After watching episode 1 with you I binge watched till ep 11... Now I'm forcing myself to wait on y'all 😉🤣

stylesniklaus

Yessss, and it's getting better and better, you'll see! Hope everything is better for you both!

Emani

This show is sooo good, right! I had to wait every week for the subs to come out, which felt like forever. But then I couldn't get myself to watch the last ep because I wasn't ready for the drama to end

I knew you guys would lose your shit after seeing the young Baek Hee Seong/Do Hyun Soo. I honestly screamed the first time I saw it. Like... it was a genius casting through and through. Joon Gi's main feature is his piercing eyes... and they found someone who replicated it well. +++++ I totally agree with your take with capital punishment/death penalty. I can never support something like that.

Hey Pd, thank you for this. Also, are you doing the LP’s still today? You’re doing an awesome job and you’re appreciated so much!! I love watching these drama’s with you because your knowledge of your Korean culture and language is above and beyond

Babette

That girl standing next to him and the dead man plays one of the tea party members in Imitation!!! Love all the series you're watching right now 🤗

Connor (Cyndr)

Yeah all of the actors that play the younger versions of characters are really convincing!!! there's another older/younger duo we'll see later on that I really liked too besides Do Hyun Soo's actors. The only one that really wasn't very convincing to me was Moo Jin's younger self cause he behaves so differently to me. Moo Jin is kind of a selfish jerk sometimes as an adult, but teenage version is just so much more confident and seems to be enjoying the violence too much to believably be the same character to me but idk. Maybe that's just how Hyun Soo perceived Moo Jin

Connor (Cyndr)

Also I totally agree that Moo Jin really makes those scenes. Seo Hyun Woo is so emotive and Joon Gi is so deadpan, and that contrast is so good. I really love their scenes together, and the history between the two characters really builds off of that contrast.

Malaki.H

oh PD about the punishment thing then youre gonna love the devil judge lol

Ewtio

The girl standing next to young Do Hyun Soo (when he's holding the knife) is played by Nayoung (of Pristin and I.O.I). As someone already mentioned, she also plays one of the teaparty members in Imitation.

this show is just getting better and better! i also think the show is trying to make it look like Joon Gi was the one who killed the guy at the end but i really think his father is still alive and he is the one who did it and the thing about the case of the episode the reason she killed the gramma because of a kind of trivial thing is because she is a psychopath/sociopath idk which one but she basically says that in the conversation with the detective saying that theyre about 3% of the population so thats why she didnt think it through and just did it because she got angry

Emi R.

“Don’t get murdered, bye.” 😂

SanjA1800

When I first watched this on my own I also found it weird that Joon Gi didn't just kill off Moo Jin. The show is making it look like Joon Gi is possibly a killer if not now then maybe in the past (no clear evidence) but he has this guy in his basement and there doesn't seem to be any real desire to kill him though. Sure he seems cold-blooded what with the comments about covering the floor with plastic and all. But he seems so logical and doesn't seem to be deriving any pleasure from kidnapping the guy and hasn't tortured him or anything.

rockthekazb0t

Sorry, all I could focus on in the beginning is - did my dude put strawberries in the 누룽지탕? 🤔 Is that a common thing?

Hailey

I think Hyun Soo would be considered a psychopath since he seems to be well equipped in normal life and doesn't act out in rage so far. I believe clinically the terms psychopath and sociopath aren't used anymore but that's what I would label him as. Anywho I'm not waiting on yall and going to watch ep 3 rn 😁

M.C.

Flower of Evil episode 2 notes - I feel like the murderer is the original and they did it cause they didn't get enough public attention initially or a child of them and it's gonna be a parallel to the mc - why would you give valuable information like this over the phone - how has he not noticed the guy standing looking at him yet, if he really is paranoid he'd be looking around constantly - is Tip guy the manager from Imitation - why do they look like different people to me ( charity girl with her hair up/down) - feel like the artery thing will come back later - you're a detective you should have a better lie than cutting your face on paper - obviously Someone from the past, dad? One of the other boys? - he didn't kill the man on the ground for the reason we think, or he didn't even kill him, we don't know - That's a lot of lightning - the "some people do deserve not to live" I feel was in some part talking about himself, but also someone else - Where do I know the young reporter guy from? - Why am I suspicious of the assistant detective guy now? I know he isn't old enough, but still - Why did the mc have blood on his raincoat though? - mc wouldn't have 2 hideouts, that's more for people to find, he didn't kill the guy

Ewtio

The young reporter is played by the former project group 1THE9 member Jeong Taek Hyeon, I guess that's it?

Shayla Lackey

Real quick, lol I know you’ve talked about how characters transform. If you watch hwarang, you’ll see Jang Dae Hee transform into a character that will shock you. Lol I seen hwarang before Itaewon Class so when I saw him play the bad guy I was shocked😭

Haruka

That scene with his daughter is asdkjsad. I was a really good mannered student in high school so whenever teachers suspected some cheating is going on they never thought i was one of the students who cheated. Acting like a decent person always works for your own favor. Being a decent person, too, btw :D

catanda

i started watching this drama with you guys so i really dont know anything about this drama,,, for me the raincoat hidden person feels like a woman , like the coat fit very big on their frame and like idk if i saw wrong but the shoes they were wearing were alsa bigger like, i saw a gap, like a girl hidining they are a girl so the dude thought it was joongis character but like idk ,,,, i may be wrong lol i feel like the girl shown in the flashbacks is involved in current story line

xenillith

Wow. Someone already mentioned it before me but based on your post episode commentary about death penalty by society, limits of justice, good/bad reasons to kill/commit a crime and wether it is ever truly worth it... you might really enjoy The Devil Judge which is currently airing on tvn. For now (ep 12) it's really good and now I'm really curious about your opinions on a lot of scenes/characters....

Geniya

I really liked the detective story of this episode. It shows what a real psychopath/sociopath (not sure which one fits this show better) is like and gives us a reference to compare our ML with. For a regular person killing because of something so trivial seems stupid, but impulsive decisions like this are actually one of the traits of a sociopath. They perceive risk differently and their internal reward system is different. Now the question is does our ML fit this profile or not. On a side note, I had to Google to believe that the detective guy is a landlord from Vincenzo. He is doing SUCH A GREAT job.

Rebecca Le Minh

What is even funnier is that there ws actually a famous serial killer called "the raincoat killer" who operated in Korea for a while!
