i cant remember if i said this before but i truly think that hyunsoo's father was trying to like nurture him into the killer that he was and convinved him that he was "not normal" and didn't have or understand normal feelings and then the rumours and the way the entire village treated him fed into that and also having the doctors diagnose him like that so soon after his mothers death. So I think that maybe he might have had issues with reading people's emotions or being antisocial but i think so much of it depended on his environment and the way people have been treating him his whole life. And know he fully believes that none of the strong feelings he has for the people he loves are like real becuase he so wholeheartedly believes he has doesnt understand emotions. Also it is very funny, having seen the show, watching you guys not know certain things yet bc shit gets crazy

I have watched the show like, a year ago, and absolutely loved it. Rewatching it again with you guys is the best, because I have vague memories of the big turning points in the show, but not in details, and without knowing exactly when or how they will unfold. It's like the best of both world : knowing enough to be hyped about Big Things coming up while still enjoying the ride and being surprised. Can't wait for next week!

I feel so bad for Hyun Soo, his psychiatrist wrongfully diagnosed him because she didn't think about what could be on that tape that made him so attached to it and now he and everyone else believes what she said about him in his diagnosis and it fucked him up because no one helped him deal with his mum being gone

ok so i know the next episode is out already and I'm going to jump into it right after writing this comment. I don't know if it's a false lead but i had been suspecting the dad for a while now. there were so many shots of him looking at this random phone (also a burner one?) in his drawer.. and the fact that he had absolutely no problems with hyunsoo killing that one guy (which he didnt in the end).. and then that comment about the two of them being similar?!! jhsdfkjhdg I also instantly thought that the logo on the bracelet looked like it could be from a hospital.. I'M SO CURIOUS IF IT'S REALLY HIM!! (also see PDs comment about the guy having to be pretty old now!)

honestly, I feel like his actor has played shady or evil characters various times before, so I was automatically suspicious of him the first time I saw him on screen XD of course, that was just me being biased from the get-go but he clearly had been shady on this show too...
