Well this episode absolutely DESTROYED me. I was lured into this show on the premise that it was produced really well and treated fairly. Never in my dreams did I ever think they could betray and break my heart like this!

I've been waiting for you to post this one knowing it wokd hurt you so bad. Honestly I still didn't process this elimination and I'm still trying to understand the reasoning behind t because there was absolutely none. There's no reason at all why Psy did this and I don't know if I'll ever get over it. I'll watch the reaction later, but know that I feel you 100%

Doyoungismyult

I knew this would be a hard episode for you. Unfortunately this happened and I am sad that it did. He is an incredible performer and he will only go up from here. I hope he gets a chance to debut somewhere else ❤️

WiseSmellyLegs

In previous round I felt like: „Okay, I like Kim Dong Hyun a lot, but somehow I can see, why he is not ready to debut, although his rapping skills are better than Woo Kyung Jun for example…“ But here with eliminating Lee Ye Dam there is no doubt PSY wants to keep his former trainees no matter what. To mention someone else from my favorite ones, who were eliminated… Kang Hyun Woo did not deserve to be eliminated and should have had more screen time to gain more fans, but as you said during his solo performance, I can imagine him being rather a solo artist than in a group. But Lee Ye Dam is the elimination I do not understand, I do not agree and I do not know what else to say. PSY said this future group would be hip hop focused/influenced and even during his „mini mission“ in P Nation round, he wanted from them to show him something hip and as LOUD gave Lee Ye Dam this nickname, he truly is HM - HipHop Monster. Like we can see it was hard for PSY to say it out loud, when he chose to eliminate him, but still… I will stop here and I will come back to this topic in next episodes, because although I understand, why PSY is so loyal to his former trainees, I cannot get over Lee Ye Dam being eliminated.

Ivy Jaggers

This was something I was waiting for too. I had a hard time understanding this and was super shocked at first. I think one thing you have to remember is they were also looking for synergy as a group. Having two powerful performers might cause conflict and after watching some of the behind the scenes I’m not sure Yedam meshed well with the majority of the boys personality wise. Not saying anything is wrong or bad with Yedam but I don’t think he was as close to the others. That might have been what Psy was taking into consideration.

Holly

this whole last couple episodes i was just so confused why they HAD to eliminate contestants. i guess it’s for the drama or show or whatever, but they literally whittled down the groups SO much. i absolutely HATED the eliminations in the last couple episodes :(((

Maria
>>77468857

seriously WHY? I kept yelling at the screen, but why do you have to eliminate? they really didn't have to do it. 😭

Thabit Ayob

I just got to the end of school life perf. And yes tbh, like i said in the previous ep, JYP team is more well shaped and molded, so the performances look very neat and better than PNation however the PNation team got way much more potential and qualities for the next generation unlike JYP which is coming all the way with residues and backlog of previous groups which is a good and bad thing at the same time. And on a side note, Yes JYP tbh was burning psy, he was bitching on them tbh lol. idk if he got sulky for losing or it's just a genuine critique for him. but he never missed a chance to point out obvious problems in pnation teams (which are natural due to the structure of the team)

Doyoungismyult
>>77473271

So many people voted for PSY’S team during this show because they dislike JYP..failing to realize that they only are hurting those boys dreams

Thabit Ayob

Ye Dam elimination will never heal, nor next week's. I'm really waiting for a miracle to bring back those back to debut with PNation. They really got that LOUD qualities, and i need them to be that exceptional group. Without them they'll be just another kpop group, as like you said the trainees most of them don't have any true charm, and most of tem are just good dancer/singers that's it. But a lot of those LOUD minds got eliminated in the process because the companies already invested in their trainees so much and molded them that they can't leave. So it's not really a competition between 19 contestant it's more like between (19-5-2) 12 kids for the rest of the places. and that made me sad tbh.

