It's so interesting how things can change. When you first started watching this and I checked out the 1st episode I kind of saw it as something that I would only watch along with you to fill some time but wouldn't get too invested, yet today out of all the drama episodes you've posted this is the one that I'm watching second (after flower of evil). I think it's true what you guys said last time with all the heavy hitting shows in the schedule this just feels like something refreshing and entertaining so it doesn't necessarily need to be of award-winning quality.

Yesss I was waiting for this one, I enjoy this ep quite a bit as well Like it's entertaining and also is Like a refresher from the other dramas About what you said for the Next lighthearted drama I will recommend Extra-ordinary You (rowoon from sf9 is the main lead) or run on as well

Everything about U-KISS is so nostalgic to me. Does anyone feel like the whole group was just a whole fever dream??? They exists only in my memory. Like... Kevin? Alexander? Eli?? JUN???!? Yes to both suggestions! Extraordinary You semi-fell apart for me in the last few episodes but it was still so FUN that I didn't mind too much. And then if they follow it up with True Beauty, I'll be so happy 🤗

I watched a behind the scene and the show runners purposely tried to cast people around the same age Jiyeon (93) blue hair guy Park Yuri (94) jerk in sparkling Suwoong and Nayoung (95) Ria (96) Jun and Shax leader (97). seonghwa (98) Maha, hwiyoung, yunho, San (99) Chani and Jongho (00) Also the topic of La Rima, she kinda has the same role as Jongho but it’s not prominent right now. She, like you said, doesn’t do much in the first half. while watching, I’m like wow someone T-ara is on the show but that’s about it.

So I've read the entire webtoon this was based on and Seonghwa and San's characters really don't do much. Yunho's character does stuff and they show up occasionally ... in fact, they may have shown up more in this series than in the comic. Also... if this story develops the way the comic did, your feelings on some characters you liked will definitely change.

I haven't watched this yet, still at work, but I wonder if you'll ever realize you've seen the girl playing Ria before - in fact, you've reacted to her music video, Zero! (it was a video game tie-in OST and the MV had some heavy Kimi no Na wa vibes) Okay okay, it was several years ago now so I don't blame ya for not remembering. lol But I've liked her ever since I saw your reaction! She still does music here and there but obviously she's branching out into acting. If that doesn't ring any bells, around that time a ton of people wanted you to react to her comeback "Is Who", which was that gypsy jazz-style song that you eventually explained that you very much did not like lol 😅

Wow, when you were talking about the "your dream vs dating" with that scene with the Tea Party girls it really made me like full on flash back to Hyuna and Dawn coming out with their relationship. I still think about the Knowing Bros episode that they went on together for the first time as a couple publicly and they talked really openly about making that choice as well. Hyuna was really reluctant to come out with their relationship at first because Pentagon along with Dawn had like just debuted and they were both worried about his job since she has been in the business for like forever now. That episode is really sweet and informational for those who wonder about idols dating each other behind the scenes and whatnot, I really enjoyed and recommend it!

Oh also if you want to see more of a playful Jun, I defs recommend the Unit! He was on it and I think he really had a chance to show his personality along with the other contestants on the show! (Other notable idols on that was Junhee and Chan from ACE, all of Onewe, and a bunch of other lesser known/less popular groups of both girls and boys!) Not to mention learning/watching Jun and Dongmyeong become besties on that show was the thing I didn't know I needed in my life lmaooooo.

Oh and last thing I swear! For the weight scene, BM actually talked about that in episode 52 of the Get Real podcast and how the weighing in happened at his company. I think Ashley mentions it too but that whole episode was really great to hear from all of them about the truth of the idol industry along with comparing it to how Han Heejun is going up in the American music industry. (Peniel had to be pretty quiet that episode tho, haha fuck Cube.)

i think its funny you shocked that Jun is the maknae in ukiss and saying he looks 30 and i do think he looks a little older but after getting to know him through the unit and unb i can only see him as a giant baby because his personality is so bright and adorable lol

Yeah Jun was a new member added to Ukiss in 2014 after one of the other members left. One of the first MVs he was in was 19+ so it was hilarious to see the other members grinding on girls and having pretty racy scenes while he sat in a car with girls in the back seat cause he was only 17 😂

Between True Beauty and Extraordinary You I would really prefer True Beauty. A lot less sad 🤣 Also, Inyeop is the only 30 year old playing a high schooler where I was actually surprised about his real age after looking the ages up.

