i think most people dislike roll? the more i listen to it its catchy though and fun but out of every other song i dont think it would be my first pick either

Many people dont like Roll just because its sample nursery rhyme, but I really enjoy that, my favorite could be cant help my self, surprised by karina voice in intro. Really deserved r11/10 rated album. Really enjoyed your reaction PD!!

people loveeeeeeed switchblade so i think it’s roll, but actually roll is a good song. it’s an iconic song for the haters and the way they sampled a children’s song so it could be easily interpreted by the haters bc they dgaf lololol

I keep suggesting Younha's Would You Record episodes, but its funny you mention Karina tapping into that bluesy tone cause that and rock band sound seems to be what she enjoys the most and it shows in her song selections for her episode.

Switchblade has been ON REPEAT for me since this album was released. I also find My Plan the weakest since I find slower songs boring, depends really on the artist if they execute slower songs well. However I do appreciate the vocals on the song. I don’t mind Roll at all mostly because of the lyrics, they did a great job to make it more fun and to somewhat distract me from the nursery beat. Top 3 (No particular order but these 3 songs rotate the most between the top rankings) - Lemonade Switchblade WDA (I love the dark aura it exudes, not to mention the instrumental is sick af) Thank you for reacting, I have been waiting for this!!🙂‍↕️💛

believe it or not my least favorite is ''can't help myself'' .. i am not mad about it but i dont love it either.. my top 3 b-sides probably are camouflage/switchblade/bite or shakin .. i also thought it was better than armageddon but after few weeks i am not sure i mean there are more songs that i didn't like on armaggedon but the ones i liked were way too good... we ll see in sometime in the future how it will sit to their discography

Yesss ur comment on Karina’s vocals is the reason that’s my favorite song on the album. There’s a fullness and body to her vocals that really allows the song to hit hard. It’s something that I feel like she was really able to do on the GOT THE BEAT songs and she sounded incredible

Not saying this just because she is my bias, but she genuinely has my favorite voice in Aespa...so yeh I love every chance she gets to show off her vocals...her performance of the Your Name theme during her birthday event was a treat!

"Camouflage" almost sounds like a tripleS track to me. And I collect tripleS songs/albums, so it's not a bad thing. "Can't Help Myself" could be a Soundgarden song from the 90's with several tweaks (to make it more blues-psychedelic alt rock compared to blues-country pop rock, although those switches in the aespa song lends itself more to blues-psychedelic alt rock from the 90s, so it's half-way there, but the intro and chorus sounds more blues-country pop rock leaning).

Oh, man. Just reached the end of the video and you were thinking of the same rap song I thought of, but I thought that was better than "Roll" (in my opinion). Maybe because it only used the "Do Your Ears Hang Low" nursery rhyme as a chorus and not half of the entire song. Jibbs - "Chain Hang Low" from 2006. I was like, 'what, what ice cream song?' then you mentioned 'chain' and it clicked. Lol. I have been thinking of that song since I heard "Roll", that's how much it is in my head.

Hmmm on the first listen I'm not blown away. A couple of songs are nice, but nothing wow. This might change with subsequent listens though lol

You know, I wasn't the biggest fan of WDA at first, even after I gave it a shot a few times when I saw it in some reactions I'm subbed to on youtube. But then I listened to the song without the video and it suddenly got way better. I don't know if this was the reason but the video gave off very AI vibes and I wouldn't be surprised if that was a factor.
