I freaking love this album so much! Might be in my running for album of the year! My favorite is Storm but the whole album is 🤌🔥🔥🔥🔥 I would have made Storm the title track and its an amazing driving song! Also only Taeyong could make a song about being a dancing cactus and Ill love it 🌵💚🌵 I looked up 4 on the floor reference and its the base 4/4 rhythm for house, techno, pop, rock and disco. I havent felt this way about an album since Jenni's solo last year. Its so artistic and unique and totally Taeyong. It feels like he put his whole soul into every song.

I've been listening to I'm dancing cactus on loop, and whenever it's the "4 on the foor" part, I would picture the infamous toy cactus (the one that would record and playback in a higher pitch+ wiggles) and assumed the 4 refers to how a generic cactus is posed like.

Taeyong is so weird and I am HERE for it! I think this is fantstic. ETA: honestly I'm wondering if all my favorite NCT songs are just Taeyong tracks, y'know? Oh, the instrument in Hypnotic is, I believe, a trumpet with a mute. Don't know how it works, but I've seen them in old movies! PD, not sure if you knew, but Taeyong & Haechan were at the Seoul Jazz Festival. They only had one stage together (NCT U's "PADO" as an encore. Lyrics as a reminder: 'You got me confused, you got me so satisfied', etc.) and then had their own separate stages. Haechan performed "Love Beyond", "Roll With Me", "CRZY", "Talented" and "Camera Lights" with a live band (and two song covers: "Thinking Out Loud" and "Love Never Felt So Good", too short). Taeyong performed a few songs from his new album, too ("Run", "WYLD", "Hypnotic") and "Rock Solid" by himself, as well older ones ("Ups & Downs", "TAP", "Misfit" [solo NCT U song] ) also with a live band.

for 4 on the floor its this: "Four on the floor" is a rhythmic pattern in 4/4 time where the bass (kick) drum strikes evenly on all four quarter notes in a measure. It creates a driving, pulsating beat and serves as the rhythmic backbone of disco, house, pop, and rock Now, I agree with a lot of what you said except the earnest part and what he says through his music because actually Taeyong is someone who shares SO much of himself and his struggles and thoughts through his music and lyrics, maybe you feel Mark does it more because hes more straightforward with it whereas Taeyong has some songs that are more obviously personal but for a lot of it he does it through word play, metaphors, etc etc so its not so obvious to everyone right away unless you know stuff that has happened to him or stuff he has shared with us, I would say his music is actually the most personal because hes not afraid to share the good the bad and the ugly. This album as you said is a masterpiece that he will top because hes just such an exquisite artist on his own category. I cant wait for whats to come and also seeing the songs he has in the vault along with all the new stuff hes making bc he truly NEVER stops creating and making music.

PD!!! There's a Storm classy performance video(what a perfect name for it lmao) and a dance practice or Storm, as well as some official VOD's/special stages from Taeyong's solo concert for several of the songs on this album. There's a VOD video for 404 Euphoria that is so fucking beautiful and heartbreaking and SO COOL!! as well as performances of Skii and Feeling Myself :)) AND there's a stage practice for the Feeling Myself choreo!!!! Taeyong is feeding us well hehehe :))
