Renjun is from Jilin. As far as I know many people there also speak Korean in addition to Mandarin because it borders North Korea. According to Wikipedia: The majority of the province speaks Mandarin, the official language of China. Closer to the east, many people speak Korean. Some people of Qian Gorlos autonomous county speak Mongolian.

Hey PD! Thank you so much for checking this out! I was wondering what you would say since it is a R&B song. Yes, that was Kun btw. I definitely agree with you that Doyoung and Taeil stole the show although the other members were extremely good as well. Also, the From Home members and Make a Wish members went on After Dad Falls Asleep. I hope you can check it out whenever you get a chance! Thanks once again!

Unfortunately XiaoJun is not in this song, so yeah the one you questioned about was Kun. Yeah, RenJun is Chinese 😅. He and ChenLe were (as I like to call them) China Duo of NCT Dream since these two members nobody expected to be in Dream with others, because they were not announced in SMRookies. Speaking of ChenLe, that’s the one you asked about in the rearranged Version. Personaly I truly like From Home. For me these two title tracks od Resonance Pt. 1 (Make a Wish and From Home) are like NCT U’ debut The 7th Sense and Without You, which I literally love!

I laughed so hard when PD said “Renjun’s not Korean?!” It’s kind of an inside joke that pops out sometimes in variety shows because the hosts sometimes don’t realize he’s not Korean either! Also I LOVE Doyoung’s voice, so anytime he shines in a song I’m here for it. I’m waiting for his solo debut like an SMstation song or a mini album. It’ll probably be a couple years since some EXO members in the past year or two just got solo promotions, but I’m a patient stan 😊 He has a couple drama OSTs though! Most are nct u so it’s with at least one other member(and don’t really show his true vocal abilities since the songs aren’t written that way), but the one for Rich Man-Hard For Me is a solo and shows his beautiful falsetto 😇 I really liked that From Home allowed Yuta to show that he can sing too! I feel bad that I never realized he was a good singer but that’s because he isn’t given a lot of lines.

i always laugh when people are shocked that renjun's not korean. but what i heard is that he grew up somewhere near border of north korea and went to school that uses korean. hence his korean is very good. nct also jokes around sometimes saying renjun's korean is better than mark lol and yes that's kun. xiaojun is in make a wish also this song is just made for doyoung and taeil's voice

From Home made so many NCTzens cry when it came out!! The song is about the foreign line of NCT U (like more than half) finding their new home with each other as a group. And it's definitely emotional! I love this song so much. I generally don't like slower songs, but this one hits so much more. And god, their vocals are amazing!

NCT have really been a powerhouse this year and From Home kind of feels like to me like the conclusion of a great year and a great full 2020 23 member project. When I hear the song I just feel happy like I'm wrapped up in a warm blanket in front of the fire place. I'm really looking forward to what all the NCT units bring next year as well as how the two new members will be incorporated. People are speculated an NCT unit will be on Kingdom so perhaps we'll get to see them show some stunning performances very soon!

This song makes me cry every time! I love the original version more because they cut out Chenle's entire verse in the rearranged version 😭Other than that, this song is actually the perfect song when you live away from home!

I'm catching up on old reactions... I thought I was past the crying @ from home rearranged version but nope, one look at baby jisung and I'm a mess lol. I feel like the rearranged version has so much SOUL and rawness and you can't help but get swept up by the swell of emotion. But I agree that both are amazing and it's a matter of preference - if I'm in the mood to feel many emotions I'd choose the rearranged lol

fun fact about Renjun, he actually had to learn Korean twice because the korean that he learned as a child growing up where he did was not the standard dialect so he relearned it when he joined SM and kczennies have pointed out instances where he doesn't use a typical word for things like bowls but rather either a dialect word or a very dated term.
