I ran here when I saw the reaction got posted fr

Stephanie Dockery

He does have a another song with song called overflow on Apple Music

Teagan

Are you going to react to Overflow? It's the song that released alongside Ride or Die!

BZ

There's another song on the single called "Overflow" with a video coming out tomorrow, I think, and it's a totally different vibe, but i like it so much. I think both songs together really help you understand what Heeseung meant when he said his solo career was going to be all about him being authentic to himself and telling his story. You should definitely check it out (just for yourself if you don't have time to react to it), because I think it will help you understand him as a solo artist more. Thanks for the reaction!!

so this is actually a very tiny ep with another song called overflow which showcases his more sentimental side as opposed to the emotional outburst of ride or die and i definitely think you should check it out if you haven’t already! i definitely think it gives us more insight of the artist lee heeseung wants to be so i’m just very thankful the company is letting him take control of the music he wants to create and show the world. personally, overflow is more to my taste but since you’re a rock fan, i’m curious to know what your thoughts are! thank you for reacting and can’t wait to watch evan’s artistry evolve with you, haha! take good care!

Hi PD, as others have mentioned he has 2 songs that got released. I'd really love to hear your dissection of the song "Overflow" as to me it has more of an emotionally heavy tone. I also really reccomend reading his interview with WKorea. It really picks his brain and is honestly such a great interview. You really get to see more of Evan and his thought process. Here's a link to the scans of the interview! https://x.com/xeeszme/status/2068132470730772722?s=20 He worked on this entire project from start to finish, not only from music production, lyrics etc, but also to creative direction regarding his concept photos and the music video. This really is his passion and I'm so proud of him.

I do not know how to explain why I feel this, but to me it seems like they want to make him a western-like solo act. It is not like as if the song was full English… that is not my point or reason to be feeling the way I am. But let’s take any wester boy group and a member wanting to have a solo career, in most of the cases it means: “You cannot have a solo career and still be in the group (as it is in Kpop)” And so here they did not just let Evan have his solo career along the group’s career. They want him to go SOLO SOLO. To the level of Justin Timberlake. Sure, people remember there were times, when he was “in that boy group”, but people immediately associate him with him as a solo act. That is what I think HYBE’s goal is

Milagros

I HOPE they do, it would be very dumb of them to target the same market as Enhypen and split the fandom in two

song is way too short but love it regardless, excited to see the overflow mv

such a bittersweet debut but i’m still here for it!! as both an engene and a now an ‘ever’, im excited to see what both artists put out there, and im happy most people are supporting all of them every step of the way. i hope heeseung continues to have this creative freedom on his projects because the expectations were 100% met and he seems to really be on fire rn

Such a bittersweet moment as an engene of 5 years. The song is not something that i gravitate toward but i can feel it growing on me! I'm so happy that we didnt have to wait really long to get music from Evan. Thought its an unexpected sound he pulls it off rlly well with his vocal delivery along with the added effects to his voice. I must say it took me a really long time to come to term with the news when it came out. I've only now started re-listening to enha, hearing his voice and knoeing that he is no longer in the group. Now im sincerely cheering for both Enha and Evan and hoping that this onky makes them grow and prosper as artists.

Please react to his second song overflow it's so beautiful there's a mv on his YouTube channel

idk if anyone else will feel this way, but this reminds me of jay chang's solo releases, and not in the best way. it feels poorly acted and the lyrics feel cheap. the song's a bit generic. hoping they'll give him a stronger musical identity as they explore options going forward.

i’ve honestly been thinking about this video for a while because i couldn’t figure out why it bothered me so much. and i finally realized it’s because after everything the six members have gone through over the past four months, hearing someone who has followed enhypen for years still describe the group this way is honestly heartbreaking. the amount of stress, hate, comparisons, and disrespect these six members have endured because of a decision they didn’t even make has been unbelievable. they’ve been told they would be nothing without heeseung. people questioned whether enhypen could even survive. people called them said they lost their identity, and acted as if the group was over and reduced them to heeseung and his free…. yet through all of that, they kept their heads high. they adjusted incredibly quickly. they carried on with festivals their first performances as six 3 days after heeseung left on the Melbourne festival was mind blowing, Blood Saga and Weversecon.. they showed everyone just how professional and resilient they are. and then i hear you say that heeseung was “holding the group together,” and that his departure is “a huge blow.” i’m sorry, but have we been watching the same enhypen? because everything i’ve watched these past four months has shown me a group that refused to break. what disappoints me the most is that you had the perfect opportunity to praise heeseung’s solo debut for his strengths, his stage presence, his artistry, and the effort he put into it… instead, you chose to frame it through what enhypen supposedly lost. that’s exactly the narrative the remaining six members have been dealing with for months. that’s why this hurts to hear. because coming from someone who’s followed enhypen for so long, i expected better. the six members shouldn’t still have to prove that enhypen is enhypen. they already have. And if you don’t see it… then its your loss.

Your words : “ You know, I personally still love ENHYPEN. Heeseung wasn’t even my favorite member in ENHYPEN. I just think Heeseung was the most skilled one. I think Heeseung was the prodigy, I think he was that guy. I kind of saw Heeseung as the guy…he was that guy. I thought he was the one that was sort of locking it down, holding the group together, and frankly carrying the group in their early years until the members caught up. Is Heeseung leaving a huge blow to the group? Absolutely. Not because the group needs him, but because of what he brought to the group. Because of how skilled and talented he is as a performer. That’s why it’s such a huge blow. They have to readjust because that dynamic isn’t there anymore. And it hurts. It really does. But then the question becomes: What was it all for? “ idk, this whole statement came across as really backhanded to me towards the other members. “the most skilled one.” the most skilled in what exactly? because when i look at enhypen, i see incredibly skilled performers. jay, jake, sunghoon, sunoo, jungwon, and ni-ki are all exceptional in their own ways each had their strengths…. “he was that guy.” what does that even mean? “holding the group together” and “carrying the group until the members caught up.” so… what were the other members doing? was ni-ki not carrying performances with his dancing? was jungwon not leading the group while also being an incredible performer? were jay, jake, sunghoon, and sunoo not contributing to enhypen’s success? And following along? that’s why this feels so backhanded. you could have praised heeseung’s talent, stage presence, vocals, artistry, and solo debut without bringing enhypen into it or diminishing what the other six members have contributed over the years… he’s no longer part of the group. let his work stand on its own. instead, you’ve created clips that are now being shared on social media and used to degrade the remaining members and reinforce the exact narrative they’ve been fighting against for the past four months. that’s what’s so disappointing.