Thabit Ayob

I agree with you on Bad guy was executed way better. (Also i just hate the camera work on PNation team). However for Run Devil Run i really really love it. And i agree maybe JYP has more different sounds, but tbh (it might be a bias) i like that a group (PLOUD) has a distinct sound which you referred to as redundant. But i'm really tired of all the groups trying all sorts of styles, they end up losing their colour/style. So You don't have to sing different styles, you can make a genre your actual color and stick to it. (if that's PNation strategy then i'm 100% buying it, if not then i'll join your opinion of it being lack of versatility).

Ty

Am I the only one that thinks Yoo Min kind of looks like Jeonghan

Anonymous

I've been try to figure out who Zo Doo Hyun reminds me off for the past few episodes and haven't been able to, but you're completely right with Treasure Jihoon. It's really been bugging me so thank you lol

Anonymous

And on the fan voting... I'm not a massive fan of P Nation's style so maybe I'm biased but I just don't get the match voting at all. Then Donghyeon finishing bottom of fan voting as well?! I just don't get it. I guess if you're audience testing a new group, DO not pick me to give feedback haha

Lee

Rewatching this with you, I definitely enjoy this second half of LOUD more so than before but tbh I gave up on the show after they got casted. I didn't really like the performances and the eliminations got rid of a lot of my top picks... Ep 12 was pretty good but I feel that maybe 3/4 eliminations total from each team without the possibility of 6 would be better. I think the votes are way too extremely different both rounds as JYP really had some bangers in comparison to PSY.

Sham Sham

Ikon ep hasn’t been posted

Tima(티마)

when I first watched the show I literally cried every single episode from ep 11

Emi R.

When I watched this live, I honestly understood the Yedam elimination 😬 Maybe I’m just blind, but I never really grasped his charm? Like kid’s a hella talented dancer, but I never saw him meshing in an idol group, at least not this one. He would have done better at JYP in my opinion, I liked his vibe with Keiju. This show kind of fell apart for me during the casting round. Cause you can see all the potential in the trainees and how they could be grouped together, but I literally screamed at my tv because I felt like they were casting individuals and not thinking about group chemistry or couldn’t because they had to reform the groups in their heads last minute when they lost a trainee to the other company. But yeah everyone watching this show was heavily biased towards Pnation because they got more of the popular trainees and had a more cohesive group identity from the casting round. I think JYP lost some core people he really wanted and just had to slap together whoever he could after that but tried to stick to the original group identity he picked out instead of building a team identity based off who he had. I felt like JYPent was still experimenting these rounds where Pnation was refining and that’s a big difference that viewers can feel. I won’t let this die, but imagine if JYP switched it up during casting and realized they weren’t gonna get a self producing group and went for a more traditional “idol dance” group? Kept Kyungmun and Minsung and went for a 2pm/Got7 hybrid instead of trying to recreate the magic of Stray Kids? Anyway that’s my hot take.

Ty

I feel like you can tell that Psy has a soft spot for all the guys that trained under him because they all took a chance on his agency.

nins

Hi idk if it's my computer being wonky but it says I need to have a password to watch the video and idk what is it, can any of you guys help?

1234567

i feel so bad for the jyp team when they loose these matches beacuse it put alot of the work they used foor these stages to shame

billie27

The moment you said you were rooting for Kyeongmun and Yedam I felt so bad for you 💀 After this episode aired I was so sad for Yedam he was my fave on the show along with Keiju and Yedam elimination was so unexpected in my opinion..

