Be prepared for more cliffhanger episode endings moving forward lol. I agree with PD, I really love learning about the characters more on this show, and that they aren't all one dimensional. I also love the musical score too, it is even better re-watching knowing what is to come. The villain theme is very ominous still for me.

YESSS THIS EPISODE!! now things are gonna get even better cant wait for you guys to see it and yeah that line with the apples was really such an incredible analogy

victor hugo rolling in his grave hearing pd say they think les miserables is based on a musical and not his 19th century 1,400 page magnum opus 😭

You feel something shift in this episode and just know shit is going down now. I love it!

I love that you point out that the side characters in this show have more backstory which is quite rare in K-drama. The more episode goes on, the more backstory we get from the tenants. And one of them plays a huge part later in the series. Just a tiny bit spoiler

Yeah I definitely was wondering why they named the company Babel, because it's very clear biblical symbolism and I was curious to see how they would use that symbolism. NOW it all makes sense. I also find it intriguing that both Jang Junwoo and Vincenzo are bilingual, because God's consequence for the people that built the tower of babel in the bible was to make everyone speak different languages so they could not communicate and organize together to build something that tall ever again. Junwoo's entire character really feels like he's trying to recreate the tower of babel and playing around society and God's rules. There's so much symbolism in this show, I kinda want to rewatch it and look for all of it one day.

LOL Thanks! These reactions are great cause I actually start thinking more deeply about kdramas when y'all bring stuff up. When I'm watching by myself I just default to casual consumption mode.

There’s a Les Miserables anime called something like Les Miserables Cosette that’s really good, it starts off really light like it’s weak but gets really political and amazing, you should check it out.
