It’s inspired by the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, one of the biggest classical novels in Chinese culture, which is set during the Three Kingdoms era in China (220 - 280AD). each WayV member is playing a character inspired by heroes/historical figures from the Three Kingdoms. The members also each have symbols of values from Chinese culture: Kun (as Liu Bei) - benevolence and virtue Xiaojun (as Zhou Yu) - cultured and elegance Ten (as Guan Yu) - loyalty and righteousness Yangyang (as Zhugeliang) - Wisdom and strategy Hendery (as Zhao Yun) - loyal Courage

Grand concepts suit WayV so well, and we can always trust them to give us top tier bridges/final chorus/outros. I love the song and the traditional Chinese instruments too, I played the guzheng (similar-ish to the one in the mv) growing up, so its fun to hear them in a WayV song lol

Going by what you said, knowing they have an English version of this song will not sit well with you. Lol. WayV has their own "Kick It" now - only I actually like the song "Vision Wings", and I don't like NCT 127's "Kick It". I know "Kick It" is mostly based on Korean martial arts films (?), but it is still Korean. Like "Vision Wings" is based in Chinese culture, only more traditional.

no hate and no shade to any other groups but imagine posting THIS in a era of lngshot cortis stray kids or other hiphopslop this is fully UNIQUE, both the concept and the song when I found out they were going for traditional chinese I thought it was gonna be more majestic? I expected strings... Now image what I felt when I heard a HYPERPOP BEAT and noticed the real concept is TRADITIONAL CHINESE WARRIORS.