Jet3

I felt so bad for Yedam, he honestly didn’t deserve to get eliminated, but then again, I honestly don’t know who to pick? I agree Yedam is kinda similar to Hyunsoo, and personally, in terms of skills and charm, I favour Yedam more than him. Coz again, no hate to Hyunsoo, he’s talented and stable, but that’s pretty much it (for now at least. Of course i hope he can improve more in the future). Out of the 5 initial Pnation trainees, i think he stand out the least. But since the beginning of the show, knowing Psy, I feel there’s no way Psy would eliminate one of his trainees. It’s understandable since they are his first batch of trainees, he would definitely have a very strong attachment and affection towards them, especially Kyungjun and Taehun (they are his first ever two trainees). I feel like he only joined this show to find the additional members to fit in with the existing 5 trainees. And if you watch behind the scene videos, compared to Eunhwi, Koki and Daniel, Yedam didn’t seem to be that close with other members. He was quiet and didn’t really blend in, which is not necessarily a bad thing, he didn’t cause any troubles or anything but I guess Psy did take that into a consideration. As for Eunhwi and Daniel, I also agree with you when you said they share similar role. And they also have the least experience in dancing and performing on stage, which was apparent in most of the live stages. But then again, despite the lack of training, they exude distinct charisma and catch your attention when they are on stage. So I probably can understand why Psy choose to eliminate Yedam in the end. As for Koki, I guess I will just save my comment on him for the next episode 😅 As for JYP team, when i first watched the show on tv, I personally rooting for Zo Doohyun (omg they are so many with kinda similar names in jyp team 😅 i got confused sometimes). He’s like an underdog and i really want him to do well, regardless of the outcome. So I really happy to see his progress in this show. I remember watching his audition and fell in love with his voice (which is why I kinda feel disappointed when Kocowa cut his audition portion in the first episode). And you’re right, he looks a lot like Jihoon of Treasure. They have similar eyes and smile 😊 As for the match result, I kinda see why Pnation won all 3 matches. My personal favourite is Pnation team and i want them to win, but I do feel jyp should have at least won 1 or 2 matches out of 6 so far. I’m not sure, is this show kinda “rigged”? Maybe not, but is it being planned out and directed this way so that the producers will achieve the desirable number of group members for their team in the end? Do the producers have a bigger say than what is being portrayed ? Well i guess i will just reserve the rest of my comments for the remaining two episodes 😅 (and so sorry for my inconsistent and bad grammar🙏)

Tesa

seeing PD, the staff, and even Keiju cry during eliminations was probably more heartbreaking to me than the eliminations themselves :(( i personally would have loved for Yedam to stay and instead would eliminate Daniel. not that i dislike him, i just don't see him fitting into the group. Yedam has great skills, is more refined, and more versatile so he'd blend in better.

Irving

I still sad about yedam :c He was my number 1 pick but damn... I just really hope he debuts soon or even joins boys planet (or that something else happens that I can't say cuz it will be a spoiler). And also honestly I know sometimes the jyp performances are technically better, but I just keep coming back to pnation, in fact Havana and Run Devil Run are some of the performances I have replayed the most idk there is just something about pnation that make me love them so much

Doyoungismyult
>>77483515

See I think it came down to the fact that so many people voted for Pnation these rounds because they don’t like jyp. They did not care that they were potentially ruining kids dreams..all they saw was there hatred of JYP. I saw it over and over again on twitter and that is so sad to think about and see

valeria castillo

I totally agree that is strange that Pnation wins all rounds, and maybe the reason is that it has most popular members. Even though for me round 1 with bad guy the winner was JYP, but for my personal taste Pnation won the last 2 rounds. So at the end for me PNation wins. And about Yedam, he didn’t click with me, I personally wasn’t rooting for him. So I would also eliminate him, I prefer the others over him

Giu Bressani

I really can't watch this episode without crying. I got so attached to these boys in a way I don't remember doing so in any other show and it's so heartbreaking to say goodbye to some of them, but I truly hope they'll have bright futures ahead of them. I'm also so happy you're seeing more of Taehun's shine because I'm such a big fan of his and I'm so so glad more people are seeing his potential!

