Me getting into Enhypen&Hi expecting happiness and fluff The first few scenes: PAIN But it all goes uphill from here lol, a very relaxing and cute series, like watching puppies taking first steps

Yeah Ni-Ki decided not to watch I-Land with the others (I dont' think he's seen a single episode to this day). Honestly I can't say i blame him for his choice.

What you feel towards K with the whole survival show thing, I how I feel with ChoWon and especially Juhyeon from Lightsum. Followed Juyheon through 2 survival shows! and now everyone gets to see the BEAST dancer ive been seeing since 2016/2017 when I first came across her

I felt the same way you did! I was surprised when this came out that they LITERALLY picked up where the finale left off. I thought that was really cool. For Ni-ki, I thought it may have been because he was only 14 when this was filmed and he needed to sleep for that first night at the dorms, but also I know I-land was really hard on him and with K not making it into the group too, so I figured it may have been a combo of those things. I’m glad they gave them a break right after that first day or so with no cameras so they could decompress with their families for a couple days. I’m glad you’re checking out this series!

i felt wary of the fact that they filmed RIGHT after the survival show. I feel like it's a special time and moment and i wanted them to enjoy the moment or be sad if they were sad...it's kind of cool to see that process but i wish that was THEIR moment.

I think this is one of the nicest idol dorms i've ever seen, definitely the nicest newly debuted dorm i've seen. txt apparently have a really really nice dorm too, taehyun keeps saying the fridge is big enough to lock yeonjun in lol. they each have their own room with the exception of taehyun and kai, but they apparently have a master bedroom with it's own bathroom and balcony to themselves. hybe money is a different level.

I don’t want to say he had the hardest time because everyone went through a tough time but I think of the ILAND winners at least, Niki went through the hardest journey emotionally because he’s so young and yeah that makes sense, I wouldn’t want to watch myself being a “teenager”.

Aww, they already have their own rooms? Man, I feel like I've been so out of touch with TXT content lately. As in, "inside" content. I remember when they just debuted and shared a room between the five of them :3

i really like that they filmed right after the results because it's rare that we get to see their real thoughts and feelings after debuting, although i wouldn't have been mad if they decided to keep it hidden. i also really liked what you said about jungwon being the leader over heeseung, recently enhypen went on idol challenge (i believe) and shindong asked why jungwon was the leader over heeseung, not in a malicious way but just in a "explain it to us/the audience because people do still have this old way of thinking" and i think it's important to remember that it's really beneficial to not have the oldest be the leader.

I'm so happy you're checking this out and I was all ready to come with a long comment about how this show is set in such a unique time frame right after I land ended and you took the words right out of my mouth less than 10 minutes in. I really feel like with survival shows the finale happens some months go by and then you start getting content from the group once they've had some time to really meld and get used to things and of course there is some benefit in giving them that time privately but I just think this is so fascinating to see how they feel on the first day or even first weeks of becoming a group.

I read somewhere that there are few shots of Ni-Ki in this series bc there is a law that you can't film younger minors after like 10 pm or something? Not sure if that's true but there are some moments when he is clearly present just outside the frame but no direct shots of him.

It's a child labor law. Kids of a certain age (perhaps until legal adult age) are not allowed to work in production past a certain time (prevents overworking kids who might be too afraid to speak up if they're being overworked). I'm surprised Korea abides by those same laws given that Korea is a pretty overworking/abusive society even to children.
