but how about..... right now? i think yes

Yes yes yes! Thank you, PD! They sure stretched out the end announcing the winner. I figured you would hate that part. Other than those treacherous Korean editors, it was glorious! Congratulations to all of the participants. I came for (g)I-dle and MAMAMOO; I left a fan of all the groups.

Well, I know where I'll be for the next 2 and a half hours. *checks video length* Wait, make that 3 hours. No wonder this isn't in HD, this is your longest video yet, no? Even the Dating Class binge watch video was about 2 hrs and 15 mins. Damn, thanks PD!

Thilde

I also forgot how long the final was so I'll see you tomorrow :')

Randomperson

Yes finally so excited to see you reacting to Lion and all these amazing stages. I hope you can see why Neverlands kept annoying you about Lion now :)

Ena

I totally understand what you mean with both G-Idle and Mamamoo being 10/10 but in there own significant way. For me G-idle and Mamamoo really stood out throughout Queendom. G-Idle are literally THE super rookies, I feel some sense of pride when I watch them perform. G-Idle are Queens in the way that they aren;t just Idols, they are artists who can do everything themselves. Mamamoo just oozes power and talent, they don't need to have flashy dances or anything because they're just that powerful in just themselves. Mamamoo are queens because they know how to control not only the stage but the whole show in general.

Amethyst FloverOrbit

So let me just leave some feedback...but first, GWANGO COME ON! XD

Tania Duran

Yes! Just finished watching it. I came for Mamamoo, Bom, and (G)-Idle but seriously am a fan of Oh My Girl now. Thanks for this crazy ride. I miss watching things with others now that I live by myself I don't get to so I appreciate you taking your time doing this show :) Looooved Destiny and Lion!

My final voting. 1 MaMaMoo 2 (G)I-Dle 3 AOA 4 Oh My Girl 5 Lovelyz 6 Park Bom

Oh My Girl happened to release a Japanese album on Christmas Day, I just discovered

MaMaMoo vs (G)I-DLE = the unstoppable force vs an immovable object

If I'm honest... Mamamoo is the group where I skip the most performances while re-watching. They were also the ones where I was the least exited before a new episode. I was anxious for Park Bom, wanted to see what Idle would come up with, impressed by AOA, shocked by Oh My Girl, proud of Lovelyz but for Mamamoo I was just like... Well... They will do a Mamamoo Performance - nothing new. I'm someone that will get bored really fast of Groups if I don't get surprised by them anymore. My favorite Mamamoo Songs are Paint me & Sleep in the Car and really like them but I honestly started to get bored of them while watching Queendom and it even took me a whole week to check out their new Album (just remembered I also really love Mama!) hope no one hates me for that. It's also one of the Reasons I don't call myself ARMY anymore. Hope their new Album brings me something different. It's one of the Reasons I love Super Junior - They are always evolving!

Queendom was sooooooooo good. There's talk about a season 2 or even a kingdom. Honestly I don't know how well a season 2 would do. I'm struggling to think of other groups that can bring what these groups did. But if they do follow up on it I hope they change the voting system, it was clear from the moment they explained the voting system that the group with bigger fandom would win. Also no solo artists, its such an abysmal disadvantage.

Fayyezz

I really hope Queendom is a yearly thing, cuz this show was amazing and everyone got something out of it even tho MMO won. Maybe they will make "Kingdom" next year? :)

NanoPIX

Mamamoo was always awesome in each stage, I just don't think they fit Queendom and its concept. I think Queendom was a show to demonstrate new colors and garner new fans through that, I didn't feel that from Mamamoo, they just went there and did Mamamoo things. If you didnt stan them before there was no new reasons to stan them now. Even for the Fandora round, it was a fan voted song, doesnt mean it was for the fans, the fandom was gonna vote for you anyway, the point is to make others vote for you. In that aspect (G)I-DLE, OMG and AOA are the winners of this show, Idle is my ult group and they still made my jaw drop. I looked into OMG songs and MVs and I elevated from fan to stan of AOA. Again, nothing against Mamamoo or the other contestants, I just don't think they showed anything that they havent shown before.

Thilde

"The point is to make others vote for you". The very point that Mamamoo was trying to make was that they didn't care about that. They wanted to perform and win for their fans. And it was never implied that the point of the show was purely to show new colors. At any rate, Mamamoo gained a ton of new fans from Queendom so I don't think that logic holds up.