cy

I'm loving the denim jacket!! also I didn't realise that the dude narrating was from jessi's showterview omg I love his humor so much :o Bad Guy: Dongyeon REALLY popped off here and Gyehun's dance break was just *chef's kiss* + Donghyeon really just shines so much more on stage vs off stage and I think he really gets to show off in performances where he's challenged. Most of the kids here are quite young and I think people like Donghyeon would be able to pull off outfits once they grow into their features. Havana: Personally prefer this arrangement compared to bad guy more as well! but I felt like performance-wise it was underwhelming. I feel like as a rapper Daniel really brings so much more colour and uniqueness to team P Nation and it really showed in this performance. While watching LOUD last year, I felt that Daniel wasn't really a great fit for the idol life but rewatching this made me want him to debut, I think he would do great in any idol group with creative freedom! What you said about The Boyz in upping the creative aspect was so true and with them participating in RTK and Kingdom and influencing their competitors (particularly skz and ateez). This change in adding more complexity etc. can defintely be seen in the year-end performances by Stray Kids and Itzy especially and I'm looking forward to the livestreams :D It's actually kind of insane seeing literal trainees put up performances here which are more complex and complicated than some other male idols, especially compared to what the trainees were like in produce 101 s2 or produce x 101. I think Eunhwi and Daniel are at that point where they can produce songs good enough to be a generic producer but they haven't really gotten to the point where they could show the P Nation team's colour and highlight their strengths, although this is an issue that could probably be solved as time goes on. School Life: Gyehun can really just pull off almost any concept with this huge contrast between bad guy and school life, those five years surely paid off. Keiju was definitely the MVP of this performance! I think part of the reason why this team's performance is generally more polished is also because of how most of them have either danced before and in Donghyeon's case, he adapted really well. No More Dream: Kyungjun really just grew so much more through this show and got way more confident. Taehun is just so charming and that smile of his... oh boy. Objectively, I have no preference but personally, I loved the No More Dream performance way more! (also someone said that Taehun REALLY looks like Seonghwa but with a broader face and now I can't unsee it) Peek-a-Boo: THIS was the performance where I was so charmed by Yoon Min! Compared to other male idols who just completely butcher girl group songs with unsuitably powerful choreo I feel like this group really did the song justice with the light-heartedness and playfulness of their whole performance. Run Devil Run: that drop was kinda underwhelming but overall I felt like that was still a pretty solid performance, I don't have many thoughts about it though. I personally think that P Nation having a knack for darker and more intense concepts did them a disservice in this round. Eliminations: :( it's upsetting but necessary but honestly, I'd rather have each producer eliminate as many members as they deem necessary after each round as compared to having a strict 2+1 eliminations per live broadcast but I do get why they're doing this. By now it's fairly obvious that the P Nation team is more popular among fans and it is unfortunate that kpop operates in a way that fans just vote for who they stan rather than who actually did better. (While the show was running, all the twitter posts on their page got significantly more likes and as of now, the JYP LOUD twitter has 3/4 the amount of followers of the P NATION one) The P Nation team at that time also had a more dedicated and organized fanbase; I believe one person alone created around ~1,000 accounts to vote which is just fucking insane. Also I believe that at this stage the JYP members had a higher average number of votes (in the individual member fanvoting) as compared to the P Nation members, but as P Nation had more members they had more people supporting them. Another thing about the votes is that they're motivated by the previous week's result where people tend to vote for people ranked lower; Yoon Dongyeon was actually not placed that high in all previous episodes. (Minor spoiler but Donghyeon actually places quite high in fanvoting next episode as a result of this almost-elimination) The thing with JYP is that he has few of the high-ranked members with Keiju and Gyehun BUT then a significant portion of the other members such as Hyunwoo, Younggeon, Dongyeon and Doohyun were pretty underrated throughout this entire show. Whereas P Nation snagged quite a few members who were in the middle with fanvoting. One piece of reassurance for Sungjun: even if P Nation lost the next round and had to eliminate 2 members (of which one is chosen by PSY), PSY still has his wildcard and there's no way in hell PSY would not use it on Sungjun if he's last in fanvotes. I look foward to your reaction to the next episode (imo it's less heartbreaking than this episode) AND the stages, I think you'll enjoy what they have in store! another comment said it previously but once you have watched the next episode (where the final lineup is determined), you might want to search up P Nation's group (there should be a few articles on google but if you're not sure just search through their twitter). If you want to wait until you've finished the finale in ep. 15 that would be fine as well :>

