I got some pretty difficult news last night.

My partner and assistant, whom you all may know as Blaire, is visiting her family and contracted COVID-19.

The surge of anger I felt for the irresponsible who caused this to happen, the wave of sadness I felt in fear for her health, and the guilt I felt because I couldn’t get past my anger and sadness to console her…

The tremendous fear of losing someone is a first for me. And I can shrug off anything but my fear of death is…irrational. If you’re new or you didn’t know, the reason why I founded FORM OF THERAPY was because of my own brash with nearly dying, and my inability to cope with it.

Blaire is vaccinated but that doesn’t mean it’s all great news. She is returning in the beginning of August once she clears a COVID test but to be responsible we will place her in quarantine for 10 days in our home. I am incredibly high risk, and even vaccinated we just can’t chance it.

With that said July was already a difficult month, a numerous mix of issues like our AC breaking twice during a record breaking summer heatwave and our Internet breaking down several times (it went down again yesterday during the start of our stream and has been down ever since), I have been unable to film any of our August content.

I was going to just fight through it in August but… this news broke me. Imagine being paranoid and taking every precaution because you have an insane fear of death so COVID was the #1 priority… and then your worst fears come true. I wish I could shake this anxiety but I can’t. Not until we can absolutely secure and make sure it is out of her system.

My parents told me to just take a month sabbatical, a hiatus for the sake of my sanity. But what my parents don’t get, what I don’t think a lot of people get, is that there is a REASON I built our channel and our Patreon to this point: I actually love doing this for you all. So much so that I am actually ADDICTED to being a workaholic. Blaire can attest to this. My mental health actually spirals out of control whenever I am not working. It’s my purpose. And when I don’t work I feel like I’m letting everyone down. (But then when I do work, I overwork myself and cause my health to deteriorate and hate myself so it’s just a giant paradox.)

So here’s my compromise.

It’s true. I’m tired but that’s never stopped me. But my mental health took a major hit in July due to all the things going on with this move, and this news has only worsened it. I’m not really in a mood to laugh. I’m not really in a mood to feel joy. But I do need… something.

So for August SUMMER VARIETY content we’ll be pausing SOME of our ongoing series. Not all of them, and frankly I don’t know which ones yet, and I’ll have a concrete list for you soon (before the 31st when your subscriptions auto-renew).

For August I want to temporarily change things up and do new content and check out some different things. What do I mean by that? Well frankly, one of the biggest healing things for me lately has been BTS IN THE SOOP. That honestly changed my life man. It’s a very relaxing and healing show. I would love more “healing” shows so PLEASE comment below with your suggestions. I will continue some stuff, and some stuff I may only do one or two episodes of. Some shows I will put on PAUSE until September.

August will have less content but please know that with the rest of my time I will be both taking care of Blaire and also handling moving all on my own so I’ll still have my hands pretty full.

Please leave your suggestions down below for some “healing” content and tomorrow I will be posting our August schedule. I am posting it early so that YOU can determine whether you want to continue your August patronage or skip the month.

Everyone please stay safe. Please stay vigilant. I know many in the rest of the parts of the world still don’t have access to vaccines. Please be safe.

Pls stay safe PD and Blaire!!

NatalieA_OT7

The BTS Bon Voyage’s are so healing to me idk about anyone else! I love to just watch people enjoy themselves and it’s just like In The Soop!! A lot of them driving and talking

Malaki.H

We will be here for you ❤❤

SanjA1800

Stay safe PD that's all that matters. And Blaire get well soon!

Metalstryke

I liked running girls, don't know if you did that already, or 3 meals a day was also nice (I think that what's it called) were a few celebrities are dumped to the countryside and have to cook for themselves with the things they have there and can get nearby or from their farm, I liked that a lot and it also was kinda healing ^^ Also hope blaire gets better and also your health and sanity stays/ will get better in the next weeks again 😊 Edit: sorry didn't know he did running girl, he is releasing so much, I probably just never saw that he also had released that😂

haeun

i really want to recommend hyori's bed and breakfast for you. its a really nice show and i feel like you would find the healing you want from it.

Sian Hoy

Omg......im so sorry to hear this, and I truly hope the Blair is still in any way doing alright, and PD, we will ALWAYS be here for you, ALWAYS will we be here to receive whatever is it you give. Please take care of yourself and I TRULY hope for the best for both of you💕

miranda

Yeah this is a great healing series especially if you liked In The Soop

Juno

Jaeyoon and E-tion: Udangtangtang friends. for now there is 4 ep. subbed on YT: [ENG SUB] 우당탕탕 프렌즈 | EP.01 카페 대(?)소동 I SF9 재윤 & 온앤오프 이션의 우당탕탕 모먼트 I Full Ver. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTkyGoR6Sn4

ria bee

I'm so sorry to hear that PD! I hope everything turns out okay! I'd recommend One Dream TXT on Youtube! It's not too long and it follows them during their US Showcase tour in 2019 and it's very wholesome 💖

eli_nhdoaek

Take your time PD! I will pray for a speedy recovery. If I can recommend healing variety shows, although not idol based, is It’s Dangerous Outside the Blankets. Just a bunch of homebuddies being stuck together 😅 Although the next BTS variety which is Bon Voyage is also healing since it’s a travel vlog. Other idol based content I could think of is BTS’ documentaries like Burn The Stage (follows then behind their tours) or Wanna One Go Zero Base.

Rohsyeons

I haven’t watched IN THE SOOP, so i’m honestly not sure what the show is like, but twice’s current season of TTT has had hella healing vibes for me. no games, no challenges, just them chilling out, hanging out, cooking and having fun. i believe the staff told them to literally do whatever they wanted. but if someone wants to let me know what type of show IN THE SOOP is, i’d be able to better recommend more things.

Via

Personally, MAMAMOO's 3 Meals a Day series were really healing to me. It's a really nice and peaceful show with the girls just relaxing in a place away from all the noise and just enjoying each other's presence. Here's the link to episode 1: https://youtu.be/YvsuY8jIsH8

BaoziBang

Healing Shows? I'm on it! Those are my favs! I highly recommend It's dangerous beyond the Blanket. There are the Pilot Episodes (4 if I remember right) and then a season with I think 8 or 10 episodes. It's about homebodies (idols, actors, athletes ec) living together and because it's basically just introverts it's one of the chillest shows ever. Also, it has Xiumin, kang daniel, Mark from NCT and more people in it.

