It's so good!! They did so much work for the storyline again!

DreamyStateOfMind

Since you asked Pd, about other teaser/trailers from other groups, the first that come to my mind are definitely all the trailers for Billlie, old and new (I don't remember if you've seen them already or not). Also, these ones have no real storyline, they're just super pretty visually speaking, but the Oneus teasers from this recent comeback, I definitely recommend those!

Hello PD, can you react to Flash by Rocket Punch, their newest Korean comeback? I’m amazed at how much content you’ve put out now but only just realized this is a reaction you might wanna check out

Le Sserafim also has an amazing teaser and trailer for their debut. They have one for each member that shows their color also the trailers are cinematic and have that runway fashion show kind of vibe. I'll provide all the links in order if you are ever interested in checking it out. You see a glimpse of the old man in the after scene in Guerrilla. His name is Left Eye, we know this because he has been a prominent character in the Diary entrees that Ateez puts into the Diary versions of their albums... Each comeback since Fever Part 1 has included Diary entrees that give us insight to their lore.

The old man actually appeared in the epilogue of the MV, that's when we also saw one of the kids escape from that facility that they showed in the first trailer. The world building has been insanely good! I remember when the first trailer came out it, it felt like the beginning of a movie! Yunho at the end saying - At all times, do question yourself - seriously gave me goosebumps! I was yearning for more of this series/movie lol I needed to know what happened next! That's the kind of effect it had on me

Tyisha

haha the old man was in the MV too. Especially at the end when they watched the tv. The kid left out the gate

I didn't even know they had a comeback until just the other day T.T usually Woolim e-mails me! I'll def film it this week :)

also the fact they spoiled “eyes in the sky” back in DECEMBER of 2021 is insane to me. they did a special stage for white love, which includes the lyrics “하늘은 봐” and when they sang that line, the giant screen behind them flashed red with those words in big bold. everyone at the time was like “oh, that’s kinda odd, it doesn’t fit the holiday spirit” but then didn’t think much else of it 🤣🤣

The entire rollout for this cb has been so cool. That song you heard in the very first video is part of the intro track to the album called PROPAGANDA and atz had a show one day before anything had been dropped where they handed out these papers with QR codes to atiny’s that had the “are you seeing this?” saying on them and the code linked to that song, and it happened like at least I think a month before they announced anything cb related. And to contextualize their lore a teensy bit (although these trailers have done a really good job of it IMO), the story is set in a dystopian society called Strictland. You can actually see the same city-scape they use in the trailers in previous MV’s (Eternal Sunshine and Fireworks). The biggest part of how they control society is by outlawing any form of artistic expression, with a specific focus on music. This is why Wooyoung’s dancing scene and Yeosang’s violin scene are there, because they are actively rebelling against the regime by engaging in music. The people within Strictland actually only see things in muted colours/B&W, hence the colouring of the trailers and also why the scene with the old man is in full colour. Because once atz escapes/sees through the regime, they now start to see in full colour. The last thing to note is that Strictland is one timeline, and eventually atz gets a hold of an hourglass (called a Cromer, and it’s why the hourglass has shown up in several MV’s and all of their Kingdom stages) that allows them to travel between dimensions. This is how they meet Hala-Hala-Teez, which is them but from a different timeline and who basically are helping the regular atz battle the regime. They are the ones wearing the fedoras and black outfits from the Hala Hala MV (hence our name for them), the Answer MV, and a few other pieces of older content. The masked men (the white ones with the crystals all over their masks like in the first video, the Answer and Fireworks MV, and the Answer Kindgom stage) are called Droids (I think I can’t remember) and they are basically sent by the government to hunt atz down and to steal the Cromer so atz is stuck in Strictland forever. There’s still some details around this part and how they come to meet and work with Hala-Hala-Teez that are missing and will come with future albums, because the order of the album series thus far has covered how they arrived in Strictland/the beginning (FEVER), how they begin to rebel (this current series), and then there’s a big gap in time between this new series and the original TREASURE series. Basically the best way to sum it up is that atz are trying to rebel against an oppressive regime that outlaws emotion and music, and they get helped by an alternate version of themselves who shows them how to hop dimensions while they get chased by government soldiers who are trying to stop them. So curious to see how they develop the story!

I wish they made a proper 2 hour movie of this, the story's so good! 😭 I'd totally pay for it

idk if you watch a lot of old films but the black and white scene with the Blimp going down behind Hongjoong reminds me a lot of the way Ingmar Bergman films are framed. there’s just a certain symmetry to the picture that makes it look even cooler. I loved these trailers and like others said, we wish they would make a Netflix series bc it’s super interesting!

AL

small correction but hongjoong said on showterview with sunmi that this comeback is from the point of view of halateez. It is happening in a separate universe from fever/pirateteez.

Mima

Hi PD!! Stray Kids are also preparing for comeback OCT 7th and releasing teasers so I would love to see those if you get the chance! So far they've done the album trailer and a MASHUP for the album, which in case you were worried--Chan himself said the songs were completely different than what we heard from it! Pretty sure they're still going to release extra teasers from it but would still hope to see you watch their stuff! I feel like this concept is really different/experimental for them so i'm excited

Brooklyn

Ah yes right! It’s hard to keep track of all the details sometimes 😅

Malaki.H

It's been over 6 months but I'm still hoping you could check out skz oddinary main trailer 😅 maybe you could watch it and their new one (for the maxient cb) together?

Aiz

V late but YES that would be so nice. oddinary and maxident trailers are off the walls insanely good PD please watch them if you can!