kometose

Honestly, I wasn't surprised P Nation kept winning the rounds. In the spirit of the show's namesake "LOUD", P Nation stages have mostly been the "loud"-er one of the two starting from the Identity Mission, whereas JYP went for the more well-refined idol group. People are probably just more excited about it especially since it's P Nation's first idol group. Having said that... I was also very annoyed by the elimination system in the end. Feels very abrupt and JYP were losing great trainees quick. I was rooting for Yedam and I do hope PSY would at least keep him as a trainee - or for him to debut someday. Also... Taehun really does shine!

Lokkij

For me, JYP won this round hands down. It felt like the JYP team was showing all kinds of fun and new sides of themselves and executed the performances really well, while team P Nation did three competent performances that were functionally indistinguishable from any of their other performances. They didn't mention it in the episode, but Donhyeon also participated in all three JYP performances - which is incredibly impressive, as preparing three performances in one week with no dance background is just hellish. It's super surprising to me that he was voted in last place (this has to be a strategic voting thing, right?). I'm really happy with my decision to just look up the final lineups after a couple episodes, because this show would've destroyed me otherwise. I still don't love certain eliminations, but at least now I know about them in advance so I'm prepared for what's coming.

kisa1909

I knew when I watched episode 13 you were gonna have such a hard time b/c of Yedam. I'm sorry. I myself almost cried at the DongHyeon elimination, but JYP put his hand up to save him so fast I didn't have time to get into my emotions too much lol. I do honestly think PNation had more popular trainees, plus a lot of people just don't like JYP very much, even back when this was airing. It didn't surprise me. It sucked, b/c personally enjoyed quite a few of the JYP performances over PNation, but I was kinda prepared for PNation to sweep the board.

LoLo

Ugh these live broadcast episodes and the eliminations were so hard to watch the first time around and they haven't gotten any easier the second time either. I really hated the system and that they were forced to eliminate people because none of them deserve it. T.T Looking forward to next episode because that was one of my faves from the whole show!

Izak

See as much as people dislike mnets voting systems I 200% see why they do what they do ( I guess it's mainly different now because they do not want to have another vote manipulation issue, which i think a lot of people have yet to realise is unlikely to happen again anytime soon with mnets new shows as they are being monitored and fan vote numbers are now managed by other people and not mnet themselves, idk I just highly doubt one of the biggest gaming companies in korea is going to risk it all for the a temporary kpop idol group), both collecting points from the performances from the masters or producers or experts, and fan voting makes it more balanced. There is no avoiding fan voting in these shows and I think what loud doesn't do well is balancing it out when it matters, the Wreighr of fan voting was introduced very late I because JYP and psy were quite hands on with the creation of the performances that they did it purely based on fan votes, if they weren't then they could have split it half fan votes half producer or even have done what they did on treasure box where a card was picked and it was either audience or producer choice. I think if they do a Loud 2 or anything similar in the future and JYP and PSY still want to be hands on in the final performances tho they should invite other producers or other professionals to make the choice maybe. Dk if this makes sense I wrote jt while walking 😭

Izak
>>77510591

Idk I definitely think it's because the more popular members are on the pnation, a lot of the ones that I saw talked about the most before they chose their companies are now on the pnation team and I think even tho they are very talented the big voting difference has more to do with that than the music or excitement for pnations first group

BaoziBang

From everything I saw on SNS it was clear to me that JYP wouldn't win if they kept doing it like this. People really love the Style P Nation is going for and it seemed like a lot of people were just underwhelmed by the JYP Performances because they compared it to SKZ/GOT7/2PM and didn't see a "own color" for the JYP Team. It just felt like Competition Show Performances like Produce but P Nation felt like an Idol Group gearing up for debut defining their own Style.