Juno

Also ONF new reality show is airing on YT from August 10th :)

Krista

I'm sorry to hear that PD, I can completely empathise with you being overwhelmed with anger with those who allowed this to continue the way it has. So many people being ignorant, selfish and irresponsible during a time where we most need to put aside our own wants and even needs for the greater good. I truly hope Blaire and her family make a easy recovery and I'm glad you're making sure you stay as safe as possible even if it might not be what your heart wants to do, in the long run of course your heart will thank you once you are able to be reunited safely. I hope you get the reccomendations you need, unfortunately I can't think of anything but l know exactly what you mean by healing shows, they can really take you away from the worries of the world or make you accept them more peacefully. Best wishes to you and Blaire 💖 it won't last forever.

Alice Owi

Sorry PD and plsss stay safe you and Blaire. Hope you can watch ONEUS ONEWE Snack Bar variety show. At least is funny and relax.

Y

I hope you and yours feel better soon. If you enjoy BTS in the soop bonvoyage is a good pace as well. As for your personal health Mono playlist by RM helped me alot because it was not forced happiness it was still sad and dark but a nudge in the right direction. I really do hope you recover from this hit soon. Its okay to just feel for a while but don't let it keep you down.

s3nsi

I think things like Time to Twice Healing Camp or Paris et ITZY is very healing and relaxing at least it was for me so I‘d recommend that

Marit G

I would say that the New Zealand one was really relaxing to see!!

Holly

wish Blaire a speedy recovery and that both of you can stay safe! as for shows, I really enjoyed running girls! a lot of wholesome interactions and a lot of positive vibes. other than that, since you like mafia games i recommend the boyz's prince game that's 3 episodes! idk if i would necessarily classify it as 'healing', but if you like mafia games it may be healing/fun for you! wishing you all the best <3

Sara Espinosa Amorós

Hope everything goes well and you keep healthy 💕 I will speak for myself and what makes me feel peaceful and healed. NCT Dream Mental Camp. It talks about Mental Health and how the guys treat their own health as Idols, and it felt so healing to me. NCT Life has a lot of seasons but the ones that make me feel healed are Hot and Young season, the one with the foreign members and the last NCT season that was aired, where they went to Chuncheon because it was fun and healing, during promotions. As for another series that are completely healing is EXO Ladder S2 specially. It’s truly the best verity show I have watched, I can truly say that. It’s fun, wholesome, a lot of food, chill. But it’s just some suggestions. 💕 have a nice day

TheFashionBarbie

Super sorry to her that I hope all turns out well. In terms of healing content red velvets level up project is a pretty soothin fair for me , or maybe itzy,s Paris et itzy it's a pretty chill time

eli_nhdoaek

TXT TalkxToday is another healing show that I watch in the background whenever I get stressed. It’s their daily life and behind the scenes story of them preparing for their comebacks.

Harley

I’m so sorry to hear about Blaire. I hope she recovers fast and you both stay safe. I understand the wanting to changed content and if you do need to take a break please do! Some suggestions off the top of my head I think Bon Voyage has healing elements since they are traveling and seeing new places but it can get a little silly so I get if you want to wait to start it. But at least the first two seasons (S1 is backpacking europe and S2 is Hawaii) maybe they’ll be a nice content since it’s not really hype. Day6 did the one time season of Day6 Real Trip in Jeju which was nice to watch. I’ve heard about Hiyori’s Bed and Breakfast being nice which of course is about Lee Hiyori and her life in Jeju Also don’t hesitate to live-stream just to talk or hang out if you need company! We’ll be here

CRAYON weiwen

IZ*ONE and Apink will bless you and Blaire, everything will be ok.

Harley

PD did running girls already! You can find it in the tag

Rohsyeons

Another show I’ve enjoyed recently is fromis’ recent show, i believe it’s called “from 2 meals” and like the recent TTT that i mentioned earlier, it’s just them hanging out, talking, cooking and it’s really chill and nice to watch. plus fromis have members who are practically master chefs, so the food looks really good. jisun was literally Baek Jongwon approved.

No Sana No Life

My go-to healing content is definitely TWICE TV5 in Switzerland! It always puts me in a good mood

Doyoungismyult

Welcome 2 house with TO1 and EPEX is another amazing series that was super healing and beautiful to watch. There friendship was so cute to see develop. https://youtu.be/JlOgHbPxveA

Mira S

Stay safe PD! I hope Blair goes through a smooth and fast recovery❤️🥺 If you want something healing I definitely recommend “The Boyz Flower Snack” its 8 episodes and from their predebut days (concept -they start a snack shop business from scratch in order to meet their fans and other fun clients)

Krista

I will say the most healing show I've watched is Lee Hyori's bed and breakfast I'm just not sure it's what you'd want for your channel but I definitely reccomend it for some peaceful escapism 💖

Doyoungismyult

If you really want something amazing and healing then I highly recommend KBOP star. It is one of my favorite shows. Idol groups go on it and eat and sometimes play games, and just have fun. https://youtu.be/2VLNfYQfM_U

Kim Chaewon

Itzy Et Paris and Bts Bon voyages. Season 1 of bon voyage is a bit chaotic and high energy but from season 2 onwards its very healing and relaxing since that’s what they’re doing too

Doyoungismyult

I also highly recommend checking out the new episode of Weekly Idol with SF9. It is so so funny and I was crying from tears 🤣

Maria

Hope things turn out well for you in the end. The healing show I'd recommend is Hyori's Guest House. It has Lee Hyori and IU in season one and SNSD Yoona in season two.

