-sides tend to be just as good as their title tracks.

Motto feels like a combo of Air & Ice Cream with a dash of twice but make it ITZY. There’s a part in motto after the first chorus that goes “mo- mo motto” and it gets very airy and fades out. That part reminded me of an twice song

This is their FIRST title track that doesn’t have an “crown ending” at the end of the song… it feels like the new beginning. It really hit harder knowing this… Their DANCE PRACTICE FOR MOTTO was soooooo clean!!! Recommend checking it out

Glad it wasnt just me who felt it sounded twice!

I’m was floored watching it the first time like I never thought jyp would allow this type of song as a Korean title track (maybe a Japanese title?) it’s so refreshing but mature and all so cohesive to me: they’re on tour, this is celebratory we have resigned our contracts and are here to stay, we are still growing and changing as well (the intro of all the old MV sets OH MAKE ME CRY) the itzy legacy, they are releasing more solo songs with this album, and with all this art they’ve created they are living by their own identity, their motto AS THEY STAND ON TOP OF THEIR LEGACY!! THE CASTLE THAT THEY BUILT!! this is their victory lap

it take me a while but i feeel like this will be the type of song Iz*one will have if they are still together
