I started liking Crush more after watching their Showcase performance so I think PD could like it as well since the choreo DEFINITELY gave the song a better vibe!!

I totally agree with your rating of the album. I became a carat during an Ode, and Left and Right was amazing for me, and I loved Home;run. I wasn’t sold on Ready to Love and the Your Choice album in general and felt a little scared they weren’t going to rise back up to my expectations that had been set w Left and Right and Home;Run. But this album and title absolutely slayed it for me! This is one of my favorite albums of all time, up there with Loona’s midnight album and Dreamcatcher’s Road to Utopia.

Same in RWY in that part i’m just hearing : 1234 oooooh ho ho 😭😭 Actually this is one of my favorite Albums too, the songs are just incredible BTW you should watch 2 MINUS 1 live band! Is soooo good!!! And Crush too the performance in their comeback show is just insane AND RWY band live session!!!!

This album is so GOOD I've had it on replay for WEEKS and I keep replaying their live stages so much it's crazy! I think in an interview Wonwoo said they started to work on 'I can't run away' around when they were working on Bittersweet and when they were in self-quarantine in June (I can't remember what exactly he said), so I think that explains why he and Mingyu are listed first for composing that track! If I had to pick a favorite (i agree every song is SO GOOD), '2 MINUS 1' would probably be it after 'Rock with you'. My jaw DROPPED at Joshua's pre-chorus part when I first listened to it. Both of them have talked about how they were inspired by music from the early 2000s like Avril Lavigne when they were coming up with the song and I think that's why I liked it so much. It's so nostalgic for me. I also found it funny how I feel like I can relate to the track despite never having been in a relationship before lol. Also I HIGHLY recommend watching their live performance of 2 MINUS 1 for Genius!

No doubt my favorite song from this album is 2 minus 1. I feel like they were able to showcase Joshua and Vernon as a vocalist in the best way possible. Vernon said this song was highly inspired by Avril's music and I'm so glad they went for this type of music. Joshua doing that pre-chorus in 2nd verse was honestly a shock, I've always known he has wider potential than what he was showing but wow I was really impressed. To you is a close second and probably Rock With You next. I feel like this was such a switch-up for the unit song where PU both sang and rap and HHU focused more on showing off their vocals. Such a versatile album I'm really excited on their future plans especially I'm feeling that Western promotion soon.

I honestly felt a little teary-eyed after listening to this EP. It was a mix of excitement and obviously how much I liked the whole thing, but also...a little bit of nostalgia? And pride, definitely, I feel so, so proud and accomplished myself to see them do this well. As you said in your Kulture study of Rock With you, this new era feels like a re-birth and a new journey. And we have 7 more solid years of Seventeen to go <3

'I can't run away' is a masterpiece of a song, the lyrics, the vocals, everything is so damn good. Vernon blows me away, I've listened to this song an alarming amount of times since release and i still get in shock over his vocals. Mingyu's vocals in this entire album are just perfection. And then cheol.... don't even get me started. And of course I never get sick of Wonwoo's soft vocals. Hiphop unit truly never misses. EVER.

Honestly, 2 Minus 1 wasn't my cup of tea at first because of the chorus part. But after many listens, it grew on me. It's so good... like PD said, it's a well-composed American song. And Shua singing in the pre-chorus, it's just amazing. I love the experimental side of the Performance Unit, I really really liked Wave and now I'm obsessed with Pang. I love this album overall, it felt complete and diverse.

I'm Italian and I always have to smile to myself when I hear everybody refer to this album as Àttacca, because it's literally just the command "Attack!", but in italian. And it's funny because, in their attempt to pronounce it right, reviewers and fans have been pronouncing it wrong this whole time - as in making things more complicated for themselves when it's actually super easy. Because the thing is, the accent on the second vowel actually stays the same in both languages, so it would be attàcca, not àttacca. You just have to add that final A. It's no big deal, just something I noticed, since more people than I would've thought pronounced it wrong, when they actually don't have to change almost anything from their pronunciation of the word in their original language (english).

Ah, PD, I feel the opposite about the album as a whole: I like it less than the last several. I prefer the chill-hop the HH team usually puts out, the sexier songs from the PU, & the pop-pier Vocal team tracks. Rock With You is definitely my favorite on the whole album, and Pang just doesn't do anything for me. I'd give the album maybe an 8/10. PD feels like this is a step in a new direction, but I feel like it's a bit of a step back, not necessarily in the direction from which they've come, but just in terms of what my expectations have been.

i think as a body of work i personally prefer your choice over attacca, i think the range of sounds they hit on that ep is more my style and was experimental for most of the units. i do have to say however that hip hop unit have been on something else this year with their releases, from hyperpop game boi to a straight up ballad which was the perfect follow up from mingyu & wonwoo's 'bittersweet'. i'm glad perf unit also got experimental with pang! but just out of personal choice i do prefer their previous ep, i mean heaven's cloud is a good enough reason lol.

Love it so much!! I personally loved both albums this year just as much - both title tracks and the b-sides. They have had such an incredible year!! YESS Vernon really slayed me on this album especially, like wow. All of them shone so brightly and as always; they put out nothing but quality! When it comes to the unit songs, I definitely love I Can't Run Away a lot more than GAME BO1, yet I prefer Wave way more than Pang! (just not a fan of the chorus but like the rest of it). Other than that, obsessed with all the songs! How do they keep getting better? it's insane.

It's rare that I have to disagree or our tastes don't match up but here it is: I think the album is kinda playing it safe in the way BTS's Permission to Dance was a safe choice catered for the American market. That doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy it tho, everytime I listen to Rock with you it seems to grow on me so eventually I'll love it too. But overall, the best, supreme SVT title tracks for me are still Don't wanna cry and 독 : Fear. Also, you are right about Crush not fitting the rest sonically, cause it is the first track I liked on the first listen (maaaaybe PANG! too) so yeah... last on your list, first on mine, tho it is at the same time true that it seems like a track from 2 years ago. IDK anymore