Upshot

I hope Blaire is well! For healing content, there are for example the Time To Twice series „Healing Camp“ and „TDOONG Forest“. And an older show ‚Secret Unnie‘: It’s made by the same team that produced Running Girls. It’s basically two women (mostly but not all idols), who don’t know each other that well, spending time together. I don’t want to spoil the pairings, but for example Sunmi, Yeri, Seulgi, Hyoyeon, Hani and many more are part of this. (But not all pairs are shown at the same time, so some are only in a few episodes)

Mira S

+ or any bon voyage season or going seventeen 2019 TTT camping version (3 episodes, chaotic but just as healing)

Neelam Shahnaz

Hi pd, when u said a healing show, one series came to mind. Please check out Begin Again, it has 4 seasons. I would really recommend you to begin with season 3 first. The whole vibe and aesthetics of the whole show is just so calming and really soothing especially when they cover songs. Its about a group of singers in korea gng overseas and busking. I really would love it if you would check out Begin Again.

billie27

Totally understand, health always comes first ! For some healing suggestion, I would recommend "Paris et ITZY" it's a 5 episodes where the members of ITZY are visiting Paris. It was very healing for me, especially since I watch it during quarantine and Paris got the romantic and calm vibes, lol. The length of each episode are around 50 minutes, and they're all available on YouTube, so it's pretty easy to watch.

Emelie Wallin

I will stick around for as long as you make videos. I hope Blairs recovery goes well and I hope that you are ok❤❤

autumnie

Personally Time To Twice Healing Camp is one of my favorites from the series, I watched it while I was having some hard times, so I would definitely recommend it. Stay strong pd, and thanks for letting us know

N

i think NCT DREAM in WONDERLAND 2020 can be a healing show for you🥺🍃☀️🌬 "the members escape the city to enjoy beautiful nature and thrilling activities. They will also be surprised with various strange events that occur during the course of their trip."

Jenny

Im so sorry to hear that…one recent drama that changed my life and a lot of other people’s here in korea is HOSPITAL PLAYLIST. Season 2 is airing right now but starting with season 1 might be a bit better. In a hospital where both life and death take place, it is such an eye opening show that really touches your heart and moves you into emotions you didnt even know you had. It isnt exactly driven by a direct plot and instead showcases different stories of different patients so it isnt heavy at all to keep up with either. I would absolutely LOVE to watch this drama with you and i think many of your other patrons will enjoy it immensely as well!! Sending all love to Blaire🥰

Merlin

I really hope everything works out fine PD, take care! Something I find healing and go back to alot is "NCT Life season 9 in chuncheon and hongcheon". It's available on Vlive. 6 of the 127 members go on a trip and do some different activities.

Emma Ko

A hiatus is definitely something that you deserve! No need to feel bad about not being able to put out content. Your health (both mentally and physically) comes first. Your loved ones come first. A series that I enjoyed is WEi's OUI GO UP season 2 (it's pretty similar to NCT Dream's 7illn'). There are 10 episodes (they're about 20-25 minutes each). The show is basically where they go to a resort-ish place for a couple of days for vacation. It might be the same location that the NCT Dream show was filmed. It's pretty relaxed show & you really get to know the members too! Plus I know you mentioned wanting to get into WEi so here's your chance :)

Amanda Araujo

i hope Blaire is doing well and fully recovers from it soon!! for the shows someone said A.C.E On The Road and i also recommend it! it's very much like the stuff you're looking for, it's kinda short but it has this relaxing yet entertaining vibe like BTS in the Soop

Marcia

They did running girls :) edit: oh somebody already wrote that, sorry it wasn't updated as I wrote the comment my internet sucks Oh and btw. PD uses they/them pronouns :)

chelsey

Also... Speaking of IU, if you want a healing DRAMA, then My Mister is the absolute best imo. But you'll have to go through some pain to get to the healing lol.

Jenny

On a side note BTS documentaries like burn the stage, bring the soul etc are also very inspiring as well The korean variety show Begin Again is also soooo healing…a lot of famoud artists come together and experience the busking scene in foreign countries

Annika

Sorry to hear that. I hope everything will work out eventually and please always take as much time as you need. Health always comes first. Also judging from how much you loved in the soop I think you'd love bon voyage 4, they're obviously doing a bit more activities but just the whole atmosphere being surrounded by so much nature, with bts' personality is amazing. Also spoiler theres lots of cooking and longggg car drives as well hahah

Skie

I hope everything gets better for you PD, I will pray for Blair and her family to get a speedy recovery. To me, Treasure Map has been healing content since last year, everyone has been struggling a lot more because of the pandemic and I am no exception. I just watch one of the episodes whenever I feel so crippled by anxiety attacks, this show has helped me to get rid of negative thoughts a lot of time. But it's different for everyone so you choose the contents that are most healing to you Pd. Stay safe, hoping for the best for you and your loved ones.

SNBangtan

Sorry to hear you're having some troubles and I hope Blaire gets better soon. I just want to say that most BTS content could be called "healing." They're just really sincere, good people and it comes across when you watch them just be together. Bon Voyage 4 feels a lot like In the Soop. They're in New Zealand and camping so it's a lot of nature and home cooking and friendship. That would be a good option. It really does sound strange to say but In The Soop really helped me through the pandemic era. Made me feel a lot less lonely. People think we're exaggerating when we way BTS changed our lives but there's just something about them. The Bangtan Effect is real.

Nick

I recommend TIME TO TWICE Healing camping. Literally has healing in the name and it’s pretty healing indeed. I don’t think it’s that important to watch all the TTTs in order cuz they’re vastly different. IMO the first two seasons are the most mediocre ones.

EmmyD610

Nct had a 2 episodes serie of Johnny Taeil and Jungwoo going camping that I found very healing. It is called Chilling Mukping. And if you liked In The Soop you sould enjoy the BTS Bon Voyage in New Zealand, I tought it had the same soothing vibes. I hope Blaire gets well soon ! Stay Healthy PD !!