Kpop_Platypus

I'm not sorry to say that I can't really empathize with having your bias not make it into the final group, because I learned my lesson from the first show I watched when #Gun didn't make it into Monsta X and in every survival show since, my #1 pick has made it into the final group - often in the top 3. This includes Loud. What can I say, I've got a good eye. #humblebrag There's no scenario in which fan voting ISN'T just a popularity contest. I'm only slightly better than your average, biased fan because I'm Team JYP all the way but I agree w/ PD's picks for each round in this episode. I was mad, too, when I first watched it & JYP lost 6 straight rounds, but the second time around I guess I've absorbed comments I've seen about the public seeing JYP as a well known factor who likely won't surprise them vs PSY as the exciting newcomer (in terms of producing idol groups)/underdog and voting for him/them as a result, totally regardless of the actual performances by either team. In the end, I'm satisfied with JYP's final team lineup & my two top picks got in, so I can't really complain.

WiseSmellyLegs

Billboard Mission: Team JYP: I do not know about this one… I mean I have nothing to say against it, but I came back to rewatch this performance only once since this episode was aired, which is basically “nothing” if I compare it to Havana or actually to any other LOUD performance… Only one thing I would like to say. I understand, why Lee Gye Hun is the “MVP” in this round and no offence to him, but I feel like another members there would be much better for solo dance breaks, like Yoon Min or Keiju for example. Team P Nation: I am glad they let Eun Hwi and Daniel to take a part in the production in the rearrangement of this song, it shows P Nation really plans to let the future group to be self-produced. But to be honest, it is a bit tricky with this performance, because I like latino music a lot, so I feel like I am a bit biased here and it is harder to me to compare these performances objectively. I previous round I could tell, which performance was better in my opinion, but also besides my opinion, I felt like: “Okay, although if someone is bigger fan of Team JYP than Team P Nation, they have to admit, Team P Nation went wild this round” and vice versa for Team P Nation with 10 Minutes performance, where I was surprised Team JYP did it much better. But this time, I totally understand if anyone has completely different opinion, because these performances are more neck to neck. By the way, not just Cheon Jun Hyeok, but Lee Ye Dam and Koki as well were missing for this performance. You have a really good point with their clothing! I have not thought about that. Which one was better: Team P Nation School Concept Mission: Okay… with Bad Guy I said I did not replay that performance more than once, but I forgot about this performance. I mean I remembered they performed with it in this round, but now when I saw the performance again, I realised I have not seen it since the release day of this episode… The same case as it was with Bad Guy for me, I do not have anything against it, but I am not sure with Gye Hun’s dance break, Keiju would have been better choice. Team P Nation: You were looking for the performance of Team P Nation, where everybody took a part, but the truth is there was no performance of all of them this round. As PSY said it was round of units, but since Team JYP had much less members, they had a performance with all members. Here Jang Hyun Soo and Oh Sung Jun were missing. About this performance! I feel like nothing could have been done better. Maybe it is because I like this song and it is one of my favorite ones by BTS, but besides the fact, what I like, I feel like because of this concept BTS made their name. I mean since Kpop is aiming for younger ones in their school years, with this concept it is really easy for fans to relate to it and I am not saying BTS were the first ones to do that or also they maybe did not do it the best, but they did as the concept not just for a comeback but for the whole group’s theme and that made them iconic and by that they gained their fans. So I feel like there could not be a better choice for this School Concept Mission. Which one was better: Team P Nation Girl Group Mission: Team JYP: For the first time I was like: “Okay! This is a really good performance!”, but later on I came back to replay this performance many times and I found out that from those three Team JYP performances from this round I liked this one the most and it might be because of Yoon Min and because of what JYP said about Yoon Min, I hope he finally realised how crucial Yoon Min is! Team P Nation: I heard some opinions that Team P Nation did again the same style as they have done many times already and yes, it is not the usual “girl group concept”, but the task was to take song done by a girl group and change it for a boy group to fit them. So I feel like they just did it the way to be the best for them. Like yeah, there are some expectations, when there is said: “Kpop girl