I’m interested to hear your perspective on this. I think there was so much drama around this survival show because so many of the girls were so talented and it was hard to see them go. Looking back the members they chose are perfect for the concept they wanted

PD they replayed Jeemin getting eliminated about 50 times during I land 2 😭. She didn’t make it unfortunately. Correct me if I’m wrong but these are the contestants who aren’t in illit but are currently idols now. I just searched Yuisa (Leader), SeoYeon, and Ena(Maknae)... they're now in Girls Archive (GirAca), a 5-member Korean-Japanese Group from HYBE NEB & INCS toenter, they had a pre-debut track "Reborn" on Aug 7, a theme song for the Japanese animated Netflix film, The Ribbon Hero. The other 2 members came from Dream Academy (Hinari) and a former Pledis trainee (SoJeong).

Oh yeah that’s the most recent group right. I remember seeing the announcement for them but slipped my mind and forgot to include them.

This is my first time really watching PD first time watching a survival show (I didn't tune in much in I-Land 2).. and It's fun watching PD turn into a PD Judge while watching.

Just a question to think about, are you doing Peak Time after R U NEXT? Because now it is 2 "girl" shows in a row and if the next one would be Girls Planet 2027, Hip Pop Princess or another girl group show then Peak Time might become a bit outdated. Maybe if you have some time left you could consider doing it alongside another show as well. Don't feel pressured, just something I would like to have informed you about. Now I'll go watch the show and give my opinions and info of what I know.

r u next happened way too soon after boys planet, so i really couldn’t focus on it when it was airing, but i DID watch the first episode live and i literally tweeted “wonhee for debut” “wonhee is a long shot but i believe in her” “wonhee can do it she’s a star i don’t care!!!” and “i am a wonhee truther i don’t mind if she doesn’t debut here, but she is a starlet and i love her”. there was something so magnetic, pun intended, about her. honestly, jake was my one pick from the first episode of land, so i have seen what steady growth and a good heart can do for a trainee on a survival show. the show established a very good character for her right from the jump and i can always get behind an underdog lol. also, seoyeon reminds me so much of annie from adp, which i know isn’t who you’re thinking of at all, but it struck me right when i saw her first confessional.

In GENERAL. All the ILLIT members potential was seen here and seeing ILLITS concept and what they’re doing now just ANNOYS ME. Their potential is locked behind ILLIT and that’s my frustration with the group. ESP with MOKA, YUNAH and sometimes Iroha. The public had a VERY different finale lineup from what we got.

I love me some Illit! My hot take tho is that they could have easily made two girl groups with the talent pool they had. Clearly the vision for illit was more so cute and dreamy, but contestants like Jiwoo and Chanelle did not fit that vibe so they made sure to not have them debut. A shame really because a group with Jiwoo, Chanelle, Jeemin and Jihyun would have been a way for Hybe to please the audience who don’t typically like Hybe groups but I understand why they obviously wouldn’t want to debut two groups.

If you look at these auditions and knowing who is in ILLIT now, don't you think it is a little weird that they went with a cute concept? I mean we've seen that it worked out the right way, but: Yunah & Minju did Good Girl, Bad Girl Moka did Tomboy Iroha did Dalla Dalla and then only Wonhee did a cuter song So I'm curious if ILLIT will ever have a more tougher comeback if you get what I mean.

These would be my rankings: Bad Boy: High: Chanelle (She carried the vocals and is a great performer) Middle: Jiwoo (Her vocals are too good to ignore, her stage presence could be a bit better) Low: Jeongeun (I kinda did not notice her that much, and even when I focussed on her afterwards my eyes got to someone else) Dalla Dalla High: Iroha (She is just born to dance) Middle: Hyewon (if Iroha wasn't there she would have gotten High) Low: Jihyun (She did amazing, but the others were just one step above her) Dreams Come True High: Seoyeon & Iris (Both gave quite a decent performance, could work a bit more on vocals tho) Middle: Ena (Although she wasn't the best, she did carry a lot of the song and the high notes so I feel like she should have gotten some more credits) Low: Wonhee (Imma be honest, I did not enjoy her performance at all, because she was really stiff and her face was basically smile trough the pain the whole performance, I could feel her stressing out, I do see why people like her tho) Tomboy High: Youngseo (Podium beast) Middle: Moka (Great execution) Low: Moa (Sometimes a bit overacting, but still very good)

When Wonhee’s team was practicing, you said that you recognized 2 of the women coaches and the one with her hair down is a vocal teacher who was on I-Land and is/was the vocal teacher for Enhypen. She is still working with Heeseung because she was in his debut documentary. I’m sorry but I cant remember her name. She may have been a judge on Boys Planet or Boys2 Planet too

I would actually love for you to check out To Be World Klass survival show sometime. It’s the show that formed TOO/TO1, with Woongki, Kyungho and Seongmin. I think it’s a very unique show and worth the watch even though the group is no longer active

i never watched this show while it was airing but i am a huge fan of illit now and i remember a lot of the online discourse when they debuted with magnetic was from people who had just finished watching this show going 'omg why did hybe debut them with a cute concept this doesn't suit the members that were chosen to be in the group' and i was a bit confused because to someone who hadn't seen the show they did suit it but then i started seeing clips of performances from r u next and i was like omg what??? so i get that criticism now and also now that i'm watching the show along with PD all this time later after several illit releases i predict that i'm going to feel that frustration a lot more during this watchthrough journey T__T i love illit's concept don't get me wrong but i wanna see iroha 'go beast mode' as PD calls it with koko from izna lol

Omg I’m sooo excited about you reacting to this series!!! I still believe the RUNext theme song (originally sung by Suzy of Miss A) is the BEST survival show theme song of all time so I’m excited for the next episodes. I really liked this survival show when it came out because the concept and creative direction was unique from other survival shows. The tone and the use of color in this series was captivating and I even thought the elimination episodes were engaging. I watched this while it aired and I will say my ride or die from day one was always Yeongseo. Her aura is just different. I agree with you that she isn’t properly utilized in ADP and it’s a shame she hasn’t been able to showcase more of her charm yet. Can’t wait for the next episode!! 😜

PLSSS DONT COME AFTER ME.. But I actually do feel the same way towards Jiwoo (similar to Fuko's situation in ILAND-2). Where they both are great and stable trainees, but i feel like they are lacking of an x factor compared to some of the other contestants.