N

also wanna add nct dream mental camp as well

Caitlin

for in the soop they basically let bts stay in a house next to a lake n mountains in korea n do whatever they wanted like painting, fishing, cooking, wood carving n much more

Manon

I really think that Bon Voyage (starting from the first season) is a great choice. It's a bit more dynamic than in the shop but other than that it's the same feeling just overseas. also it helps see them grow as individuals and a team. I think Run BTS isn't the best as of know and the situation but the BE album and their Sound cloud releases could help. Their documentaries (movies and series) are also a great insight of what BTS is but since it's based around their Tour I don't know if you'll find it healing. I really hope everything will be ok for you and your partner

Dianne

PD, why don't you try a Korean healing variety show just for a change as well..

billie27

NCT Dream Mental Camp was really good ! It was nice to see this part of the group

Ewtio

I find the Sea of Hope very healing which is the point of the show. It is described as "a healing program where celebrities will present their own music and homemade dishes at a live bar next to the mysterious and beautiful sea. The variety show revolves around three key words: sea, bar, and wish. The guests who visit will be able to get out of their daily lives and spend a special day with the cool ocean, music, and delicious food." You saw a clip from it on the last stream, Rosé doing a cover of Dancing in a burning room. The main cast is Lee Ji Ah (the actress from Penthouse), Lee Dong Wook, Kim Go Eun (both from Goblin), Onew (Shinee), Lee Suhyun (AKMU) and Yoon Jong Shin. Rosé also appears as a guest numerous times and there are other guests as well. It comes out weekly, 5 episodes are already out, other 5 are coming.

WWKey42

Stray Kids fandom tour is really goood

duckiehyunie

I’m sorry to hear that ❤️ Get well soon Blaire!

Daniela

First of all i'm sorry that this is happening to you and Blaire. I hope and imagine that things are going to get better with time, so of course take your time. Stay safe and i whish Blaire a good and speedy recovery and everyone else. Also i know other people already said this but Bon Voyage is pretty healing, specialy season 4 (and season 1 not so much (imo)).

Izak

This is so sad to hear, life has not been kind to you guys recently, hoping for Blaire to have a speedy recovery and for you guys to stay safe. healing content: -it's dangerous being the blankets ( an all time favourite of mine, it's a bunch it Korean male celebrities including idols like , Kang Daniel, Mino, loco, NCT mark, xiumin, a young athlete, ikon June etc, the cast changes depending on the episode but it's basically just them going on vacations together with people they didn't really know well before and it's really just enjoyable and nice to watch) It's on kshow123 but also Viki ( although it's not available in my region) - SKZ VLOG series ( it's on YouTube and it's literally just the members vlogging some of their days , the episodes aren't too long and they're quite nice to watch, especially the vlogs with their pets or family and friends in them) https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2HLJ87twWI2LtBbGVL-JAB6NCtv8EBx- - all night skz or skz mysterious kitchen, all night skz is 4 members struggling with sleep and them doing activities because they can't sleep well and mysterious kitchen is about is 3 members cooking https://youtu.be/-NTjD_Z6zkw https://youtu.be/65J56znZVpw - superband Only episodes 1-4 and ep 8 are subtitled ( and tl find those subbed Episodes u have to get them from twitter 🥴 unsubbed is on kshow123 tho and still so worth the watch, I think even if u were to react to it people would still enjoy it a lot without subs because it's that good) seems like a competition show wouldn't be very healing but the performances on that show and nice friendly atmosphere really was so healing for me, the serotonin boost I got from that show was amazing, I just loved seeing such talented and creative people work together and produce things that I didn't even know could be produced, someone on the show literally turned a games controller into a musical instrument, truly such an amazing watch) - exo ladder season 2 I haven't watched season 1 but I imagine it's just as good and it's just exo-cbx for that season) but season 2 was a lot of fun and entertaining, it's exo traveling, eating and playing games, a really nice watch and it was personally really healing - p1harmony sessak Harmony There are only a few episodes right now and maybe it's just because I really like p1harmony but it made me laugh a lot so I included it as healing content https://youtu.be/x-SK8RrqKK4 - Johnny's communication center Tbh NCT have so much healing content on their channels for me but the one that's a proper series is JCC and it's really just so nice, and funny and you'll really just fall in love with Johnny more ( note that it starts on their NCT daily channel but they stopped using that channel and now it's posted on their main channel) https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6MnJonp7_1kdtIRrzCv_M_RX-_6ktj0E - Lucy 미니게임 천국 There are like 6 episodes I think it's Lucy plying mini games, it's cute and funny, not sure what else to say really, it's just healing in that way https://youtu.be/a8NSg6f0se4 - if u don't feel like watching all of superband here are some of my favourite performances, most aren't on the Jtbc channel cause they took them down but they did concert performances of some and some are on YouTube with still images rather than the actual video: 1000x - superband Jtbc took it off of YouTube but I have it on Google drive and it's on naver https://drive.google.com/file/d/1f1O61DnVa1ogvfp8ZpEMGDwAPjnws9Jt/view?usp=drivesdk Wooing- moné Woosung from the rose is in this with others from superband High quality: https://youtu.be/W3q4x-lNzss Live Concert footage: https://youtu.be/0xpZqfCdrg8 creep - sizzle_flower

Why don't you marathon and finish In The Soop since you said it's been healing you....

Hanna Paquette

While not an idol show the drama "I'll go to you when the weather is nice" is a very healing show. It has a very calm and healing vibe and made me feel calm too while watching it.

Khusboo Kaithia

I am sorry to hear that. Please take your time and take care. If I have to recommend something in terms of healing then Time to Twice healing camp can be watched. I am not sure as everyone has their own opinions regarding every group so it might be not as much healing for others. But it helped me a lot cause in that series all they did was just doing camping stuff and doing their own things, no rush , no script. So it was kinda healing to me watching them doing random things without being told. And it could be also a good series for you PD as you have been interested in knowing the behind the camera Twice. But its upto you! whatever feels better for you. I will leave the teaser link for the series. Another recommendation which i wanna add is Running girls, I am sure that will for sure heal you. The main concept of that show was to show the different side of idols. The show have Chuu, Sunmi, Hani, Yooa, Chung ha . Stay safe and I hope you will be strong enough to overcome this phase. Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9Xu42SVXqQ

Mari

I really recommend Little Forest! It features Lee Seunggi, Jung Somin, Park Narae, and Lee Seojin taking care of kids in a setting very similar to In the Soop. When I first saw In the Soop it really reminded me of Little Forest, and they have very similar vibes. Just a sweet feel-good show in nature. I wish you and your partner the best.

