Pureflow is an amazing album and I'm so glad the members, and specially Yunjin, were a part of the creative process. I think that the sounds and styles very much reflect what Le Sserafim and the members have become as people and as a group, paired with lyrics that also feel very personal to them. The only thing I have issues with is their selection of title tracks. I think both Spaghetti and Boompala are fun songs but the replay value is not there for me and I'm sure it is because for some reason they feel shallow (?) Maybe it is because I know what they are capable of creatively and I don't see that in those title tracks... I'm not sure. Anyways, it is a crime that Need your company is that short, Saki is one their best songs ever and Trust excercise to me sounds more like a Sabrina Carpenter song, which I love.

This album coming out at a time where i have been feeling more vulnarable than ever before and directly referencing some of my struggles has helped ALOT to overcome those feelings in the last month. Need your company made me cry so much. This is my favorite LeSserafim album and so far my favorite album of the year, even tho I hate Boompala. What upsets me the most about this album is that my friends wont check it out cause they dislike Celebration and Boompala so much, that they are completely turned off for this CB. Most people I speak to do not like Boompala, i wish source didnt make it the title track its so upsetting and is turning people away from such an amazing album.

my mind got changed on boompala from watching the live performances and the studio choom performance.... it might not be that way for everyone but the girl's enjoyment was so infectious that i couldn't help but jam along with them. even though chaewon wasn't there for the performances due to her neck injury (caused by celebration choreo...), i think the remaining 4 did a good job of holding the fort! ofc, thank u for the reaction pd!!!! stan le sserafim for clear skin, clear mind and don't forget to boompala ;)

also! for celebration, after the music ends, the girls and the dancers all keep dancing and going crazy as if its still on, i find the symbolism of dancing like no one is watching + the party still going on despite there being no music really fun and interesting and it mirrors the end of the MV as well

Ahhh yay! I can't wait to hear you thoughts about Saki. You're the only one who I think loves her voice more than I do so I can't wait. I also have a full tinfoil Hybe theory about this song in relation to Iconic by Mistake and the title track/ pre-release choices. But to be honest I am just REALLY happy with the album lmaoo

i, like you, loved celebration but didn't really mesh with boompala. the bsides on the album are absolutely stellar though so i think if they had scrapped boompala and gone with saki or iffy iffy as the second single it really would have drawn more people into the album! it's all personal taste though so i'm sure there's many who loved boompala who wouldn't have liked that.

is the enhypen song you're thinking of too close ? the melody line in the choruses are vaguely similar imo but if you're talkining about the overall vibe/beat idk if it matches per se. also i know trust exercise samples physical by olivia newton-john !

Resubbed as soon as this reaction dropped😁 I was looking forward to your reaction of the boompala performances but can’t blame you for your taste and disliking the sample! Always appreciate your honesty it really enriches your reaction to the album. By no means my favourite title but I do love boompala and had no clue people didn’t like it cos I’m not on socials so I’m just gonna keep on boompala on my own haha🙏 hope you can react to the celebration performances! At first my fave bside was creatures but now it’s need your company + sonder (I like listening to them as a pair I’m too used to them flowing into each other from the album order). Irony is the only song I’m not in love with but I still can jam to it, just doesn’t have impact on me like the others. I have really noticed eunchae’s vocals this time especially in boompala and NYC. It wasn’t until you read out the pure flow translation I realised it rearranges into ‘powerful’. I love what they’ve achieved with this record everything you said about it being more personal, I felt that too. I hope it will come to reflect their new path in music!

if im not wrong yunjin specifically made need your company shorter and end abruptly because she wanted it to be like this emotional phone call with a friend that just cuts off. the feeling of it being cut short was intended

Liminal Space is an amalgation of their conversations in the small space of time they have in their busy lives. I do think you should give the BOOMPALA live stages, or even just MOVE TO PERFORMANCE video, a try even though you don't like the song lol. In the album, I like BOOMPALA the least; I don't hate the track because I find it fun lol. Need Your Company is intended to be the interlude of the album, hence the short duration. We've been begging Yunjin to extend the song aha.

To be real after crazy i don't like any of their main releases from HOT to spaghetti to boompala.. i like some of their b-sides tho but from this album i only liked 3 songs overall iffy iffy/sonder/irony but thats just my musical taste.. Also i believe hybe don't utilize their talent and vocals collectively at full and they give them songs that doesn't showcase any of this lately

random thoughts just because i need somewhere to get them out: boompala wouldn’t be for me even without the macarena sample, but i think i would appreciate it more without it. the song is fun with a really nice message, but the honestly excessive macarena makes it feel so gimmicky. i also feel like every track could have had an extra 20-30 seconds. lsf are my favorite group, but i do get a bit frustrated with how short the tracks are because i just need MOREEEE. sonder reminds me so much of an imogen heap song. it’s been like over a decade since i really listened to her music, so i can’t remember which one. i LOOOOVE the way they play with their vocals in this one. i love being able to hear the range they all have.

I personally don't think Need Your Company needs to be longer. Would I like it to be longer? Sure. Just like I would like to read more of Lord of the Rings. But the story is done. The author said what she wanted to say. Need Your Company is explicitly a song that Yunjin wrote with Chaewon in mind. They have diametrically opposite personalities, with Yunjin being super outgoing emotions-on-her-sleeve instantly-friendly New Yorker, and Chaewon being much more careful and taking time to form relationships. With the members saying they were interviewed (even more so than usual) to find out the topics they resonate with and what they want to express personally, the fans believe Trust Exercise is the flipside of Need Your Company, written from Chaewon's perspective, even if she doesn't have credits there.

I am definitely the target audience for Boompala. Lesserafim is one of my favorite groups so I can't say I'd place it top 10 cus they have so many great songs, but Boompala makes me feel so much joy. It's another great from them album for me. I truly do just wish there was more. Iffy Iffy will definitely be one of my most played songs this year.
