I had similar thoughts when I first watched this show. Like the story is all there and had so much potential, but the timeline and execution leaves something to be desired. Just that light level of something is off that you can’t put your finger on that leaves you somewhat unsatisfied. It doesn’t stick out too much when you’re only consuming lighter kdrama romcoms or other media but the difference is STARK when paired with very well executed dramas like Flower of Evil. I hope y’all keep a lighter concept drama to balance the others. *cough* I volunteer Hometown ChaChaCha as tribute *cough*

I would love for you all to react to "Waikiki" for a lighter drama. It is one of the funniest kdramas I have ever seen. I almost wet myself from laughing so much on more than one occasion lol

One of the confusing things about this ep was the direction they went with that guy from sparkling like throughout the whole show he's an asshole and doesn't get along with yunho and whatever and then suddenly he's someone we should feel sorry for and the members and him are bffs? Yeah that's kinda bad writing

Judging from what I’ve seen some people say about this show, they changed some things from the webcomic? I think that resulted in some weird choices with the plot or what they showed us or the script writer(s?)/director that causes the show to not the hit the points they were going for. Like for example, I’m not sure about this so if someone who actually read the comic can correct or confirm this, but I saw someone say that sparkling actually flopped in the comic? And that they didn’t have much focus there either. Idk like I’m not sure what’s going on here but the show just seems like bad writing 😭

So the webcomic is totally unrealistic bubble gum reality and all the backstories were switched. In the comic maha and ryeok have no prior connection to each other and teaparty's ceo is a nobody with random connections from college. The show changed everything but the names basically, and some of the ways in which the characters come together. Fe. Larima in the webcomic is ryeok's friend and has a tendency to absolutely terrorise his girlfriends away (he is no inexperienced dating toddler there) and the leader of shax is an actual mean spirited Good leader who buts heads with larima a lot. Also the whole sub plot with eunjo and his girlfriend does not exist and teaparty is an established group from the get-go. It's cute but boring.