SYFG

I agree Superband is some of the best content out there. No facade just talented people performing to the best of their ability.

Caitlin

What I find as healing shows are like the nature and cooking shows so like Three meals a day or like little house in the forest always relax me We are all here for you and hope this helps!

ab_igor

Not sure if this counts as “healing” content but NCT Johnny’s series called Johnny’s Communication Center is really relaxing to me! Most of the episodes are on the NCT Daily channel

Themomoface

I really hope Blaire gets well soon. And i know there is nothing that i can say would alleviate your anxiety ..so i would just pray to god to give you strength to get through this.

Isabella N.

hopefully Blaire will get well soon and not have too bad of a time. my mom got covid last november at her job, and she recently decided to quit since the working conditions there have aggravated the asthma she recently developed (because of covid). my dad has been really frustrated, possibly more than my mom herself, since we’ve all been so responsible and yet she still got it due to other people’s irresponsibility. as for healing shows, bon voyage is similar to in the soop. personally, i’m someone who usually turns to upbeat content that’ll make me happy or laugh as a distraction, so treasure map has gotten me through a lot (the mix of chaotic, action packed episodes with the calmer vlog episodes is also nice)

Themomoface

Even i would suggest Bon Voyage . Though it might be a bit different from in the soop but i still found it to be very healing.

EC

I'm sorry to hear of your plight PD. If you want a healing show, I highly recommend season one of Lee hyori's bed and breakfast with IU. It is the most healing variety ever.

Aysha

I’m sorry to hear that 😞

Aysha

bts bon voyage season 1 to 4 are pretty great shows for healing. I highly recommend watching them

Luna

(Re-posting because I don't believe my comment posted correctly) Hi PD, I'm very sorry to hear what has been happening. It's upsetting how people's poor decisions can impact other lives in such a negative way. I hope Blaire will have a speedy recovery and that both she and her family will be able to get through this troubling time as best as they possibly can. I can't imagine the emotions that you are feeling right now but I know how it feels to worry about the safety of my loved ones, so I am truly sorry. As for healing shows, I can recommend a few. Hyori's bed and breakfast, it helped me relax when I was extremely stressed and on edge. BTS's Bon Voyage, is healing especially in the later seasons. I don't know what shows you will put on hold, but I know that TXT's to do is a comedic show so I thought I would recommend another show of theirs you might enjoy. I've seen people recommend One Dream, but I also really enjoy Talk x Today, which gives more insight into the members throughout their different eras, even having a season that showed their pre-debut stage, while being presented in a calmer and personal format than to do.

TowerST

Maybe you could react to SKZ Song Camp. It‘s not finished yet but it will only have 5 episodes. Just yesterday the fourth episode came out. The fifth one will come out next week so it will be finished by August. The members are split in unites and make songs while just talking and having fun. It’s pretty healing for me. The episodes are on their Youtube channel.

Macie

I agree with Hyori's bed and breakfast! Both season 1 and 2 are very relaxing/healing. Season 1 has IU as an employee and season 2 has Yoona and Park Bo Gum (only for part of the season) as employees.

Macie

It's Dangerous Beyond The Blankets is such a cute show!

Barbara

Youth over flowers - Australia. Winner traveling to Australia and just enjoying the trip, is 4 episodes I think. One Fine Day - Seventeen (my first SVT variety, is from 2016 so they are BABIES, they left them on a small coast village and they just cook and go fishing and it’s just nice but it’s 9 episode long) I think SHINEE also did this show.

Migs

2 days 1 night season 4 is my go to show when I just want funny and wholesome content

Jana

So sorry to hear that, I completely understand that fear I still am irrationally scared of COVID despite being vaccinated and relatively young and there’s just nothing people can say to make that go away. But I sincerely hope that Blaire does not experience any major symptoms and recovers quickly! If you’re looking for something similar to In The SOOP, I can really recommend BTS Bon Voyage Season 4. I remember watching that show when COVID first started and it really helped easy my anxiety! I also find their tour documentaries quite soothing to watch but I don’t necessarily know if they would classify as healing but either way I hope you find some shows to watch and don’t stress too much about posting for August! :)

Julianne

I know you want to do the Bon Voyage series in order so this isn't so much a suggestion but just food for thought -- I personally feel like the vibe closest to In the Soop is prob BV 4 for me. It's the most chill and relaxing of all the BV seasons. Other than that... for chill healing, I mostly watch the chinese version of Please Take Care of my Refrigerator (aka Go Fridge) but idk if that's stuff you'd watch or put on your channel lol.

dodo_bird

I’m so sorry to hear what had happened. I hope and pray that Blaire has a speedy recovery and that her family will be able to get through it. A show that is definitely healing in my opinion is Hyori’s Bed & Breakfast, where Lee Hyori and her husband run a B&B on Jeju island. They have celebrity guests that act as employees at the B&B, in season 1 IU was an employee and for season 2 they had Yoona and Park Bogum. It is so relaxing, and you get to see a lot of different stories about the people who stay at the B&B which I personally love. The show used to be on Netflix but sadly got taken off for me at least but I’m sure it’s on Viki. There is also Youn’s Kitchen ! Where celebrities run a restaurant in a foreign country and see if they can run it smoothly. The cast consist of Youn Yuh Jung, Lee Seo Jin and Jung Yu Mi. It’s really calming despite the premise of it, and I think it’s due to the beautiful locations that the team choose and also just the bond that the cast have together. I personally recommend season 2 of Youn’s Kitchen (Youn’s Kitchen 2) because 1) it has Park Seo Joon (aka Sae-ro-yi in Itaewon Class) as a employee hehe and 2) i personally like the location where they stayed in better than season 1. I’m most definitely sure that this show is on Viki as well !

jiminycricket

Below is Taemin on a retreat in the woods by himself. It was before his “Criminal” promotions. You get to see him some small challenges and make photo memories. https://youtu.be/zrQqwTuJ9IA

Barbara

Also, maybe not kpop but Three Meals a Day is really easy to watch, just 3-4 people cooking and living in a small country house. Another show I found really funny and easy to watch was Kang Kitchen, is the cast of New Journey To The West opening a restaurant with Kang Ho Dong as the main chef.

