We have to delay our LONG format videos (listening parties, road to kingdom, hotel del luna) until next week because of our issues with Vimeo. Please listen to this audio cast (all the way through if you can) to get a full understanding of the situation.

Our short form content (variet, live stages, dance etc) will still come out as usual.

This is a RIDICULOUS reason for us to be in such a predicament but I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for supporting me, even if it does come with a huge price tag hahaha.

All i can think of is opening a torrent site and us downloading the video but im sure youll have the same problem with the bandwidth lol and no worries, i hope a solution can be found ^^

Don't worry too much about the delays, PD. These things can happen and the most important thing for us is that you are letting us know what is happening. Since you are going to be with Dezzy later today, can't you ask him if he has any ideas too? And about the dropbox suggestion I saw, dropbox also has limits for downloads just like google drive. I searched very quickly so I don't know how much it is but for all these services I believe some kind of limit will always exist unfortunately.

I don't know if you saw my DM but I recommended to contact Dropbox Business and Vidyard. Some of my Friends are currently using these 2 to upload their Content and never had any problems with them. They also mostly upload Videos between 2-4 Hours in length and have a lot of Watchers so I hope that might be something for us? At least in the meantime.

please don't feel bad, i think a lot of us can recognize that this situation is very unusual and there's really not a fixed solution, since this hasn't happened to anyone else (at least not to anyone i watch).. :( let's just try different things and figure out what works and what doesn't! don't stress about figuring everything out right away! i really hope from the bottom of my heart that you and your girlfriend will move safely and that you'll be happy in your new home 💜

Wouldnt reducing the quality of the long videos to 720p reduce the used bandwidth by half? I know it is not what you want but it would be for patreons only and we would know why. And if you stream from sites like 123kshow the video quality is terrible anyways. After I researched a bit the price vimeo is offering you (5000 per year) is unfortunately reasonable....

google drive is not an option , pd has used it in the past and with our viewer base here, the videos “get too many viewers/download attempts” and are unable to be viewed anymore by getting locked up, doesn’t make sense- but it is something pd has already tried in the past, it doesn’t work sadly ://

i know why this is a stressful situation for you dude but you don't have to worry about postponing the vids, we understand that this something that is out of your hands and besides it's not like we're gonna grab our pitchforks for some delayed vids😂 and i hope you know that you don't have to stress yourself about immediately finding a solution for this and that you can take your time to figure something out and not have to worry about us, remember that your health is more important than this so don't forget that and take care of yourself bro.

I wonder how BH decides when they block or not. I have seen other listening parties for Seventeen's album that are still up on YouTube and they are listening to the whole album (no cuts) but it could be other issues we well they I am unaware of (like I know why you can't upload dramas and such there). It could also be because you generate a lot more traffic than some of the other listening parties I've seen which would make sense. I unfortunately don't have any good ideas that haven't already been listed. I know Vimeo seems like a lot but might be your best bet for reliable service you know you will have. Hopefully they do payment plans. But in the meantime take your time to really think on what's best. We will be here waiting and supporting. And good luck with the move! Stay safe 💗

So they're averaging only about 20~50 people watching every Patreon video religiously so only a few hundred or so playbacks. On Google Drive, you can only share a video with up to 200 people and then nobody can access it for a while. This is why small creators don't run into issues. This past month on Vimeo we accumulated 59,000+ views. So it's uh, not possible to use Google Drive unfortunately.

I see a lot of people use DropBox for the longer videos. Maybe that will be an option? there is I think some payment involved for it to run smoothly but I don't know if there is a cap on how many views there can be.

Oh Idk if anyone suggested this then hat about just splitting the listening parties into two separate videos? So it makes them short enough to put both parts on Vimeo

I just became a patron a couple of months ago and I had been watching your videos on Youtube for a while, and it was your personality and in-depth reactions to not only the song but the music video too that made me continue to watch and keep up with your videos. You also gave an honest opinion and gave reasons why you liked a song or didn't like it. have you ever think about using ok.ru? I've seen a lot of *coughs* content from variety shows and paid content being host using it by sub fansites! They always do 40+ minutes videos and even long hour concerts.

Have you looked at Floatplane? It's for streaming creators and is created and run by / in the same family of Linus Tech Tips / Linus Media Group. I'm not sure about the copyright issue but they would be able to answer your questions about that directly. They also faced this issue and I don't remember exactly what the end solution was. At first it was a hack/loophole with Google Drive but that wasn't permanent but they still saved tons. I need to find that video thread to review and get back to you if you don't have a chance to reach out to them directly. I'm still listening to the audio so if you mention having already checked out Floatplane, I will go ahead and remove this comment. But they have their own streaming alternative to YouTube but minus the algorithm, so more like how MySpace was I guess.
