I'm writing this at the start of the episode fyi So I think Sooah is definitely dumb and stubborn, and she has a really shitty negative way of looking at the world, but I believe her perspective, as she stated in earlier episodes, is that she hates being pitied and hates being looked down on. She seems to think that people are only helping her because they pity her and want to do a good deed, not because they actually care, and she sees that as disrespectful, it's like they're just using her to feel good about themselves. I think this is why Saeroyi gives her a hard time, because deep down he's not selfish and isn't doing it out of pity, and that doesn't match up with her world view, and she wishes he was selfish like everyone else because it's easier for her to believe that no one can be trusted. So she's trying to make him hate her so he doesn't keep confusing her and making her doubt her principles.

Your commentary at the end captures why people love or hate this show. Saeroyi story is why certain people love this show. While side story between the female leads is why people hate it.

i'm definitely the opposite, i really dislike saeroyi's story and he's only interesting to me when he's interacting with the female leads (less so with sooah, as she annoys me) (even if i don't really like the love story). Or when he's interacting with the other characters. I find him boring on his own or when it deals with him vs the other cooperation. (no hate to the actor, I like him on other dramas).

the finale of this episode is insaneee one of the main reasons i love this show its because they know how to leave you wanting for more and excited for the next episode, i also don't care about the romance part i just love the whole story about saeroyi vs jangga

Catching up on the drama club episodes now and idk I always empathized with Soo Ah a bit more than most other people but that may be due to personal biases/experience. I see her as a jaded character that basically shut herself off from trying to rely on others because she was abandoned so early in her life. I think it doesn't play off that way as easily with only having that one sequence in the flashback but I imagine it stemmed from more constant doubt that she's lived with. The doubt being whether or not people around her truly cared for her or were acting nice out of pity/sympathy for an orphan. And then when she finally finds people that do genuinely care for her out of no other apparent moral obligation, she loses them both and reverts to lone wolf mode and is then shaped by Jangga Co.

I hate it so much that I paid 20 bucks and can't open the ep 5 and 6, so I skip them and go straight to ep 7. This is so annoying. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