EmberRain

Hey PD, I'm sorry hear that lovely Blaire is sick and the poor status of your mental health. My recommendation for healing content is Stray Kids newer show SKZ Song Camp - Howl in Harmony, if thats something you would be interested in. If it helps at all, I went through an intense covid scare at the beginning of this month. One of my roommates had it (by some miracle I didn't) and her and her boyfriend continued life like normal for the post part. I still cannot wrap my head around going out in public and inviting people over while someone is positive for covid. I could go on but it was overall just A LOT. Needless to say, my mental health is a joke. It's been weeks and I can't decide if I should never leave my house or stop living. My point is, you are not alone in your fears. Another thing that is helping me currently is John Green's new book The Anthropocene Reviewed. Hang in there, thank you for the update and being there for all of us even during your dark times.

Giu Bressani

Hey PD, so sorry to hear everything you're going through. I know you've said you're not usually an optimistic one, so I'll be it for you. I'm sure Blaire will heal in no time and everything will be okay. For healing shows, a lot of people already mentioned BTS Bon Voyage and I agree, and I'd also suggest A.C.E On The Road. It's just a few episodes of them literally walking around 100 miles in the country and I really love how chill the whole mood is. We are all hoping things will get better soon, with Blaire, with the moving, the internet, the house and with you

Angie

you can skip to twice healing camp which was a few episodes. I also suggest monsta x ilogu or ikon ilogu series. They're short and you can finish them in the month. Idk if you ever watched Seventeen's One Fine Day, but it's 8 episodes.

~j

I’m really sorry to hear about what’s happened to Blaire and everything else that’s been impacting you both. For healing shows, I recommend Astro Zone. It recently just finished. It’s an 8 episode (15ish minutes each) variety show located on Astro’s Youtube channel. In this, Astro go on a 2 days 1 night trip to help them relax after their recent comeback. I feel the show is very chill and fun as Astro was able to do what they wanted to do. The members even said that when filming it didn’t feel like they were filming a variety show as it was so relaxing and free for them.

Victoria Medina

I agree! The Bon Voyage series are all very good and healing if you liked In the Soop. New Zealand and Malta in particular, but Hawaii as well!

JustADaileeeThing

I've seen several people reccomend it but Hyori's Bed & Breakfast really changed my life. I was in a really bad place but this show helped me realize the little things in life and appreciate them a lot more. It helped me distract myself from the things around me and became a very healing space.

JustADaileeeThing

Hyori's Bed & Breakfast is an amazingly healing show. I had initially just watched it for IU but fell in love with the show as a whole. One of the most mentally and spiritually healing shows I've ever watched.

Hanabicarat

Awwn. I hope both blaire and PD gets through this safely. Get well soon blaire. And honestly as long as PD do not overwork and stress yourself out i am fine with some changes. I dont really know much vaireity content outside of IZ*ONE and SEVENTEEN related stuff. But i would like to suggest SIXTH SENSE. I dont know if u could call it healing, but sure made be enjoy and laugh through each episode. Honestly i havnt enjoyed a show like this in a long time JESSI and YOO JAE SUK are in this along with MI JOO, NARA, JEON SO MI. I GURANTEE LOTS OF SMILING AND LAUGHS 😉 Another i would like to recommend is all GOING SEVENTEEN "TTT" EPISODES. they have a "TTT" episode EVERY GOING SEVENTEEN SEASON and its just them relaxing, playing games and just having fun.(its sort of a them on an MT TRIP) I honestly consider the TTT episodes as healing, atleast in my view.

Gloria Kwangunu

NCT Johnny’s communication center, I wouldn’t necessarily consider it a variety its more of johnny finding activities to do with members and step out of their comfort zone. https://youtu.be/byoFWzX-3ks

hayun lee

sorry to hear about everything, and i hope for the best for you, blaire, and her family. idk if this would count as a healing show but [favorite entertainment] was really popular with ahjummas so... LMAO it was the show that made the trot boy group with hui (pentagon) and mj (astro), it's not really a survival program since the members are chosen fairly quickly but the 5 members form a really strong familial bond with one another (and 2 of them are non-celebrities) as well as their "managers" in the debut process so it was a very heartwarming show, though its kinda long? but ive rewatched it like 3 times

Haiqa Khan

i know how much bts in the soop is healing so once you've finished that bon voyage season 4 is a great way to relax , its their best season so far.

Manon

Since you purchase In the Shop you can access the behind videos., if you want to see more from the show. And if you like to learn more about the BE album after listening to it, I would recommend the Be-hind story; as well as the 'BE-hind Story' Interview where the members interview each other (there is also a video with the full interview for each member up on the BangtanTV channel)

Olenti

Praying for Blaire, get well soon. Also, take care of yourself PD🙏🏽

SugandSunshine

BTS bon voyage and stray kids howl in harmony are definitely big recommendations from me.

bbyjason

Sorry to hear about your situation and wishing the best for the both of you. Take care of yourselves first always, we look forward to all the content you release for us!

christina

Stray Kids Song Camp Howl in Harmony is very healing as someone who loves the members dearly. Watching them interact in units and hang out while creating music, music video concepts, styling, etc is so nice. It’s only 5 episodes and worth the watch in my opinion!

Jessie

Sending all my well wishes and prayers for the both of you PD. I agree with a lot of the comments that bts bon voyage season 4 is really good. It was filmed here in my country of New Zealand and is mainly filmed in the countryside/mountains. It’s very beautiful to watch. Please don’t stress about content. Take care of Blaire and yourself first

Maria

sending a lot of love to you and Blaire right now 🙏🏻❤️ hope she recovers quickly and healthily. Healing shows are the best and really help to calm your mind, there is soo many good one's to choose from.... like the 'Three Meals a Day' series, 'Youn's Kitchen' / 'Youn's Stay', one of my favorites this year was 'Unexpected Business'! just whenever I needed some calmness that show was perfect for it. 'Sea of Hope' is airing right now and it is good too. but my ultimate favorite 'healing' show this year, was Chuang 2021. (Chinese Produce 101 show that held a global audition) - I NEVER thought I would get such wholesomeness and togetherness from a competition show. i swear it didn't even feel like a competition but just a celebration of people from different backgrounds expressing what they want out of life - including the coaches [ one of them is Amber Liu from f(x) ] - I laughed, cried, and felt like the show was a warm hug while watching... can't recommend it enough. (one of the contestants was even SHINee's backup dancer!) - any way... wishing you both the best and for everyone to be healthy and happy <3

Réka O.

