pausing and tearing up after slowly bleed is a universal experience. as someone who plays the piano this entire album has been an eargasm 😭 i also have to appreciate how involved the members were in the lyrics!!

Whats crazy about Slowly Bleed is that all 3 choruses are different! And both pre choruses are different too!

If i was to pick i would personally say i like the intimate and emotional CYE from their debut album just a teeny bit more than their harder hitting r&b from the blackout album. Which is why i am very very very happy that they somewhat returned to that with this album, because that was the thing that hooked me onto CYE. Also this might the first time my album ranking matches your almost perfectly. I would just put Baby Bossa Nova second, it just puts me in a really happy mood.

Slowly Bleed is my song of the year, beating 8Turn's Stagefright, which I didn't think any song would. It's just so emotional, it has that yearning feel that I love and as just makes you ascend.

i had unconsciously stopped listening to cye since their blackout album, but slowly bleed came on randomly while i was driving and i was IMMEDIATELY pulled back in. one of the most indescribable listening experiences i’ve ever had.
