Your observation about Lovelyz's score was correct. If you look again just for the score from fan voting, without the special audience and unit round, they placed last. That means that basically aside from their fans almost nobody from other fandoms casted their second vote for them, which is frustrating cause even when they do a performance that supposedly is their strength people ignore it. I get that cute concepts are usually not everybody's cup of tea, even I don't like it if is too cute and bland but that performance elevated the song so much...Lovelyz should have placed higher.

This episode, more than any others, shows why I really dislike fan voting. Even if the audience is evenly composed of fans from each group who vote for that group, very few people are exclusively fans of a single group. The more popular groups are pretty much always going to get more votes (from the second vote) each round just by the nature of fandom and bias. I really like everyone on the show, so I'm always just happy to see them succeed no matter what, but it really sucks that certain groups (like Lovelyz) have amazing performances that seemingly get no respect from the audience. Also, for the record, I think (G)I-DLE's performance this round is the best stage performance I have ever seen from an idol group. It felt like it was on another level that you rarely see from a musical act--K-pop or otherwise. I've watched a lot of these performances numerous times and each time I saw that one I feel like I experienced and noticed new things.

My ranking for this Fandom performance is: and keep in mind that it was Make a performance for the fans. And it’s only based on that. 1 MAMAMOO (it was an ode to their fandom) 2 Lovelyz (they went back to their roots) 3 Park Bom (best performance till now) 4 Oh My Girl (showed new side) 5 (G)I-Dle (showed this side already) 6 AOA (wasn’t what I expected)

My ranking would have been: 1) (G)i-dle; 2) Oh My Girl; 3) Lovelyz; 4) Park Bom; 5) Mamamoo; 6)AOA. (G)i-dle's blows me away every time I watch and when it comes to #2 and #3 watching them for the second time I appreciate them much more now. Park Bom and Mamamoo are really tied for me because Bom sang well and I like the concept for the stage and I'm disappointed overall by Mamamoo in this program. Of course they are phenomenal singers, for sure the best collection of voices in Kpop right now, but their stages were unimpressive to me overall. AOA's performance was messy.