I was about to comment this, I'm surprised no one has suggested it yet!

Sakura

Hello PDnim! First of all, we see you, we understand you and we care about you. I just want you to know your own content is healing itself for so many people, for that very reason, we want you to take care of yourself and work as much as you see fit, don't pressure yourself. That said, my sister also has an irrational fear to death and the impact that it has in so many different aspects in life is surreal. Maybe some profesional counselor may help, now with covid a lot offer services online. Second, me myself got covid twice (yes, that's possible) because of others reckless behavior, so I get your anger and frustration but now is the moment to let go and focus in what is really important: you and your beloved ones. And third, as for healing content, I guess in the soop is healing because it doesn't have "aggressive" competition games nor frenzy pace. I'll recommend the reality shows that save me during quarantine: Going seventeen, SuperM Mtopia and ATEEZ Salary Lupin. The number of yt comments under going seventeen videos saying how much they help people to forget whatever is going on in their lives and be happy during 30min is really surprising. I know you are already watching it, so its up to you if you think the same or not. Lastly, thank you so so much for always working hard for us and for sharing with us your struggles, I hope our love and support reach you and give you strength.

WiseSmellyLegs

😿😿 I have been here on Patreon for about a year, I guess. From this amount of time I can get you know closer and I can imagine what a mental breakdown this has to be for you… Last month, or the previous one, I paid for an annual Summer tier subscription for this Patreon, because I knew no matter what content will be here, no matter what will happen, I want to be part of this community and I want to support you and Form of Therapy. So even if you would take a complete break, I will stay. Only thing I had in my mind to recommend/ask for was JYPSY’s Loud. But although it is a really interesting show, which I would love to rewatch with you, I don’t think this is a healing type of thing or something you need at this moment… I wish Blaire the best! 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Jessie

Also super m mtopia is quite a good show. There’s a few episode which are laid back and relaxing. It’s also on YouTube so you don’t have to pay to watch it

SpacedOut Vy

Hi PD!! I'll be supporting you no matter what! I won't change my tier or remove it. For a relaxing series, NCT 2020 did a 24 hour relay cam with all 23 of them. They're short videos of them going through their day and it's actually pretty relaxing! I also want to recommend the NCT 127 Hit the States vlog series. This was filmed during the first ever US tour. Each member filmed a tour vlog in each major city. This was fun and relaxing as well! It's not fast paced at all. Last video(s) I'd like to recommend is the NCT 127 BKLYN BOYS videos (4 of them). They're about all of them in the city, checking out their AirBnB, going grocery shopping, making dinner together, etc. I loved this little vlog series a lot. It's my quick comfort video series.

flowerbit

I hope Blaire gets well very soon :( and that everyone can stay very healthy after that.

Drybones0025

I personally find Treasure Map fun and healing, let’s me remove the stress in my head and “Sea of Hope” is also very calming and healing and is meant to be with its concept of live music near the calm ocean

Renata Franco

I found It’s Dangerous Beyond The Blankets to be very healing for me. As well as New Journey to the West

Renata Franco

Ooh and I also found Produce 101 and Produce x 101 very healing for some reason? They’re like my comfort shows

R875d

I am so sorry for what happened . I hope both blaire and PD gets through this safely soon. I will support PD no matter what, even if I don't get contents I want 💜.. I know this is hard but remember even these time will be just memories tomorrow

R875d

To be honest BE album was always my first thing to listen whenever I had something like that so I hope this will help you too, also BON VOYAGE have a similar vibe to BTS IN TH SOOP, I would like to suggest BON VOYAGE season 2 or 4.

Quil

Stray Kids are currently doing "SKZ SONG CAMP" and it's very laid back, so far there are 4 episodes and there are one or two more coming out in the upcoming weeks I think? But it's basically them dividing into units and coming up with concepts for a song then sharing it eventually with the others and us! I don't know but I've found a lot of comfort in this show, seeing them have a moment to talk about music or simply spend time together in a different scenery was exactly what I needed. Wishing Blair all the best, hang in there PD!

kim

I find Bon Voyage S4 (where they’re in New Zealand) very healing as they’re out in the nature and mountains, doing stuff by themselves, going on trips and doing different activities. Gives me similar vibes to to In the Soop cause of those reasons, although they explore a lot more and can be a bit chaotic at times. It’s healing for me to watch them goof around and have fun and explore the pretty nature of New Zealand and see them interact and talk and sing :) Hopefully it’ll feel healing for you too! Also I understand that you’ve mentioned that you’re the type that has to watch everything in order (like start with S1), but I find that the other seasons can seem a bit more chaotic (?), although imo. I found it very entertaining and nice to watch those seasons too lmao.

Skyler

Gosh this has to be rough. I hope Blaire recovers speedily, the fear of a family member being sick is always hard. And your feelings are totally normal too,  I went through the same thing when a close family member caught a cold recently the fear mixed with anger. But all you can do is try to be there for them. I'm sure you're doing your best. Now if you're looking for recommendations I saw a few others mention this as well but SKZ Song Camp We Howl in Harmony has been a joy to watch. It's essentially them in sub units just talking music and relaxing together. It's nice to see people talking about something they love with people they care about. It's not complete but 4 episodes are out and they're each around 30 mins long so it's a nice bit of content. The whole vibe is very comforting. It feels like one big warm hug or the happiness you get from being around close friends. I really recommend it. Now remember to take care of yourself too, make sure to get rest, eat and stay hydrated. You can't take proper care of her if you're not 100% as well. Best wishes to you and your partner PD.

kelly.lai

I haven’t watched too many variety shows but I loved Bon Voyage (agree with everyone S4 New Zealand is the most “healing”) and NCT Life in Chuncheon and Hongcheon! I hope you check both out! Do what you have to do for both yours and Blaire’s health! Sending you good vibes and stay safe/healthy!

