Jun released two chinese solo songs this year, Crow and Silent Boarding Gate (even has a music video). They're more on the ballad side so I hope he will get a real solo in the future where he can show all of his charms.

I hope you check out their solo stuff! Jun released two songs already which are Crow and Silent Boarding Gate. Jeonghan recently released a song too (dream) which was written by him. Vernon last month too as well as Hoshi's Tiger Power (this song is funny but it's so gooooood). Lastly, Woozi will be releasing a solo mixtape this January and I'm so hyped about it! Hopefully the rest of the members will release solo's soon since this solo mixtape is like a project and Hoshi was the first one followed by Woozi.

I feel you, PD. I get such genuine joy from food and from the act of taking a meal. I hate cooking, but I would do it in a heartbeat if it was for an evening well-spent with friends or family! I also had a bunch of health issues as a kid, so I feel like I grew up fast and now I'm in this unusually wisened state where I want to enjoy everything, no matter how little; I feel super blessed for this POV, especially in the midst of a pandemic...

Yeah no, I was gagging when Hoshi started eating the ketchup/Mayo bread. I really have been appreciating watching all the In The Soop series with you, your ending thoughts always make me happy because nine times out of ten its my exact thoughts as well. I am also, so so so so envious of the bond between groups like SVT but watching the bond also gives me some fulfillment and happiness of what I dont have.

i totally agree with you PD about us aging slower now days like even me im just almost 23 but at heart i still feel like im 18 you know even tho i have more responsabilities now i dont feel like im getting older, partly because i feel like these 2 years of pandemic were just a gap in my life like i didnt truly live those years so it doesnt feel like i aged those years plus like you said that are so many things that bring me joy that i think it makes me mantain a youthful state of mind

I'm not sure if it can be regarded as Jun's solo, but Jun did put forward his Chinese singles. One is called Crow, another song is Silent Boarding Gate and it has a MV. Maybe PD you can have a look.

You have been waiting for Jun's solo, and we have been waiting for you to react to his solo xD (and also Wonwoo and Mingyu's single) I guess it can be considered as such, since Jun has put out singles in the past but this year he had his first solo MV for Silent Boarding Gate. Personally, it's never a bad moment to play that song, that's how much I like it, but I am sucker for most types of ballads. I don't know if you would like it, but I would love to hear your thoughts.

PD, the part you mentioned about sometimes groups needing to live separately in order to stay together reminds me of what Key said about needing to move out of the SHINee dorm. He said that one day he walked out into the livingroom, saw Minho just sitting there and got annoyed at him, and he knew it was time to move out. And he said that the members were closer after they were apart. You also said something about groups being on the same wavelength with each other and that reminds me of what RM says about BTS members a lot. They are all on the same boat, with the same destination, but looking different directions. They have different ideas and personalities, but at the end of the day their goals are so aligned they are all on the same boat.

So interesting what you said about aging. I'm 37 and I feel like 30 and I also don't think I look like 37. Also my life circumstances are like I'm in my 20s so I guess is normal that I don't feel like 37. I also always heard that when you are old you don't care about things.. Well I'm still waiting for that day because I always care too much and feel things at 200%, so I guess I'll always be young if I still care and enjoy things

For Jun solos in addition to his recent MV there's also the stage he did on the first episode of the Chinese reality show that he and Minghao were on which is a Chinese version of Thanks. He ended up doing another solo stage on that show of The Night is Too Dark (not originally intended to be a solo but his partner, Yanan of Pentagon, was gone for health reasons suddenly) which is a lot less ballad than other solo things he's released so it's interesting to hear.