PD I recommend watching Run On after Imitation if you're looking for a relaxing and sweet drama, there is some conflict but it leaves a great lesson and message to the viewers so I think it'll be really interesting for you and Blaire to watch and react to. And the drama is also filled with some comedic characters so it'll be really enjoyable and relaxing. I hope it gets picked for the next drama lol

I wish more romantic dramas would just do A-couple/B-couple storylines instead of the VERY tired love triangle/square/pentagon/hexagons

I am DONE with the "Oh, he treats me like sh*t, I love him" narrative. We KNOW Ryok was acting at first because of his idol persona, put from Maha's point of view, he was genuinely mean. The show made up the "before debut friends" narrative that wasn't in the manhwa to romanticize their relationship like Ryok was someone she looked up to and now he's unachievable. But he was cruel and hasn't apologized once for it. Anyway, I do prefer Ryok and Maha end up together because he doesn't deserve Yujin. In my opinion everything Yujin's done is what an amazing friend would do, without romantic feelings necessarily involved but Maha treats him like trash. Even the rest of the tea party members are better friend to him than her. It is even worse bcos he hasn’t confessed to her so is not like she’s trying to distance herself from him, she just treats like trash someone who has believed in her and cheer for her since before her debut and always stands up for her and is in stand by whenever she needs something. TEAM Yujin and Hyeonji all the way. In the manhwa its shown more the mental process Hyeonji goes thu form feeling jeoulosy to making her best to unite Maha and Yujin because she thinks Maha likes him and she wants to be a good friend.

The boy from Sparkling everyone hates is a member of Boys Republic. He trained with BTS and its said he filmed the JACKET and recorded debut album but didn't make it (don't know if he left or big hit didn't want him anymore). He's really good friend with Jungkook. I'm just shooketh how "realistic" imitation is. Like the mention of pressure put on idols about their weight and what they go thru in some survival shows or packed schedules. also its known leaders are the spokesperson of the group and they have to report situations or defend their members infront of their CEOS. I remember leaders like EXO Suho or Seventeen S.Coups saying they had "discussions" with the higher-ups and that no matter what their top priority will always be the members. Imitation should explore how hard it is to be a leader.

I would suggest true beauty or extraordinary you as the next light hearted drama. If you’re looking for something aged up, I would say Start Up. Not gonna lie it’s hard to find kdramas that don’t have major second lead syndromes lol

honestly, this was the episode that made me start to get really mad at this show for a number of things lol I've never liked Ryeok and Maha both as characters and as a couple because of the writing of the both things and when she ditches Yujin for Ryeok in the car scene I was just 100% done with them and their attitude. Yujin deserves a lot better than that. Also, what movie production would ever put an Class A idol to actually drive in an actual scene while having inflammable items right there lol NOG would never allow that, it's just so stupid (I actually got so mad at that I almost gave up on the entire show)

Haha yes that as well. Like it’s not reply 1988 status but it’s close. I dropped run on cause it got so flat and had some problems with plot points.

I have some reccomendations for more fun dramas! I would love to see you guys react to The Secret Life of my Secretary. I think the main actress is really good, the leads have good chemistry, the side characters are likeable and there is a bit of mystery and intrigue as well. Her Private Life is also good if you want to continue with a drama around fan culture and idols, but from the perspective a woman who is a fan of an idol (and you'll recognize some faces from Itaewon Class and It's Okay to Not Be Okay). It also deals with some interesting conversations around fan obsession and how much is too much. I enjoyed the main leads in it as well. Finally, I highly recommend Crash Landing on You, it is still in my top 3 favourite dramas. From production, to characters, to a romance you can really root for, the show has it all. It has some instense moments, but overall it is just a lot of fun.

The only love triangle I’ve seen that makes like real world sense is Record of Youth where Park Sodam spends time with each of the guys (park bogum and Byeon wooseok) and one of them is there for her when the other isn’t.

jongho's character with yuri is amazing in this drama. i love their parts since this episode! Strong Woman Do Bong Soon was so good and hilarious. I even watched it twice XD. I wonder if PD have watched this before?

IDK why but when PD was talking about sasaengs in the beginning and like bringing out the club i just imagine PD in like one of those Scooby Doo chase scenes with a giant mallet chasing saesangs lmao

ML is so freaking creepy. Imagine if some not so hot and popular guy acted like him? I'd call police if he showed up to pick me up. it's either really dumb or completely unrealistic