Rewatching the final performances and my opinions are really similar about all them. I'm not the biggest (g)-idle fan but their performance was the best for me. And Mamamoo winning was no surprise since they were the most consistent performance and ranking wise. Second place was going to be either OMG or (g)-idle based on the score they had from the preliminary rounds. I'll admit I was sceptical about this show when I heard about it...thought it would be awful and would just cause ridiculous fandom wars, but since PD decided to watch so I said "well why not check it out?". By the end of it all I say that it was worth it just because some groups got to show so much more and gain some attention from it like AOA and Oh My girl. I was already checking OMG since their Coloring Book comeback (the one before Secret Garden) but the show made me like them even more. And...I actually had kind of given up checking Lovelyz before the show...since their last 2 comebacks for me were very underwhelming and too similar. So even if their performances throughout the show weren't the best, it made me comeback to check them once again and look foward for their next release. Of course, the not so good part of the show was Lovelyz getting hate just because of a performance (I blame more the people than the show because of this but...). Criticism is fine, I had it too for their Sixth Sense performance, but doing a petition for them to disband and going into their v-lives to say awful things to them just because of that it's crazy to me. All in all, I think it was a great show with great performances and if we get a season 2 I agree with a lot a people that it shouldn't have solo artists. Or else once again we will have someone at disadvantage and the show having to give the convenient "bonus chance" like they did with Park Bom at the right moments.

I hope they make "Kingdom" as a Season 2 to Queendom kinda like Produce

I was a bit surprised everyone likes G-Idles stages so much, personally I feel like they rely super heavy on their backup dancers and set designed provided by their company. Everyone got different tastes obv, just took me a bit by surprise. Personally to me Mamamoo took the top pretty easily since it really feels like a concert. OMG second with their vocals and really delivering the feeling of the song without huge stage designs or anything. Overall the program was great, we got a lot of awesome stages and got to see them bond as well. Really was hesitant when they announced it since it seemed like they were going for the drama. Luckily it felt like they gave up that after like two episodes when the girls were just being nice to each other lol.

NanoPIX

Performances are performances, backup dancers and set design are part of it. Also soyeon planned the stages (not alone ofc), it wasn't "provided by their company", well monetarily it was.

PD, I know you've made comments on various reaction videos and the roundtable you did with The Kollective Crew; but hearing you say Soyeon thinks like an A&R, it would be really interesting to hear your thoughts in-depth about Soyeon and (G)I-DLE - Soyeon's strengths, where they are now in their development, just overall a deep-dive of "THE girl group". And after seeing Dreamcatcher (twice?) a deep dive on your perceptions of them would be awesome.

Portal_Paw

Am I the only one who thought g-idle was bad? The song is great but the performance was missing some things

Thank you for reacting to this show. I always appreciate in the group and their music more when hearing your comments along. The same goes for this show, I was rooting for MAMAMOO and (G)I-DLE but end up with appreciating with all groups' hard work. They are all great in their own way no matter what their ranking is. Now I'm looking forward to see the improvement of each group in future.

Leon

I don't know why some of you above try so bad to drag MAMAMOO when they did not a single thing wrong. They didn't care about ranks, they came to perform and performances were flawless, they have loyal, loud and devoted fans, they have stage presence, history and reputation, vocal, rap, dancing skills noticed by respected people in industry. When the comeback song came out fans streamed, when the voting started they vote. When performance began MAMAMOO delivered and shined. It's simple. It works like this. I myself discovered OMG from their different sides in this show. I loved them before but this show made me dive into their albums and search for their pictures. Close to that case I started to appreciate Lovelyz more. I learned all the members and now am a stan. When I heard this kind of show is going to hold, when they revealed the line-up I noticed there are no rookies or unpopular groups, all of them are well-known by me. I expected the show to be the boost, the opportunity for underrated girl groups to get known and become popular. But I guess if Mnet did that the show wouldn't be so popular. I am happy for all the groups and fans to go through this show on a friendly note and no fanwar took place. So many great, iconic, unforgettable performances girls showed. Even if the show won't have a 2nd season we all will remember Queendom as a warm competition, scratch that, opportunity for girl groups to become closer and inspire together.

I know there's road to Kingdom now, but I really want a season two of Queendom. They experimented with eliminations and other things on RTK, but there are so many other girl groups...I know there's popularity and group biases to worry on but I don't just want the competition, I'd love these groups to just interact in this setting, you know? I'm thinking younger groups like Itzy, Dreamcatcher, Cherry Bullet, April, Nature, maybe CLC, or a return group from this season, 9 muses, Apink, Gfriend, Everglow, imagine EXID or even Twice or Red Velvet (if they had a way to negate the huge advantage they would have in fan voting). This type of variety show, where there's a (non-elimination based) competition where it mixes it up enough that it's not always the largest, most popular group that wins...that would be awesome.

PD really put the "thing" that MMM and Idle did it into words: IDLE have really solid, well-executed, cinematic performances. Soyeon's composing, direction, vision-it rarely feel lackluster, she's such a strong artist. Mamamoo really are performers, not just idols. They sing incredibly well and can hype up/acknowledge the audience without taking anything away from the song, which probably contributed to their ranking due to how much of the final was based on audience vote (though I originally thought they'd be worse off because they kept stressing the voting time limit and some fans may not have made up their mind to also vote for MMM after seeing their performance because it was last.) All the finale stages seemed so strong, but MMM and Idle really stuck out.

I just noticed-when MC Da Hee calls on Solar for a comment near the end, even though it's a little zoomed out, you can see her face scrunch up like "oh no...why does the leader always have to comment..." lol

I still want a group promotion just for Guerilla. What a stage.