group song”, but it is not like all girl groups have one concept, so they just took a concept that is not the stereotypical Kpop girl group. I came back here to this section of my comment, when you mentioned your thoughts about “having brass in every single song”, well… that is true. They still could have kept this song as their choice to keep that concept they wanted, but make it in a different way than their style is, but still it did not have to be necessarily a cute concept, if the attitude towards changing this song was different, than having brass all around the song. It might be because I know and like SNSD’s songs more than Red Velvet’s, but although unfortunately Lee Ye Dam did not shine as much as I was hoping for, Koki was totally killing it, his facial expression and stage presence is on another level and same as he showed/proved it last time with the Lazenca Save Us + Growl performance, he is capable to have some lines and it does not sound bad or weird, because of his voice, which has not gone through puberty yet. Which one was better: For the first time, I liked Team P Nation more, but now I cannot decide. As I said this time the whole round is neck to neck, if I compare it to the previous round, but I do not know. Like anyway… since I chose Team P Nation twice in this round, this last performance does not affect my final winner of this round. Your thoughts about eliminating someone before they announced it: Well, your thoughts about Team JYP are totally correct… Or to be honest, I can imagine having Youn Dong Yeon or Zo Doo hyun there instead of Lee Dong Hyeon, but since JYP will not allow anybody to eliminate him, I would have to choose from these two as you said. But I have a different opinion about Team P Nation. I see your point with redundancy, but also I agreed with your statement last time that it is good to have more than one producer in a group, so it is not so centred around the one member’s style. So although Daniel and Eun Hwi are really similar cases with their positions, since there are no other producers, I would keep both of them and I would rather eliminate someone else, who has position of a rapper and in that case it is Woo Kyung Jun, because I am not sure about that “finding himself and being able to be a rapper as TaeYong from NCT is”… In case of Jang Hyun Soo and Lee Ye Dam you are right, but I feel like it is sort of “cheating” keeping the former trainees so much. Like yeah, they are better idols/all rounders since they were trained. But it is not like with Yoon Min, who was trained somewhere else and took the risk of leaving his company to try his luck in LOUD. I know former JYPSY trainees could have been eliminated as well, but I feel like both JYPSY put those trainees there, because they wanted to debut them, or mainly PSY, with JYP and Lim Kyeong Mun it is a longer story because of Lee Dong Hyeon, but I will get to that next time. Eliminations: Youn Dong Yeon: I have written above more about him, so there is nothing more I can add to this. Lee Ye Dam: I wrote a comment just about his elimination, so the only thing I can say again is the same, what you said. This show was made to find exactly these artists/idols and since he was my favorite one, it really hurts my feelings. Nearly eliminated Lee Dong Hyeon: To be honest, I would have understood, if he was eliminated here. I mean, he would have made it really far enough, if we keep in mind he went from nothing and I can imagine him joining some another label and train for a few months or a year and debut there. About Ye Dam’s future: I follow him on instagram: https://www.instagram.com/yedam__lll/ He seems like he deiced to be only dancer with some dancing crew rather than be an idol. Or at least I assume this from his insta stories. But if I understood right he has just graduated high school this month, so maybe he wanted to finish his studies and now he will decide, what to do. You have really good point about the “illusion of freedom” of fan votes, but I will share my thoughts about that next time, when the eliminations are over…

little late but wtv cause this topic already made me mad when i watched the show while it aired. Ofc i was on social media at the time so i also have a feeling what most (at least international fans) thought. I think a big issue for the big difference in votes does not even in some cases have to do with the trainees. Many people/fans simply dislike jype and jyp himself (some valid reasons some rather dumb reasons). Meanwhile psy and pnation are way more liked by international fans (pnation being more "freer" and like stuff with hyuna and dawn). Like they have big popular points there. Also Daniel brought in a good amount of fans (he went semi viral on tiktok and i know many who werent even kpop stans but got interested in psy loud because of daniel).

obvi this is not the whole reason and also the ones pd mentioned play a huge role but i do think pnation being more liked also played a role in the votes. Like at the time there were many "solo" pnation team fans than just for jyp team.