Michelle R.

My thoughts are with Blake and I hope her a speedy recovery. I second what a lot of people have already said, BTS’ Bon Boyage seasons and Lee Hyori’s Bed & Breakfast fit the bill perfectly!!!

Moni Kay

Bon Voyage season 4 was very healing for me as well as in the soop. It’s a little more energetic (I can’t think of a better word since they’re always chaotic) than in the soop , but the New Zealand scenery and it being in 2019 it’s a lot more chill then the first 3 seasons.

Kim Chi

First of all, I wish speedy recovery for you Blaire and that everything will only get better from now on for all of you! second, if you need some healing maybe try out the show „바라던 바다 (Sea Of Hope)“ it only started recently and has now 4 episodes but I usually watch it after a stressful week and it’s just a nice way to relax and unwind . i am not sure how well you will like it but it is basically a group of celebrities who work together at a non-profit pop up bistro to help people to get a break from their busy lives and also help cleaning up the sea and it is all accompanied with some live music from the singers. The cast consists of singer Yoon Jongshin, Lee Ji-Ah (Suryeon from penthouse), Lee Dongwook (grim reaper from goblin), Kim Goeun (euntak from goblin), SHINee’s Onew and AKMU’s Suhyun. Their first guest and helper is Blackpink’s Rosé. here is a trailer: https://youtu.be/_HwVknLIUUM here you can find the episode subbed (hard and soft subs): https://ko-fi.com/4nialove

Mali

I wish her a quick and full recovery!! Something that I found really fun was Shinee‘s back, it’s also quite short I think

Upshot

Another thing that at least to me felt healing: I just saw the latest episode of "Jessi's Showterview" and Kwang-Soo was one of the guests promoting his movie. And while contentwise it's not really a healing show at all, but personally I felt so much better just seeing him again. (And knowing that you're a dedicated Running Man fan as well, I guess it might be similar for you)

jeon yk

As I'm Army so I wanna go with Bon Voyage as the others do, I prefer all seasons. Apart from BTS, I'd like to recommend ITZY in Paris. The program is soooooo healing and heart-warming. After I read this post, the program came to my mind first. ITZY members are so sweet to each other and they make me happily cried a lot throughout the show. Lastly, as TXT fans, I'd love to recommend you to check out One Dream.TXT as well. The program was recorded throughout their first US showcase tour. So you can get to know their behind the scenes. They were so young at that time so it really touched me every time I go back to watch.

jeon yk

Anyway, I do hope Blair will get better very soon. It's really heartbreaking to hear this as before I get to see this post I watched you both laughing and screaming together. I hope PD will take time with yourself without feeling bad for us too. We not only love to see you reacting, but also love to see you take a good rest and have time for your own sake too. 💗

Jodi Wong

i hope blaire feels better soon 🥺 and that pd you have the chance to catch your breath ! for healing content i really recommend pentagon’s forest we:th! ironically it also takes place in a forest but the first episode or two also focus a lot on the members trying to take time for themselves and trying possible new hobbies for that! (for reference it’s only three eps and you can find the links on pentagon subs on youtube!)

emotionless bot

Get well soon for the both of you. I can only imagine the amount of stress and pain both of you are having. Lee Hyori's bed and breakfast S1 with IU is the definition of textbook healing. I learned to become so much more calm there and it's honestly interesting. As much as I love the idol groups variety reactions.. I feel like you need a break from it. I hope you'll watch something that will get your interest! Also, please stay safe and vigilant also. Wishing you guys only the best.

Taylor S.

wishing you both the best! I second anyone who said hyori’s bed and breakfast as a healing show lol I loved both seasons but IU’s was definitely my favorite :) I’d also recommend “Little forest” with Lee Seung gi and other celebrities where they take care of little kids in like a nice little vacation home. I don’t know if it would be a healing show for others but it’s one show I love to rewatch and just have on in the background when I’m doing things. They do cook a lot though so warning to those that watch when hungry :)

CJ

Everything you said is totally understandable. I dont think its it's irrational; i think that's just being human. And you're not alone in that reaction and that coping mechanism. I can relate. And "healing shows" were also what got me in BTS In The Soop and their Bon Voyage series. I think BV is already in your list before, not sure if you'll decide to do it in August but I'd suggest you try it out. The places they went to is also very calming and relaxing to watch. Hope that helps and hope things get better.

Chau Nguyen

All the best from Canada, PD! It’s terrible that all these things have been happening when you just want to live your life, and then to have this news on top of that is devastating. My current healing K-watches are Going Seventeen (which you are already watching) and Hospital Playlist. It’s not a variety show but it does such an amazing job showing empathy, professionalism, and friendship that I would binge watch it if I could. There are some heavy, emotional scenes but the show as a whole is well-balanced to portray humanity with all its ups and downs.

kinara

not just related to one kpop group but i thought it was very relaxing and wholesome that i watched it all even tho i don't stan all the groups there. it's called fandom tour and all on youtube !! (about 15 mins each and the groups in it are txt sf9 stray kids and oh my girl they don't interact but each group have like 4 episodes just solely featuring them and they look explore meaningful places to them around korea and eat)

Ace in Multifandom

I would recommend Korean Hostel in Spain (Korean: 스페인 하숙). Cha Seung-won, well-versed in Korean cuisine, Yoo Hae-jin, an adept adventurer, and Bae Jeong-nam, the newcomer, set up a pilgrim's hostel on the Camino de Santiago, to offer warm beds and hot meals to weary travelers.

Sherry

These days the most healing drama for me is Hospital Playlist. Hope you can check that drama out bcs its so healing (for me) :)

Aeriel Darriana

Hospital Playlist and definitely Running Girls I think are really healing and touching! ❤️❤️

Kasey

Another It’s Dangerous Beyond the Blankets vote also Wanna One Zero Base

Bryn

i don’t know if someone’s already suggested this, but ateez and kim jongkook came out with a single and are collaborating on a little variety show. the mv is very cute and definitely not for everyone, but i think it constitutes as healing ☺️ here’s the link for the mv: https://youtu.be/JUFpIKx6y2c
